It was nice, but the whirlpool tub jets would not shut off so we had to close the bathroom door in order not to hear it. The toilet would flush but the mechanism inside would not turn off.

Such a hidden gem here in Southern illinois. We enjoyed ourselves so much. So very peaceful and relaxing. We are now planning another trip to your facility soon.

Great view of river from porch. Clean accommodations and convenient for exploring Shawnee National Forest. Added bonus that it was pet friendly.

The bungalow was a good efficiency space with an excellent kitchen appliances and everything you need to cook meals. My favorite time was to sit on the porch and watch the river flow. It was so relaxing. There were trails you could walk. I remember one evening, I was stressed and went for a walk. It was so quiet with nothing but birds chirping their songs. It was so nice to be in quiet space for a couple of days.

Loved our room. Very clean. Everything well stocked with anything we may need. Even a flashlight-if needed. Spacious room to spread out. Loved the option of having a golf cart to ride around in. However, you should make more trails to drive around on. Communication was excellent. Plus, it was nice and quiet to be in Nature to get grounded again. Will love to stay again next year! Thank you for everything.

Amazing view. Quiet and serene. Cabin was a convenient location to the hiking we planned. Would have preferred a much firmer bed, otherwise a good stay.

The grounds are beautiful. The property is rundown, but the managers are slowly renovating and are open to suggestions. The view of the river from the shared back deck was lovely, but our experience was spoiled by an inconsiderate guest chain smoking upwind from us.

We took a chance to go to southern illinois because we never went to Shawnee forest. It was a lovely stay. The ybit was wonderful and set on a cliff above the Ohio river. Kitchen and bathroom were great. Great water pressure in shower. Back dwck was great to sit and relax at in the night time. Nice fire put out back. Was more a wonderful place to stay than doing acticities on site. We left to find adventured and activities nearby. It is set perfectly for short drives to the forest or to state parks on the river which we spent the days visiting and exploring the area. Lots of sights to see and places to experience.

Quiet Getaway

Cabin feel- 4 unit rental was clean and nice. It overlooked the Ohio River, and was beautiful and relaxing.

We had a great stay. The place was very clean and comfortable. The beds were so nice. Our favorite was sitting out on the deck overlooking the river. It was a peaceful getaway. We were even able to take a short trail down to the river. I highly recommend a stay here.

This was our first time here and had a fabulous experience. Location right off the Ohio River, walking paths, excellent views, and privacy. Everything we needed to unplug.Wish we had found this place 15 years ago!

Fun weekend

This is such a beautiful property. Its right on the river and the firepit outside was awesome. Walking trails and not too far from great hiking! We really enjoyed time. We will be going back and we would definitely recommend this resort!
