Annual family trip

In major need of repair. Ceiling leaks, animals in attic, carpet wet in one room, and other smaller repairs.

In much need of repairs and maintenance!

Size and location of the house is only positive. Kitchen cabinets broke, dishwasher and garbage disposal broke. Beautiful large porch with only 6 rocking chairs, 2 of which are broken. 3 bathrooms do not get hot water in shower. Ceiling in downstairs bedroom and living room leaking water! Most of blinds in all bedrooms are broken. Definitely not what we paid for.

Bear cabin review

Stayed in this cabin for a family getaway, and while we had an overall enjoyable time, there were a few notable issues that impacted our experience.On the positive side, the cabin was comfortable, providing a nice space for our family to relax. One of the highlights was a surprise visit from a bear on the deck, which was both thrilling and memorable! It was definitely an exciting moment to remember during our stay.However, there were some downsides. Unfortunately, we encountered issues with animals living within the cabin's walls. The sounds of scratching and movement during the night were unsettling, and it affected our sleepOverall, we had a great time as a family and made lasting memories, but we do hope the host addresses the concerns regarding the wildlife in the walls and improves communication for future guests. With these issues resolved, it could be a perfect retreat.

Do not rent this house. After reading all the bad reviews, we contacted the property manager and were assured all issues had been taken care of, so we didn't cancel our stay. The lighting in the house is horrible, the stairwells are so dimly lit that we could barely see this should be noted for anyone with issues in dark areas. The living room has a couch that turns into a bed but there were no extra blankets so we had to buy some. There are no extra towels. Only one per person, which made using the hot tub an issue because we had to wash our towels afterward to have a clean towel to shower with. The washer and dryer barely work. The kitchen cabinets are all falling off the hinges. These are all things that we could have lived with. But all of the bathrooms leak into the lower levels. There are three en suite bedrooms on the third level. One shower leaks into the room below it. One shower leaks into the living room below it, and one shower leaks into the kitchen below it. The master bath then leaks into the bedroom on the lowest floor and soaks one of the beds. Then there was the issue of no hot water. The two showers on the lowest level never had hot water. The remaining four bathrooms had hot water for one shower then any shower after that was freezing. So, in a house we had 18 people in, one person could shower every hour. We contacted management and heard nothing back. So disappointed as we spent a lot of money to stay here.

Family Vacation

Overall, the house was big and beautiful, and the trip was enjoyable. however, there were several issues during our stay that i will like to bring to your attention.1. Heating Issues: the top level first room on the right and lower level first room one the right were extremely cold due to the heaters not working in those two rooms. I contacted Bear Cabin on the first day of our arrival and submitted a ticket about the issue. Unfortunately, i never received a follow up call. i had to call again on Friday to confirm if the ticket had been received and to inquire about when someone would come to check the heater, was told to put heater on emergency heat. depite this, no one came to the cabin, and we ended up purchasing spare heaters for the family members staying in those rooms. Communication on this matter was lacking, as I only recieved a call acknowledging the ticket but no further updates or resolutions. Wifi Connectivity, we were unavle to connect to the Wifi throughout our stay, which was inconvenient. lastly, shower knob issue, the shower knob in the lower level shared bathroom on the right was not functioning properly, making it difficult to use.while we appreciate the overall experience and the beauty of the home, the lack of communication and unresolved issues with the heating,Wifi and bathroom amenities were disappointing. I hope these concerns can be addressed to ensure a better experience for future guests.thank you for your attention to this matter.
