Nice, small 2 story house on the lake. No shade, though, and lake bottom is awful mud. Shallow too. Cove is nice, and house is comfortable and well stocked.

Very neat and clean. Quiet location, good access to water. Owners very gracious hosts. Enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning listening to the birds. Give it a 10 out of 10.

Stayed with my husband and sister and brother in law! We were here for a wedding in the area and the location was great! So peaceful and beautiful to look out at the lake!!! Recommend!

The onsite boat ramp is a huge plus. The dock was nice and in great shape. The teenager girls loved the kayaks. And we enjoys making s’mores on the fire pit. Having 2 bedrooms and a separate bathroom downstairs was nice for teenager isolation at night.

Great Lil' Getaway after Camp Willow Springs

This was a perfect little get away from VB for us after we picked our daughter from a week at Camp Willow Springs. Listing is accurate, very clean and alot of nice extras for a VRBO rental on Lake Gaston. We loved the blue float pad and the Kayaks. My son loved the sand box too. Thanks for the fun memories!

Repeat stay!

The house was even nicer than expected. It was filled with all the little things you need in a home that you forget to bring. There were so many things to use in the water such as kayaks, a lily pad, a nice dock with a ladder and a gorgeous fire pit.We already have been talking about our next vacation in this home!

We had so much fun! The house was amazing. The house is exactly as pictured. The outside was even better. I would just mention that the yard is a little steep. My husband walks with a cane and had a bit of a rough time. But we still had an absolute blast. Even the rain couldn’t stop our great time. Would definitely book here again!

Sun and Fun AND Relaxation

We were thrilled to find this VRBO for a spontaneous family getaway, and it exceeded all our expectations! It provided the perfect combination of togetherness and relaxation, with its spacious layout allowing for shared activities while still offering peaceful retreats for rest and solitude.The kids had an absolute blast exploring the beach near the water's edge and kayaking—endless smiles and laughter! Meanwhile, the adults enjoyed the expansive deck, where we barbequed, caught up on life, and kept an eye on the little ones as they played happily in the sand, on the lawn, and by the water (too chilly for a swim this time, but still so much fun).The kitchen was fully equipped and made cooking a breeze, and our evenings were pure magic. The grown-ups gathered around the firepit, sharing stories and savoring the moment, while the kids entertained themselves with the thoughtfully provided games.This trip was filled with cherished memories, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to stay at Sun's Out-Fun's Out. We can’t wait to return for a longer stay—and next time, we’ll be bringing our boat to make use of the convenient dock just steps away from the back door and hopefully catch a few fish like we saw others on the water catching! Highly recommend this slice of paradise.

What a wonderful experience, we will definitely rent again. Booking was easy and the responsiveness to all our questions was top notch. The house was lovely and well stocked with everything anyone could possibly need. The kids loved the sand area & being able to walk into the lake to play. We were amazed with the outside equipment (kayaks, life jackets of varying sizes, sand toys, noodles, etc) that was available for use. My 4 year old grandson cried the night we left because he wanted to go back and play on the sand & in the lake. The accommodations definitely made for a memorable trip.

Our second time staying here and we had even more fun this year than last year! The house was clean and the view on the water was amazing. I’m so glad we chose to come back a second time. This is an absolute must for families, especially if you have kids. The beach/boat ramp area was perfect for my 2 yr old.
