Soak in 180-degree mountain views from your private hot tub and porch while waterfalls echo from nearby Fightingtown Creek. The Lazy Laurel is a secluded cabin retreat at the end of a private mountaintop street in Cherry Log, just 20 minutes from Ellijay and Blue Ridge's shopping, dining, wineries and breweries. Two full suites (king up, queen down) sleep guests in comfort, with two patios and a fire pit terrace for year-round mountain views. Dog-friendly, with a gated patio for safe outdoor time.

Prime Location: Less than 20 minutes to the wineries, breweries, and orchards of Blue Ridge and Ellijay. Just 30 minutes from Ocoee river rafting.

Layout: Our two-story cabin offers a private bedroom and full bathroom on each floor, providing plenty of space and privacy for your group. The top floor features a cozy living room with a gas fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee bar.

Downstairs, the game room is the perfect hangout spot. The space includes a pool table, air hockey, darts, and a large smart TV. Just off the game room is a separate queen bedroom and full bath.

Outside, the top-floor porch has a built-in gate to keep pets and toddlers safe while you enjoy the year-round mountain views. On the lower deck, you'll find our hot tub and a fire pit—perfect for a peaceful evening under the stars.

My husband and I came for a Labor Day getaway and the cabin was perfect. The home was well stocked and comfortable. It is in a peaceful area within 20 minutes of Blue Ridge.

The pictures doesn't do this property justice. It is so much better! Stocked with everything you need. Owners were easy to get in touch with! I would give it higher rating than 5 if I could!

Great cabin, great location, clean and spacious. Note: the drive up the mountain and especially the driveway down to the property is steep so make sure you have a decent vehicle to access the site.

So glad you loved our beautiful cabin and location! Yes, the last 1/4 mile road up to the top of our neighborhood is steep but well maintained and accessible by 2WD (our full time neighbors have a Camry). We also share a video in our welcome guide showing a full size SUV parking and turning around in our paved driveway since the first time can be intimidating. Hope to host you again!

A peaceful paradise in the mountains. Extremely clean, charming and warm. We traveled with our 2 small dogs and they loved it too. Sitting on the porch, listening to the creek and birds was just what we all needed. We will definitely stay here if we are back in the area. One of the better stocked kitchens for a rental. The beds were comfortable too. The bonus for us was we were able to view the Lunar Eclipse 8/28/2026

It’s a nice mostly secluded place. You can barely see the house next-door. Hot tub and fire pit area and porches are totally private. The house was meticulous. Everything was comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the charming Lazy Laurel Cabin. The front porch has an amazing view and it was the perfect place to read a book and listen to the creek and birds. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The fireplace in the family room is gas powered and easy to operate. The bedrooms are a nice size with comfortable beds. The cabin is nestled in the woods and we enjoyed the serenity. Blue Ridge Georgia is a beautiful area and we would love to come back.

We had an amazing weekend at this cozy getaway. The cabin has everything you need to relax and unwind. The owners were incredibly responsive. It was the perfect size for the 3 of us. We would stay here again!

This is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful cabin in the mountains. The inside was spotless and the kitchen had all the cookware and utensils you need. It is a bonus not to see any neighbors from the deck. If you are looking for a quiet getaway this cabin fits the bill. Be aware, it is accessed via some steep, single lane, gravel roads. If you pay attention, a 2-wheel drive vehicle can make the trip just fine. This adds to the remoteness of the cabin, even though there are some neighbors nearby. It's about a 20 minute drive or so to Blue Ridge. Plenty to see there, plus 2 nice breweries. It is also close to McCaysville, GA/Copperhill, TN. Two more nice breweries here. I would highly recommend this cabin as a quiet getaway.

The cabin was awesome. My son and I were looking for some well deserved rest and relaxation and this place was it. It was peaceful and quiet with lots of birds singing and the sound of the creek running was very pleasant. We had a great time in The Man Cave game room. We hope to visit again next year.

Host was extraordinarily welcoming and the environment and setup of the cabin felt like you were back at home. Host made sure that all the essentials you might need were provided at the cabin and was nice enough to give enough to last a few days like toilet paper, paper towels, and coffee pods. One of the best getaways you could ask for, would absolutely return in the future!

Was a private great cabin with stream sounds. Lacked clean fresh smell, no wood for firepit. No salt and pepper and no toiletries. Other than that it was perfect.

When you asked about firewood 5 days before your stay, we responded saying we ask guests to bring their own to which you responded "thank you". We provide our cell numbers for any issues or supplies missing during your stay and the only message we received was "We love it! it's perfect!" when you arrived so we are sorry to hear you were disappointed with some missing supplies. We can always supply guests during their stay with anything missing. Glad it was perfect otherwise.

We are the Wilsons, a family of 4 native Floridians that fell in love with the Blue Ridge area. We like to invest in vacation homes in the areas we love to visit and share those homes with guests while we aren't in town. We currently host at our house on Lake Louisa in Clermont, FL and at our mountain cabin in Cherry Log, just outside of Blue Ridge, GA. These two homes exemplify our love for both the water and the mountains.

As experienced hosts, we know that cleanliness and responsiveness are the most important factors for a great stay and great reviews afterward! We are available 24/7 should any issues or questions arise during your stay.

We purchased the Lazy Laurel cabin in 2024. We found it to be the perfect location with a secluded feel yet centrally located less than 10 miles to either Blue Ridge or Ellijay. Even though you won't see any homes while relaxing on the property, our cabin is located at the dead end of a street with fewer than 10 homes. It is a quiet little neighborhood that is dog friendly. You will often see other owners and renters out walking dogs and enjoying the great mountain views.
