Lovely comfortable apartment with private outdoor space and mountain views. Light filled rooms, full kitchen and laundry room, and indoor and outdoor gas fireplaces. Cool off in the pool on summer days. Less than 2 minutes and you are on highway 24.

Loved our stay here. The house was immaculate and located in a peaceful, quiet area, yet only minutes from shops and great places to eat. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. The space had all the essentials, plus nice touches like a cozy fireplace and a comfortable bed. It felt like a home away from home. Would definitely stay again.

Lots of space within the apartment. Well-appointed features. There are stairs to go down to reach the apartment, but well done with good handrails and lighting.

Don is a good host and provided a video on accessing the property. The property was clean, comfortable and cozy. We really appreciate all the amenities.
Loved having the fireplace during the cool and rainy weather we experienced. Wonderful space.

Had a lovely stay at Don’s home. It was very clean and I was excited to see a full kitchen, along with a Bosch microwave that was very easy to use. The check-in process was easy, and Don was available if I needed anything. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect stay!

Super clean, just the right size for two people! Gorgeous patio and view of the hills. Easy access to downtown Lafayette and 24, but far enough away to be quiet and secure. Would happily stay again!

I am wondering why you gave me such an average score. Your comments are all positive, I supplied you with extra towels, helped you get on line. What caused you to consider my unit average. That is only the second time I have had a 3 star rating in the 7 years I have been renting it.

Great stay

I had a unique situation where I didn't know my exact length of stay - Don was very understanding and said to just keep him posted as I stayed. It's a great place to stay, Don is a great guy and I really enjoyed my time there!

Wonderful VRBO!

This is a special oasis in the original Lafayette hills

Don's guest house is a rare find in the Lafayette /Orinda/ Walnut Creek area. I am a native who has lived away for decades and this place is the character of why the Bay Area was a great place to be from!

Quiet peaceful stay.

Don is a great host, very attentive but left us alone. The property is in a quiet neighborhood of Lafayette. You will need a car. Wonderful place for going on walks.

Charming

The apartment was comfortable and so cute, with all the upgrades. The yard was beautiful and the host friendly. We will stay here again next time we are in Lafayette.

A Slice of Paradise

Our best VRBO experience by far! Host was very responsive, unit was well stocked to meet any needs, neighborhood and the backyard in particular with squirrels and birds and gardens provided a restful, tranquil setting for enjoyment and relaxation, including a pool. Would love to stay there again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Everything was clean and nicely set up. Beautiful yards. Plenty of privacy. Coffee maker acted up, had a new one same day. Great host.

Peaceful home away from home

this is our second time at Donald's place. It is a perfect location for us when we visit family. Lovely area for walks and a short drive away from great restaurants and shopping options in downtown Lafayette. The place is very comfortable, about the only complaint I have is the lack of heat in the bedroom, especially felt this year because of the unusually long and wet winter.

House Hunting

We needed housing for 30 days while we searched for a home to purchase in Walnut Creek area. This vacation rental served our purpose. We had all the basics we needed for a 30 day stay. Plus, we had access to a pool and a fireplace. Don was extremely responsive to all of our questions and needs. Would definitely recommend this vacation rental to anyone seeking a comfy place to stay for a week or even a month. Pat and Charlie

Wonderful experience!!

The apartment was the perfect home away from home. We were in town to visit family and did not want to stay five days in a hotel. The apartment was everything we hoped; convenient, quiet, private, very clean, very well appointed, very nice. It was so enjoyable to get up in the mornings, make our own coffee and breakfast, relax and enjoy the beautiful view from our windows. We will definitely be back and are passing info on to other family/friends who will visit the area. Thanks so much!!

This is my home. I hardly ever used the lower portion so I have had it professionally converted. It is a wonderful place to stay if you like quiet, a valley view and quick access to San Francisco.

Lots of natural light, tranquil views, large patio area for sitting out side, jump in the pool to cool off in the summer or sit in front of the outdoor gas fireplace.
