I was not impressed with the accommodations and felt mislead. They have a no refund policy and I understand why after the first email. It is not a cabin as advertised but a basement apartment. The floors needed swept and the toilet needed cleaned. The decor was very nice. We couldn't hang our clothes up because there was stuff in the closet. I think it is overpriced for what we received.

I wish you would have read the intire listing before you booked It does say that it is the Basememt Unit. There is a closet that is completly empy with hangers for you to hang up your clothing… Thank you for taking care of everything before you checked out

the cabin was well decorated and very pleasant. the area was very quiet and well off a main road. would definitely stay there again.

Place was clean, neat and serene. Being an older gent, having the 2 rocking chairs was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Also, they were stocked with most of anything that you might have forgotten to bring. And that was a nice little town we were close to. Recommend to anyone staying in the area. PS —- loved the antique TV set.

Nice place in the country

Communication was excellent. Location was great for what adventures we had planned. The basement apartment had everything we needed. The two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom was well equipped. Only thing that we did not enjoy was zero windows or way to see outside. Great place of you need a place to sleep, eat relax outside and quiet.

This was a weekend get away for me and my adult sons. I had spent a lot of time in WV (mostly caving) when I was in my 20's like them and love the area. We had a wonderful time and the Bear Valley Cabin was our home away from home. The house had everything we needed including a grill for our foil packs and steaks, a fire pit to sit around at night as well as the chairs with oil lamp to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds in the morning and evening. The beds and furniture were very clean and comfortable. I love to cook and I had everything I needed in the kitchen.

I was in the area for work, so I didn't get to see many of the sites (other than the worksite), but this really suited my needs. I don't care for the hustle and bustle of hotels and I am very tired of "eating out". Here, I had a kitchen and everything else a person needs without all the road noise and people. The owners were great, very friendly. I only got to see them once, but it was a good to meet them. I really enjoyed having the gas grill right outside of the door and was eventually able to make friends with the dog. I did miss having a window to see how late it was getting. Nighttime kept sneaking up on me. If you're traveling for business and appreciate the quiet, it's a very nice little set up. Next time I head up that way for work I will definitely see if they'll have me again. I enjoyed the stay and had all the amenities I needed to relax after a hard day on the mountain.

It was a lovely little place to get away from the hustle of everyday life. Just spent the one night on our way to SC, but it would be a nice place to spend some time.
