This Modern Marvel is one of Salida's premier Owner managed vacation rentals and the definition of clean and perfect. This second story space is new, custom built & located in the heart of Salida. This is our house, not just a second home or a condo stacked up with the others. The Modern House includes a unique two person extra-large 4 ft deep by 4 ft square Japanese Soaking tub. It also boasts a giant second story balcony complete with BBQ grill and plenty of comfy seating. You can walk downtown, access local hiking and mountain bike trails right from the home. The Arkansas river is within walking distance for Fly Fishing and rafting. Boat launches are close and property has enough space to park you trailer. Enjoy the 360 great views of Sangre de cristo & Collegiate peaks from the 2nd story covered deck and every window in the home. Guests are required to agree to a basic rental agreement for the safety & protection of both parties.

This second story 2 bedroom home offers a huge, fully stocked custom kitchen, living room with 65 inch Smart TV with App based TV services that provide local news, sports and channels. A large, custom Mid Century modern sofa. a luxurious 4 foot deep by 4 foot wide Japanese soaking tub that accommodates 2 with a separate large rain shower in Master Bath. A great spot to relax after a long day on the slopes or trails. Washer+dryer IN home, propane BBQ grill on 2nd story deck, A/C which is a unique feature to a Salida home. This home is a new build, not a renovation. This home was stick built from scratch, Large private patio at ground level in side yard with custom flagstone patio. 1st story entryway with lots of room for shoes and outdoor wear. Side yard can be gate locked to store bikes/skis/kayaks, etc. The home is brand new so please take good care of the space. Master bedroom includes a SmartTv as well. Beautiful views from every large window in the home with loads of natural light. No pets permitted at this rental.
**Please note, the administration fee on listing is for a voter approved lodging tax starting 1/1/2023 payable to City of Salida PER BEDROOM- PER NIGHT of $15 on top of regular taxes. This tax is to be used to promote affordable and workforce housing in Chaffee County per the City of Salida. We apologize for this fee and hope the City will see fit to offer a reprieve asap.

Salida Mid-century modern with everything for you

After staying here, I now lust for a bigger kitchen with upgraded appliances. Dream kitchen. Upscale appliances throughout, including Japanese soaking tub and huge TV. Very comfortable at every level, from living room to bedrooms with great mattresses. Jaimie has left no stone unturned in effort to create a modern masterpiece near the best places in Salida.

Great vacation

The house is very clean and well-appointed. I didn't understand the bathroom layout based on the VRBO photos; could have been a little awkward with guests since the "two" bathrooms are really the same room separated by a pocket door. However, it was just our small family so it was fine. Good trip?

Fab and comfy

Loved the decor and design. Clean, modern, appealing, and had every amenity we needed. Half a mile from the heart of town. Bed was super comfortable, soaking tub a unique feature. Jaime was a gracious host and good communicator. Will come back when we're in this part of the state.

Short stay over on a long drive

Property owner was very nice, we had a very late checkin so they made sure to leave the lights on for us. Place wa as described and very well kept.

Very nice place

Although we only stayed one night we were very pleased with the unit. We have stayed in many places on our journeys and this was as nice as many of them. Would recommend to anyone. Especially enjoyed the beautiful kitchen. Even though we didn't use it, it was well stocked.

Amazing views - great decor

We loved staying at this wonderful property. The views were incredible and so was the kitchen. The beds were very firm and comfortable. We would love to stay again.

Wonderful modern well-supplied apartment--10 minute walk to downtown.

We had a great time in this VRBO. It was supplied with everything we needed and more. The dishes and cookware were good quality, the beds were comfy, living room and deck comfortable for lounging, and though it was on a main street, it was very quiet. Everything was very well-made. Nice art on the walls--it was clear that the owners have very good taste. Jaime was so nice and very accommodating to us. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again. Thanks, Jaime!

Beautiful home on the second level in a busy street in an old commercial area.

It was beautiful if you only looked up to the trees and off to the miuntains but bad if you looked down to the street

Great Place

The house was clean, well maintained and as described. Owners communicated well. The house has super views and as a bonus, you can see S mountain, and it's lights at night.

Great stay in Salida

My wife and I stayed four nights during a mtb trip on the Monarch Crest. Very pleased with our stay - home was clean and was instantly comfortable Kitchen and home are well stocked with anything you need to cook, make cocktails, grill out, etc. The host, Jamie, was very communicative and responsive. Would definitely stay again next time we're in Salida.

Excellent stay

This is a super cute, modern top floor of a house. Gorgeous views out of all the windows. Great deck, comfy beds and linens. Very well stocked kitchen and really cool Japanese soaking tub! House was spotless, easy to access, and a quick walk to the center of town. Perfect for 2 couples or a small family. Great home base to explore the area!

Beautiful and comfortable stay in Salida

My friend and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway from Denver, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice! Absolutely beautiful finishes and amazing views throughout, within a mile of the main town area which made for some great shopping, and the perfect kitchen to cook breakfast. I would totally stay here again!
