Chic and modern cottage in Millbrook, in the heart of the Hudson Valley. In-ground, heated pool and bi-level back deck. Pool open from Memorial Day weekend- Labor Day. Bright, open main floor - modern kitchen with huge granite counter, stainless appliances and wood and glass cabinets. Master bedroom, full bath and laundry on the main floor. 2 bedrooms upstairs and full bath. Finished lower level with sofa, queen sleeper sofa and chaise lounge and Ping Pong table. Central A/C on all 3 floors. Relax with a glass of wine from the Millbrook Winery on the front porch or barbeque on the rear deck and enjoy dinner by the pool. 3 night minimum stay for all Summer rentals (Memorial Day-Labor Day)

This is a lovely house with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable vacation, including a fantastic in-ground pool. Marcia is an amazing host, very responsive and more than pleasant to deal with. You feel secluded and private in a beautiful rural environment, but are just minutes from the adorable town of Millbrook and every convenience, from great restaurants to gigantic grocery stores, all of which are easily accessible. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful part of the country.

Nice house in a good location

The house was perfect for what we needed for the week, cute, clean and well appointed. It’s very quiet yet very close to everything Millbrook has to offer.

Charming house with a heated pool in a convenient location

The house was really cute and comfortable. It had a nice private location, but was really close to town where we enjoyed the farmers market, Barberos and Babettes. Marsha recommended Wethersfield Estates, which was amazing, as was Innisfree Gardens. Would definitely go back!

Great House in Millbrook!

I wish I could give Marcia more than 5 stars for communication. She was amazing! The house was wonderful and quaint. Definitely will rent again when in the area.

Summer getaway

We wanted a quiet property in countryside close to NYC with a pool, and got it! Amenities like wifi, AC, pool were great, and there was more than enough space for our two adults and one toddler. The town of Millbrook nearby was charming and great for food. We went to a farm nearby to feed alpacas, went to a zoo (twice), and to various small playgrounds.

Excellent hostess. The property and the location are even better than advertised. The property is very comfortable and nicely appointed. The location of the property is even better than I I hoped for. The trees and foliage around the property provide a relaxed atmosphere. which is accented by the songs of the birds who make their home in the area. Loved the pool..

Property was even better than advertised. The home is so spacious and wonderfully furnished. We had 5 adults and a teenager and a dog during our stay and everything was fantastic. The pool is amazing. The utilities are great. The location is also very quiet and calm. Far enough away to be peaceful but not too far that it’s inconvenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It did rain one night and we had such a blast playing cards and ping pong in the basement! Would recommend for any family or large group trying to find a place to stay!

Lovely autumn weekend upstate

This house was a beautiful place to stay for a cozy weekend upstate with family. Lots of interesting antiques. My 6-year old daughter loved playing ping pong in the basement. We were disappointed that the pool wasn’t available but I understand it’s closed after Labor Day.

Beautiful Home!

There was everything we could need in this beautiful home -- even a menorah! It is very convenient to Vassar and the Culinary Institute of America, which was the main purpose for our trip. The furnishings, artwork and decor are gorgeous. The homeowners are quite the collectors! We were very warm, cozy and comfortable here and plan on going back again! Thanks Marcia!

perfect spot for friends

This house was perfect for our group of 3 friends. Lots of space, room for privacy if you want it. The living area/dining/kitchen area is open and a great hangout spot. The kitchen contains a huge amount of dishes and cookware. The area is quiet yet very near Millbrook. Lots of great lighting, which we as knitters really appreciated! Really a great place to stay. We had everything we needed, and the few times I contacted the owner with questions she answered almost immediately. It was super clean and very well maintained. And, did I mention, lots of space!

Quiet road

Since I travel some with my dogs, it was important to have a property that allowed dogs. There was a little grass area to walk them on and the road was fairly quiet so I did not have to worry about traffic. Marcia was very responsive to any questions I had. The only thing I was not prepared for was the difficulty with cell service in the area However, the Wi-Fi in the house allowed me to stay in touch with home.

Nice stay!

Overall it was a nice relaxing weekend. Unfortunately the pool heater didn’t work however she was quick to respond. We understand things happen. Close to the town. The biggest downfall was the hard beds, that are basically cots and the rotten egg smell from the water which is from the sulfur from water. (If your from anymore but upstate you’ll notice) Otherwise it’s a relaxing stay and host is very responsive!

Thank you for your review. I’m glad the weekend was relaxing. Regarding the water, our water is from a well. We have a filtration system however occasionally there can be an unpleasant odor. It is perfectly safe for drinking, cooking and bathing. We are going to look into finding a solution to eradicate the smell. As for the beds, every bed in the house has a mattress and box spring. You can see clearly from the photos that none of them are cots. Sorry if you weren’t comfortable- some people prefer a firmer mattress, others a softer one. The mattresses are on the firmer side since they are fairly new. Thank you for your stay and taking the time to share your thoughts.

Stay in Millbrook

The house was definitively a good place for a family of 6. We were a party of two; thus, we only used the first floor and expected everything to work out well. Unfortunately, there was sewage smell in the kitchen and the bathroom. I contacted the owner and she said it was sulfur (well system) and she was thankful we told her. I also pointed out the lights were not working in the basement above the ping pong table. Furthermore, the bathroom sink was partially clogged and water accumulated. And the toilet came back with debris when flushed. All minor inconveniences but they were unpleasant and unexpected. The house was fine but nothing cute as the description suggests. Plates and glasses not pristine clean so i washed them before using them. There was clutter in the drawers and basement. All things that can be corrected for a more pleasant stay. The swimming pool was all i cared about as well as the grill area, and those two were working well.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. The bathroom sink has been unclogged and there hasn’t been any debris in the toilet prior to your stay or since. We will keep an eye on that for the future. Sorry about the light over the ping pong table. Occasionally bulbs burn out and when we notice them, they are replaced immediately. I’m not sure what clutter you’re referring to - remember this is our home and we have belongings here. Closets and drawers in the bedrooms are empty for guests to use. I’m sorry you didn’t find the house “cute,” but it is accurately depicted in all the photos on our listing. Everyone’s taste is different, sorry ours wasn’t to your liking.

This comfortable, clean house sits close to the village of Millbrook, convenient for dining and a bit of shopping. The house has amenities comfortable for a short or longer stay. The bedrooms are well organized for a family or several friends. In summer the pool, a good size one for the property, is delightful, and the central air conditioning a definite plus given the recent heat spell. The host was immediately responsive to the few questions we had and resolved a couple of minor matters quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Some great, some bad. The location is really nice; remote surroundings yet very close to the lovely village. The Pool was great; as was the patio and deck area around the Pool. The beds were comfortable as were the living areas. It was too hot to sit on the front porch but, this looks like a nice place to watch the world go by; the road is very quiet with little to no traffic (very nice). We did not utilize the finished basement but, it seemed nice; especially if you have kids. The listing notes a DVD player; there was no DVD player but, the living room does have a Smart TV with streaming options. Check-in was frustrating due to a small typo in the directions (a number for the code was mistakenly advised as a 0 when it's actually a 9) but, it was quickly corrected and Marcia answered calls very quickly. This would have been all great. However, the House's well water created a very pungent hydrogen sulfide odor every time any of the faucets were used. It was a smell well beyond normal for well water. Merely running the shower downstairs enveloped the entire first floor in the pungent smell. The situation was unacceptable for the price paid; we had to use bottled water to wash hands, brush teeth, etc.. Given this, we actually departed early as it was too uncomfortable to remain. Marcia said she would have the situation assessed by a plumber.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property in Millbrook, New York. The home was very clean, comfortable, and had everything our family needed for a relaxing getaway. Marcia was an exceptional host — extremely communicative and always quick to respond to any questions we had, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.Our only regret was that the weather didn’t cooperate enough for us to fully enjoy the gorgeous pool, which looked absolutely amazing. We would definitely love to come back again, hopefully with sunnier weather next time!
