This Portland house boasts 1 inviting bedroom with 1 king bed on the second floor. A sleeping loft with 1 queen bed and with no door. To access the bedroom you walk through the loft area so limited privacy. While there is laundry available access to the basement is a very steep set of stairs with a very low ceiling. The 1st floor bath comes equipped with a hair dryer for your convenience. Step inside this adorable retreat and feel right at home. We liked the quiet and convenient location of this house in a residential Portland neighborhood. It was very clean, convenient to what we wanted to do, and it was nice to take walks around the neighborhood, and have a nice dinner at the restaurant across the street. The layout of the house was not as convenient as we expected with the two bedrooms upstairs and the bath on the first floor. Unfortunately the hot water system broke while we were there, but the owner was very responsive in getting someone in to work on it. We'd definitely consider staying there again if we find ourselves in Portland.

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 nights. The two bedrooms are adjacent (it's necessary to walk through one to reach the other), but Kathi made sure that we were aware of this before we booked it, and she was very helpful when I had difficulty connecting to the Spectrum app, guiding me though the process. The nice neighborhood is very convenient to shops, restaurants and doggie daycare. I recommend it!

This was a perfect spot for our trip. The proximity to downtown was ideal - just a short drive - and the house was in a quiet neighborhood. There is a park nearby with walking/running trails along the water, tennis courts, playground and even cornhole. The house was comfortable and met all our needs. Kathi was fast to respond and pleasant. Thank you for a great spot for our trip!

I reached out to ask Kathi a question before booking and she was very helpful and quick to respond. Lovely, cozy house in an adorable, quiet neighborhood just under 10 minutes to Old Port. Check in instructions were very clear and provided in ample time before arrival. Overall a lovely stay, would consider staying again next time we’re in the area.

Very clean and Kathi was quick to answer questions. Liked the location. The kitchen is very well stocked since the owners also spend time in the house. Things I didn't know from photos or description: one must pass through one bedroom to reach the other; bedrooms are upstairs, bathroom is downstairs; w/d are in cellar with steep steps and a low concrete wall not quite at the bottom - from there you have to bend over to walk around a corner to the machines. At that point someone not too tall can stand. I don't think there's a railing on cellar steps and def not one on stairs leading to bedrooms. Too much potential for injury for someone older.

We traveled to Portland to hang out with our son’s family and grandkids, Lovely family time! The house was as pictured, very comfy, safe neighborhood, nice neighbors, close to all! Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, small zoo, Mackworth Island, SeaDogs and Hearts of Pines Soccer!Downtown is fun with the steamed clams and lobster rolls! We will definitely be contacting Kathi again, as she was an outstanding host, quick communication!

Cute, cozy house

Cute house, well equipped, pet friendly and in a perfect location for us. The only downside is the lack of privacy between bedrooms and a lack of window coverings since it is close to the street and neighbors.

Overall comfortable and clean house for a short stay. Owner was very communicative and contacted us to warn of stairs. Didn't have all the amenities sometimes seen with short-term rentals but was not a huge drawback for us. Definitely located in a cute and quiet neighborhood.

Great location in Back Cove neighborhood, a nice residential area a short drive to Old Port and beaches.Bed is big and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with all necessities. Backyard is partially fenced but not completely.

Communicative & flexible host

We stayed here twice (before and after a stint in Acadia) and I did write another review but wanted to add that when our plans changed slightly, Kathi went out of her way to accommodate a last minute change, which she did not have to do. We really appreciated that!

The location was great, it was clean and well stocked. Kathi was communicative. Everything was smooth and easy! My only small complaints are the lack of window covering/privacy in the bedrooms, the beds are pretty hard and the bedrooms were more of a bedroom and a loft than 2 private bedrooms (which worked fine for us, but I can see it being a problem for others).

Quiet Spot

The host was easy to work with through our stay. Highlights are, it's a good overall spacious property, a nice backyard for our dog and good value for the price. Suggestions- bed sheets and pillow cases would have been nicer if they had been new. Not having any window coverings in the bathroom or the bedroom was odd.
