Charlie (The Host) was amazing. Very friendly and attentive. Shared great ideas on things to do around the area. I will definitely be back.

The cabin was very cute and comfortable. I would stay at this place again but I would pick the cabin with the porch overlooking the creek next time.

Perfect spot for a getaway.

We went on our 20th wedding anniversary for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay! Our cabin was steps away from a running creek and we left the bedroom windows open at night for the sound of the running water. It was quiet and close to Salida. We will definitely stay here again! If you want to unplug and have a relaxing stay...this is the place.

A foretaste of heaven

The cabin is situated right on the river with mountains in the background. You couldn’t ask for a more peaceful and relaxing environment. The property host is friendly and available. We love this place!!!!!

We had a wonderful week staying at this cabin and truly enjoyed every moment. The setting was peaceful, the space was clean and comfortable, and it made for a perfect getaway. What stood out most, though, was the owner, Charles. He was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and clearly takes great pride in the property. From the little details in the cabin to his responsiveness and hospitality, everything reflected care and intention. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-managed retreat—we would gladly return.

Cozy cabin by the river

We enjoyed this cabin immensely for our long ski weekend. It was so cozy and the fire a-blazing made for an incredibly warm and relaxing atmosphere. The cabin was clean and the kitchen was well equipped to allow us to prep our dinners and breakfasts. The proximity to Monarch, Salida, and the river were ideal. The host, Charles, was attentive and friendly. We will be back!!

Good stay! The place is nice with the sound of the creek nearby. The cabin cooled off nicely at night. Super old school spot. Could use a few more decent bowls, plates and glasses. The porch sitting is awesome and I’d love to see more comfy seating out there. It’s a place in progress but has got great “bones”

Remote

The property was more remote than we expected. Old appliances. If you plan to grill - be sure to bring BBQ briquets, lighter fluid and a lighter. Very peaceful, quiet setting. There was no microwave. We were able to use the Wi-Fi - without it, no phones.
