Family get together

We enjoyed our time there. The location was perfect for us. We were attending an event at the Canes event center. It was a very short walk. The neighborhood was very quiet. Easy access to the freeway. The outdoor space was small, but great for coffee in the morning! The house is beautiful furnished, and it was comfortable.

Niece's wedding

This house is perfect in every way imaginable. I wish I had an extra day to really explore all of the decor. So much history in every inch of this restored home. The location is suburb. The host, Mrs. Peggy is so welcoming. Thank you for hosting us!

Absolutely fabulous!

The property was impressively decorated and in a very safe part of town. We enjoyed it so much, we will probably return to Baton Rouge for the sole purpose of staying at the White House on America street again!

A Weekend Getaway in Baton Rouge

Upon arrival in Baton Rouge, we settled into our weekend accommodations with great anticipation. As avid travelers who prefer to avoid hotels, we have experienced a wide array of unique lodging options. This particular residence stands out as one of the most impressive we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Sadly, the photographs simply do not capture its true essence and beauty.Our stay here has been nothing short of remarkable. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Place - Rough Beginning

The property is beautiful and remarkably decorated. It looks like something out of Architectural Digest. My wife is a design junkie, and walked through the house like it was an art exhibit, taking in each piece throughout. I'm a little stunned that they let random strangers from the internet stay in such a beautiful place. The pictures don't do it justice. It really is spectacular. Getting into the property was an abject disaster, however. The door code was not properly communicated, and then when it finally was, the alarm was set and there was no code for that, either. So we got to meet Baton Rouge's finest while the alarm blared. VRBO customer service was unhelpful and frustrating, and the property owner was out of pocket and unable to help. After about 90 minutes, we were able to get it figured out but by that time had missed an event we were supposed to attend. The property manager did make it right with us, and was very apologetic and couldn't have been nicer once we were able to connect. It was just one of those circumstances where all of the stars lined up to create a mess. Such is life. Regardless, I can't recommend the property enough. Despite all of the screwups, my wife is insistent that when we go back to Baton Rouge we stay there again.
