The Blue Moon cottage is an older cabin with a beautiful garden and the view is spectacular. The decor is rather eclectic with lots of unique knick-knacks and lamps and nature. We could tell how much Janet loves her garden and cottage.

Great location. Lots of places to hike and to watch the ocean. Clean quiet cottage. Many artists display in the area. Good places to dine in Damarascotta.

Excellent home base to explore Pemaquid

Very comfortable house, we could tell it is well loved as the owners vacation home. We used this location to explore SCUBA diving in mid coast Maine.

Perfect and cozy!

Janet's place was the most comfy and relaxing place we have stayed in Maine for 25 years! A slice of paradise and we can't wait to visit again next year! Private, quiet, peaceful and beautifully decorated!

Perfect sunset view

Janet's cottage was perfectly cozy and welcoming with an amazing view of the sunset. The kitchen had everything we needed for the week. It definitely felt like home.

Spectacular location and pristine cottage!

Janet is the most gracious hostess and the house was lovely. The beds were extremely comfortable, the furnishings cozy and the deck and porch were perfect for lounging in the sea breeze. The outdoor shower and ability to explore the tide pools just down the banking were our favorite parts; right behind the quick walk to the light house, which made our stay and explorations so convenient and relaxing.

Exceptional

This was a perfect place to stay to experience Pemaquid Point. The cottage is stunning. Janet clearly loves this place and it shows ! It was clean and quiet and every view was spectacular. We will definitely be staying again. I cant say enough good things. Thank you Janet for sharing your beautiful space with us!

Lovely, comfortable ottage with a view

Janet was very helpful and accommodating as we stayed in her cottage while moving into our new house. When our furniture was delayed she let us stay extra days. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. Thank you.

Whimsical and cozy cottage in a magical place

Janet was very accommodating and very responsive. This beautiful cottage was beautifully decorated with lots of cozy blankets, pillows, candles, lanterns, books and items related to the area. Attention to detail was paid in every corner. Gardens are breathtaking and flowers can be viewed from every location within and outside. Although we did not have an opportunity to use the outside shower, we were quite curious and will have to book again for this opportunity.

Perfect as listed

This cottage was perfect for our stress free getaway! It provided us with privacy and close enough to explore pemaquid lighthouse and beach along with other attractions. The cottage itself was beautiful with special little touches in every nook and cranny. Everything you could possibly need was stocked at the cottage. My favorite was the beautiful screened in porch. My husband and I ate out there whenever we stayed in and cooked. We also enjoyed birdwatching on the deck as the bird feeders attracted such a nice variety of birds. The hostess was very easy to communicate with and very prompt and helpful in her responses. We will definitely stay there again if we ever visit that area of Maine again.

Pretty view and the sunsets were gorgeous. Towels and linens were clean and nicely presented. The kitchen was not stocked with useable cookware. Everything was old or broken. Glad we know how to use a french press. We had to go buy our own lobster pot and utensils. There was no TV or cd player. We like to read but kids might not appreciate this. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would probably not go back due to the condition of the kitchen amenities. Made cooking impossible.

The listing is still incorrect

When we sought a property for our trip, we looked specifically for a place that had two bathrooms as well as a television (for better or worse, it fills the gaps at the end of the day). This property does not have those and even after I mentioned this, no changes to the listing have happened. The location of the property is terrific, the screened deck was a pleasure and the communication was very good but only one of the beds was of a high standard. My mother stayed in the room with two beds and each one had some issues for her. I can respect that some of these issues might have no concern for people who might stay here but the incorrect list of amenities affected our trip.
