I booked this a couple days before arriving and was thankful for the host allowing me to book last second. The room at the house was great and convenient to visiting Portland and the surrounding area. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone traveling solo!

Great room and very helpful host. The listing says 1 bedroom house so we expected a tiny home or something like that- it would be helpful if listing said “one bedroom in charming home” etc as we wouldn’t have booked a room in a home. We expected a home that was small but not feeling concern that you’re keeping the host up w your noise etc. That being said- everything was clean and good. Just not what we expected:)

The listing title is limited to 80 characters, so I have to be very intentional with the wording. I specifically include “No Kitchen” to make sure guests are aware of this important detail before booking and to help avoid any misunderstanding. The listing description also explains that the accommodation is a private bedroom with a dedicated bathroom within my home, rather than the entire house. The home itself is approximately 134 square feet, so it is a full size 1558 square feet home rather than a small or tiny house. Thank you again for your feedback. It has given me a helpful opportunity to make the listing even clearer for future guests.

Perfect for a long weekend

The property was as described, clean, and in a quiet neighborhood. Conveniently located to many local attractions. Check in and check out process was smooth. Overall enjoyed my stay very much.

Great stay overall! Approximately a 15 minute drive into the city in a quiet neighborhood. There were a few amenities in the room that were nice even if the kitchen wasn't available (a few plates/mugs, microwave, fridge). There was also complimentary snacks, candy, and water upon our arrival which was a nice touch. Do note that you will share the house with the host, but your room will have a separate lock.Great option for a cozy spot to rest after fun adventures in Portland!

We have our own vacation rentals so I know the challenges. I would suggest a single serve coffee maker. Easy to care for provides far better coffee and options for coffee flavors in the “pods”. Instant coffee is just not good… Great place. Loved the steamer! Thanks for the snacks!

TERRIBLE!! This stay was unacceptable and falsely advertised. We arrived at 10pm during a July 4th heatwave, after notifying the host 2 hours before the late arrival, and found the small upstairs room at 94 degrees while the rest of the house was 75. The AC was off, the door shut, and the unit blew warm air for 45 minutes without cooling. The listing was misleading—described as a 1bd/1bth, but actually just a bedroom in someone’s home, which we only learned from the entry instructions. We booked for two people, but our child’s power was out and she came with us; we even discussed notifying the host and paying extra, which their Ring doorbell would have recorded. I requested a refund the next morning, but the host ignored messages and later refused through VRBO, citing the extra person and claiming we should have contacted them at 10:45pm to fix the temperature, which logic dictates could not be fixed in any reasonable amount of time. The reasonable thing would have been to turn on air the day of our arrival to make it comfortable or refund our money because they failed to provide a comfortable space. This is literally the first bad review I have ever written. I always give people the chance to make something right and most people choose to do the right thing that was not the case here.

I wish you had reached out during your stay. We could have quickly resolved your concerns—including preparing for your third unannounced guest and checking the A/C, which worked perfectly for previous guests. I am sorry you chose to leave without allowing us the opportunity to assist you.

I was able to opened Vrbo quickly because of my wonderful boyfriend was helping me out with all the work like installing or lifting heavy objects.
