This unique retreat offers a living room, bedroom, 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds and 2 full baths. Includes outdoor seating with fire pit and gas grill. It’s a perfect scenic getaway with 360 degree views of Lake Murray! Enjoy amenities such as Wi-Fi, HVAC, refrigerator, 65 inch Smart TV. And "new" in 2025 two Lifetime Kayaks. The cottage has a private dock and neighborhood boat ramp. We hope you'll come and enjoy our place, and all that Lake Murray has to offer!

We absolutely loved it clean the views from sunrise to sunset were absolutely stunning ! The kayaks were nice the lake was perfect for an evening paddle , we would definitely recommend and come back ourselves …..

Overall a very nice place, great views, great location and excellent host. Wi-fi lagged or went in/out alot which is the only complaint but would definitely would stay again, possibly soon.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake Chapin Cottage! The lake views are absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, especially in the mornings with a cup of coffee and in the evenings watching the sunset. The cottage was cozy, comfortable, and made for the perfect relaxing getaway. If you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind and enjoy gorgeous scenery on the water, this is it. We would definitely stay here again!

What a beautiful and peaceful place! The view is absolutely gorgeous—it really feels like you’re on your own little private island. The cottage is beautiful, cozy, and fully equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. There was also plenty to do, but our favorite part was simply enjoying the peace and quiet.The host was wonderful, and check-in was easy and stress-free. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches and how well the cottage was stocked.There were just a couple of things that weren’t quite our preference. The stove and sink are upstairs while the refrigerator is downstairs, which was a little inconvenient. We also weren’t big fans of the metal spiral staircase. I think the cottage is better suited for adults or couples, as the stairs and limited extra space may be a little challenging for families with small children.My husband and I had a wonderful, much-needed getaway. It was the perfect place to slow down, relax, unwind, and enjoy some quiet time together.Overall, it was a beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing experience, and we would definitely book again!September 2026 — Melissa B.

Has the potential to be a very good destination. However it needs maintenance. Host were terrific and the overall landscape is awesome but… there were over 20 spider webs of various sizes throughout the house. Some old some new. Insects find their way in. Baby spiders literally started coming down from the ceiling mid night. The bed is outdated & uncomfortable. Wallpaper is peeling in numerous spots throughout & The windows are dirty with old caked up fifth that just hasn’t been cleaned. The house just lacks maintenance to the point I did enjoy the view but couldn’t enjoy the stay. I was booked for 3 nights & left midnight the first night. However with the correct upgrades & maintenance this could be a perfect getaway.

Perfect couples getaway for those who enjoy the lake. The gazebo is very much one of a kind with a one of a kind floor plan. The refrigerator is downstairs and kitchenette upstairs, which was odd. But my husband and I enjoyed it. We thought of it like a sleep over in a really cool clubhouse. The view and private dock was amazing. The hosts were very helpful and right there on the property, but we still had plenty of privacy. There is a neighborhood loading dock we used for our skis. The only down side for us was the overwhelming smell of moth balls. We realize this is necessary right by the lake, but it was still kinda rough until we got used to it. Other than that we can't wait to return here again. We skied, fished, swam, grilled, played corn hole, saw beautiful sunrises and susnsets, just had a blast right on the water. We would definitely recommend!

The views of Lake Murray were absolutely stunning and we appreciated being able to see the lake from all the angles on the property. Communicating with the host was easy and responses were in a timely manner. When we arrived, they provided a cart to help get our belonging from the car to the gazebo which came in handy!! We enjoyed the upstairs deck which is where we had our morning coffee while watching lake activities(fishing was definitely popular). The weather was fantastic during our stay and having the hammock to lounge in the afternoon was a bonus!! We grilled often and found everything we needed there!! If we had more time, we certainly would've used the kayaks to explore the lake. We did cool off in the lake since the water was enjoyable and warm for us residing up north. We appreciated that the hosts included many amenities especially with the design of the gazebo. We got a chance to explore the Palmetto Trail since it was a short drive from the property. Hoping to get back to this area again soon!!
