The Twin Oak cabin is secluded, with a hot-tub on the back deck which over looks a beautiful wooded valley. Borders a nearly 2,000 acre state park, with beautiful hardwoods and well-marked trails for hiking or mountain biking. Just 3 miles down the road are more trails, plus a 200 acre lake for swimming, boating, and fishing. If supplies are needed, the city of Athens is less than 15 minutes away, with unique shopping opportunities and one-of-a-kind restaurants who emphasize using local ingredients in their offerings. Perfect for couples, families, outdoor getaways, OU event weekends or just a relaxing stay!

Excellent location, and great cabin! The directions to get there were easy to follow, and the cabin was cute and clean. It was a great way to explore Stroud's Run State Park, which is spectacular.

My husband and I were wanting a few quiet days away from the hustle and bustle of life to relax and recharge. This cabin was perfect! It's truly a remote cabin located just a few miles from the Lake . Tons of hiking in the area. Just far enough from Athens to feel remote, but close enough to restaurants and stores to be convenient. The cabin was well stocked. Had everything we needed. Super cute and cozy. The bed was comfortable . Would definitely stay here again.

This place was well kept and well maintained. Very clean! Comfy, cozy. I would stay here again. My favorite was the chocolates in the refrigerator! And also the hot tub. Location was secluded in nature, quiet, but felt very safe!

Best location for hiking by far.We walked up the driveway amd hiked for over 7 miles and 5 hours, with more trails we didnt cover.It was well kept and anything we needed was on site from kitchen to hygiene products, in the even we forgot anything.Hot tub, grill, firepit area and nature quiet.

The property was well-maintained and the location was very beautiful! The cabin-style home was a great get away and we loved Strouds Lake which is right next door.

Host was very responsive and communicative. The property couldn't be more remote, yet only 15 min from town. You can walk out the door and be on a trail in the woods in 3 minutes on foot. Everything was clean and very dog-friendly. Covers on the sofa/chair, no carpeting in the rooms, bowls provided (even a ball and dog biscuits!). Other reviews mention the driveway - we had no trouble at all in our Chevy Trailblazer in 2-wheel drive. It is a steeper gravel drive but I would have been comfortable even in my Honda FIT driving on it. I'm sure winter is a different story, but if you're smart about where you park and know how to drive ;) it's not an issue at all. Would definitely stay again.

A great place to escape

Lovely property. Right next to the park. The cabin was cozy and well appointed. Views were beautiful and we will definitely be staying here the next time we are back in Athens.

Familt Gathering for OU Celebration

Very nice, clean, and roomy cabin! Everything we needed for a relaxing weekend and small gathering. The hot tub is nice and the views are beautiful. Close to great hiking, too.

Nice, quiet, secluded, but close to everything

We had a great time. The cabin is clean, quiet and very welcoming. The bowl of dog treats was a nice touch.

Well needed get away

We were so pleased with our stay! They really thought of everything you might need or may have forgotten. The hot tub was very clean and warm. The whole experience was wonderful. I would highly recommend staying here! We will be with our family.

Amazing! Loved it!

It’s beautiful, not too hard to locate, we were given perfect directions! Driveway a bit crazy but parking at top was great! Butting up to the national park was beautiful! Definitely returning! Great stay, great cabin, loved the location!

Getaway cabin Twin Oaks

Since we had e bikes and a canoe, the Sundown bike trail was an adventure and easily accessable from the cabin. Then we fished and camped in Dow lake at Stroud Park only 3 miles from the cabin.

We were fortunate to find this cabin for a relatively last-minute one-night stay, and we ended up wishing we could stay much longer. The location is quite close to Athens, but is extremely peaceful and quiet. The cabin itself is perfectly clean and welcoming (linens, tea, cookware, toiletries, etc). Host is thoughtful and had a very clear check-in/check-out process. We will check here first for any future, hopefully longer stays.

Amazing

Where to start this place was amazing, we loved how they he was they added stuff for our K9 daughter she absolutely loved the treats and squeaky toys. The hot tub was very nice on a cold rainy New Year’s Eve. Definitely will be saving this place for another trip
