Golden on the lake was just the cabin we needed for a weekend away. It had enough space for our group, comfy beds and furniture. There were little details the hosts provided that just took things to the next level. Hot tub was clean and got nice and toasty. View from the back deck was spectacular.

My family and I had a great experience at the lake house. Everything was clean, well maintained, and beautiful! We loved sitting by the lake on the swing and having a campfire when the bugs weren't bad. Joe was very responsive and friendly. He answered all of my questions. We highly recommend staying here. The lake is beautiful and it's not far from Oscoda and Tawas City, which are pretty towns to visit and see Lake Huron. The house is beautiful and has great views, is close to the lake, and has a hot tub. You really can't beat it.

Rented this location for a girls weekend in mid March of 2026...the house is terrific. Spacious...super clean...and all the amenities! We truly were in want of nothing. We arrived to a 4 inch snow fall and left with one...the owner had the plow company there immediately. Nice clean hor tub...easy to use fireplace...gorgeous views of the lake. We will definitely be back!

We had the most relaxing stay here! The property was spotless, beautifully set up, and had such a calm, welcoming vibe. We have never stayed at such a well-stocked house, and the little touches like Q-tips in the bathrooms were so thoughtful! We loved sipping espresso in the mornings, taking the kayak out during the day, and winding down in the hot tub at night—it was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Joe was an incredible host—so kind, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful home. Lovely views. The kayaks and bonfire area were icing on the cake. Host was so help and responsive. Many extra special touches…. S’more goodies, coffee, some firewood to get us started. Highly recommend. A perfect getaway from start to finish.

Family getaway

Wonderful cabin on the lake, even caught a long mouth bass, sunsets are beyond dreamy. Fire pit area is a cool hangout spot off the water. Hot tub was a nice touch. This place was so cool, neighbors are nice and the hosts are responsive and kind. Loved everything about this trip. Will be coming back!! :)

Great communication from the start, very accommodating & friendly before we even made it up. House was easy to find, easy check in, not far from Hale, so we were able to run into town for the odds & ends we forgot. Gorgeous house with stunning views, all your basics were provided as well as all your kitchen essentials. Lots of stuff to keep the kids entertained! Comfy beds are always a plus, I feel like they definitely put thought into every aspect of their rental! Our dogs also enjoyed the trip, lounging on the deck or down by the water watching the kids splash around. Long lake is a beautiful area, definitely wish we would’ve stayed here sooner!

This place was awesome! Every aspect for comfort and convenience was covered from soft blankets and great mattresses to bug spray and s’mores. The swim area was sandy and weed free. Great seating area around the bonfire pit. Everyone enjoyed kayaking and paddle boating. Great fish were caught! Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the lake was a favorite spot to relax. A rainy morning was spent playing board games at the gorgeous wood dining table. Even the patio door had a screen curtain for the dogs to come and go out to the gated patio for a break from people and to enjoy the beautiful view. Our family made some great memories!

This was a beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped place with lots of amenities, and a wonderful view of the lake! Everything one could possibly ask for - both indoors and outdoors! When communicating, our host was very responsive and gracious!! I highly recommend this place - we plan to be back!!

This cottage on the lake was the most beautiful cottage we have ever stayed at. The knotty pine interior was beautiful. The view of the lake was stunning. I was able to bring my fishing boat and tie it up at the dock out front. I caught several walleyes around 24 inches. We will definitely be returning next year for our summer vacation.

We had the absolute best stay at this cabin, and while the entire property was gorgeous, the outdoor hot tub was the absolute star of the show!If you are looking for a relaxing, spa-like getaway in the woods, book this place immediately.
