Welcome to Bearly Awake, a Luxury Mountain Retreat, located on 2.5 private acres in Chalet Village in Gatlinburg, TN. From the moment you arrive, you will see some of the most beautiful views the area has to offer. You will not find a more peaceful place to enjoy time with family and friends.

This 4500 sq ft cabin has it all. The cabin includes 6 king bedrooms (two with gas fireplaces) and 7 full baths. It has two dens (one with gas fireplace), screened in porch, outdoor covered sitting area with grill and fire pit, 2 hot tubs, putting green, and childrens playground. The basement offers a poker room with fireplace, pool table room, movie room, and kids arcade complete with air hockey, foosball, and skee ball, This is a great place for a family gathering.

Parents’ 50th Anniversary

We loved everything about our stay. The property was perfect! My rough and tough 67year old father was moved to tear with how wonderful the house was that went rented to celebrate them.

Incredible home for groups!

We stayed for a week while attending a dance competition and the house was absolutely perfect! Location to the convention center was great, the home was perfectly laid out for all 4 families to have their own space and the common areas were cozy for everyone. I would highly recommend this home to anyone hosting a large group!

Fantastic Stay

Our family enjoyed our stay very much. We especially enjoyed morning coffee in the screened in porch overlooking the valley and the stars by night at the fire pit.

Its comfortable cute fun amazing views 8 minutes away from downtown host amazing but the bedsheets had hair the blankets also had hair the coffee maker had dust as well as other places overall good but just the cleaning should be better

Mountaintop Experience

This is a big, beautiful mountainside house. The bottom floor has great amenities and an extra refrigerator that was beneficial with 14 people. The gaming tables (pool, air hockey, Skee ball, card table. The hot tubs both worked and were very comfortable.The Entry floor has two separate living rooms. The kitchen is the best kitchen we have ever had in one of our vacation family rentals. Everything worked, plenty of pots, pans, strainers, cooking utensils. Really made life easy. The two decks one was screened one was not screened but they were very nice as well. All the outdoor furniture is very nice. The outdoor area where the firepit, dining table and 84" tv is beautiful. What a view when sitting out there. I highly suggest you contact a local company to drop a cord of wood off if you are staying for a week. We really enjoyed this area. The roads have a lot of sharp turns and are narrow. We had enough people who were comfortable driving in those conditions but just be prepared. We actually bought enough food so if we were snow bound, we wouldn't have to leave.The last thing is the Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, with the number of TVs and thermostats, not to mention 14 people and their devices it caused some viewing issues in the beautiful movie room on the bottom floor. Several times we tried to get that area working to no avail. I highly recommend this house.

Amazing home and views

Decided to choose this cabin for a family reunion and it was the best decision we ever made breathtaking views and a beautiful home made this trip well worth it and we will definitely come again

Family New Years

Property and home were breathtaking! Lots of fun things for everybody to do! There was never a dull moment in the house. We went to town 1 day because we loved the house so much would highly recommend for large families or multiple families. We loved that for once nobody had to fight over who gets the bigger bed. Thank you for a wonderful home to celebrate with my kids and grandkids for a week!

Family Reunion

Perfect layout for our family with 6 bedrooms with King beds plus 3 of those had bunkbeds, pull out sofas or twin beds for grandkids.We used the firepit every night making smores, playing games and catching up on the day.There were several different common areas to allow us to spread you without being on top of each other.The views down the valley were spectular overlooking the foliage that was still vivid colors.

Bearly Awake Cabin

The location of the cabin is perfect. Very centrally located to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The view was awesome, and the cabin felt like a private retreat without being far away from civilization. I’m not sure how old this cabin is, but it’s got many visible signs of wear from rambunctious guests and a little neglect on upkeep. 1) The cleanliness of the cabin was definitely not on par with what I assumed it would be considering the cost of our stay. Multiple dishes/utensils were dirty. There was a thick coat of dust on everything, the floors were visibly dirty, and the amount of ladybugs/stink bugs present was surprising. Obviously you’re surrounded by nature, you’re gonna have a few bugs. Going forward I would maybe have a thorough inspection before a guest’s stay to make sure the cleaning crew is doing their job and least notifying the owners of the bug problem. 2) There were batteries missing in almost every remote in the cabin. Not a big deal if you carry batteries with you just incase. But again, for the price I wasn’t expecting to be replacing batteries. 3) The central heat/air is a little complicated to work if you don’t want the whole cabin and every room to be the same temperature. We had grandparents with us that got very cold and younger family that got hot because we couldn’t get the temperature regulated. We eventually used the gas logs for heat when necessary and turned the A/C on everywhere else.

Celebrate 50th

This house provided the perfect gather place for our family of 11. Everyone had their own bedroom and private bathroom. The games downstairs provided great fun for our 3, 8 and 11-year-old grandchildren. I had never watched a movie in an entertainment room, but it was delightful to push back into a comfortable recliner. Lisa was very responsive to any questions that I had.

Be bear aware

The house was beautiful and the views were incredible! When they say bears, they mean it! Be bear aware for sure. The play set on the photos has been removed but the putt putt green is still available. The owners were very attentive when things arose, like a fallen tree on the drive way post a thunderstorm. They were quick to respond and remove the tree. Overall it was a great property and enjoyed our stay.

Bears and views!!

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. Our group of 10 adults and 9 kids had plenty of space. Lots of stairs so bring baby gates if you have littles! Five of the 6 king rooms have their on bathroom; the bedroom on the first floor uses a full bathroom off the kitchen (which everyone used as a powder room), or there’s another full bath in the basement. Great game room, but we couldn’t use the movie theater due to WiFi signal not being strong enough in the basement (fortunately plenty of other TVs for the kids to watch movies). Gorgeous views from the living room, back porch, and screened in porch. Easy access to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Great Smokey Mountains National Park. We saw SO many bears. One walked right by us while we were in the hot tub!

Bear Crazy

Lots and lots of stairs, good way to get steps in. Location was great. Pools were very nice. Lots of visits from bears. We were not comfortable eating outdoors for dinner as they seemed to show up at that time. We loved seeing them though. Remember to bring extra supplies if you are staying for longer than two days. Another wonderful visit. To the Smokies!

Family of 15 stay

We stayed for about a week. There was plenty of room for all of us. The view was beautiful in the morning and there were plenty inmates to sit and relax. The basement had pool, air hockey, foosball and more to keep us busy. We saw a bear every day on the property, one even looked in the laundry room window. We all had a great time.

Great Smoky Mountain Get-a-way

Loved the house and the view. No better view around! Really enjoyed seeing the wildlife. Had numerous bears' visit the property during our stay. The family enjoyed all the different activities the area had to offer.

Beautiful Cabin

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay. It definitely could accommodate many more guests but it fit all of our needs so well we didn’t want to look elsewhere. The fire pit area is great, kids loved the arcade, and the view from the living room is amazing. Only problem was that we wished we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful family vacation!

My entire family loved this beautiful and spacious cabin. The pictures don't do it justice. We used the cabin as a jumping off point to enjoy the Smokies and Gatlingburg. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
