We look forward to hosting you!
NOTE: it’s not uncommon during winter months in the black hills to get a good amount of snow. If you’re booking during winter months, please plan to bring a 4 wheel drive. There’s also lots of nature surrounding the property, so although we have a great cleaner, just like any home, at times small bugs such as flies etc can sneak in. On the same note, you may see some cute little creatures outside the home, but they’re harmless; just keep the outside trash can closed :).
THERMOSTAT: guests are not permitted to change the thermostats, due to the system freezing up or malfunctioning when set to lower temps than it should be set to. We are one of the rare cabins up in this area that has a working A/C unit in the property. This area typically does not need to run the A/C because it gets cool enough in the evenings to hold comfortable temperatures throughout the day & night. Guests should not touch the thermostat settings. If the system gets set lower than 72°, the unit will freeze up & quit working altogether. We, as hosts, control the thermostat remotely.
Also, the in-floor heat thermostat is a separate thermostat and does not have cooling.
