We booked this house understanding that it was built in the 20s and is a bit rustic. It was perfect. It’s very comfortable. It met our needs very clean. And steps to the beach and to all the restaurants and bars we thoroughly enjoyed it and if we’re ever in this area again, we will definitely stay here. this is a very friendly community and if you stay here, I encourage you to frequent the local bars and restaurants also so cool.

My family and I stayed for the week of July 4th 2026. Booking was easy and host was nice & very prompt replying to any messages. Is this home 100% perfect IF you are looking for posh accommodations--no, but it was perfect "enough" for us. We enjoyed our stay so much that I plan to book again for next July! The home is older, so it has a "staying at grandma's feel". A few renovations could definitely be done to make it top-notch, but "fancy decor" is not a must for my family for a beach home. It was very clean, stocked and in a quiet area. Location can't be beat! Step out the door, pass another house, cross the street--and you are at the beach. This is a must for us with children. For our likes, we were not close to a lot of restaurants within walking distance. We did walk to one we enjoyed, but hopping in the car was a quick drive and not any crazy traffic to get to others. We grilled a few nights, but due to summertime bugs biting, we didn't get to hang out in the backyard. The backyard was not as pretty as the pictures show but I think the pictures were probably taken during a party/gathering. There were tables with adequate seating--it is secluded behind the house so it did give privacy. The grill itself wasn't usable "to us"...it's the small camp-site type and it looked like a part to it was broken, so we ran to Wal-Mart and grabbed a tabletop type. We spent 99% of our time at the beach, which was beautiful, clean and calm. We can't wait to be back!

House is barely 1 block from the beach and 2 blocks from 3rd St (which is like a main st). Rooms were clean and kitchen had everything

Our family of five stayed for a long weekend to visit family in the Jacksonville area. This was a great place to stay. Close to restaurants, easy access to nearby attractions/day trips and great location to the beach. Already planning to book again.

Responsive host, amazing location. Great outdoor back yard space (fire pit, patio furniture, grill, heated shower). Well stocked kitchen (hurray for lots of utensils!). Single story with one step to front porch- very easy access for mobility restricted individuals. Cozy and charming, as described!

Graduation

Stayed here for my daughter’s graduation celebration, the house was well equipped to handle our family and the back courtyard was perfect for our family gathering, provided plenty of shade for everyone to sit outside. Loved being so close to the beach. Would love to stay here again and recommend it

Piece of heaven near the beach!

We absolutely loved our stay. Second time staying in this cottage with all my kids, plus our dogs. This beautiful cottage is conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants and souvenirs shops. Location and beach access is perfect. Highly recommend

Perfect location, will stay again!

This is a perfect location for a beach getaway. We will definitely come back with a larger group next time. Beach is right across the street and house is within walking distance of several restaurants. We very much enjoyed this house!

Festival Stay

We were in town for the blues festival. House was close enough to walk, lots of room to stretch out. Back patio was nice to sit and relax. Had a great stay.

Jax beach Easter 2025

Cottage perfect for family needing separate spaces with doors and was not the typical open plan. It was perfect. Very tastefully decorated home that is obviously loved and cared for by owner. Also, stocked with essentials generously. Jean is a fabulous hostess.
