We loved the unit. Very spacious and clean. A happy place to be. The options for our children to play and swim in the pool area were awesome. We had a grand time and left with many happy memories.

Enjoyable!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. We loved the mix of beach and pool time. Our condo was lovely and well appointed. We had everything that we needed for a lovely vacation. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place for families!

We stayed at the Honua Kai unit for spring break and loved it! Great spot for families. Maui Resort Rentals made the whole process so easy. Check-in and out were a breeze. And they were available and responsive for our questions. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to a friend.

Perfect place to stay!

This condo was so nice and provided a perfect place to stay - the balcony view was great and provided nice privacy compared to other balcony's we saw. The condo was well equipped and beautiful to stay in. Providing beach towels to use while we were there was a great touch! The resort had an amazing pool for kids that my son (14 months old) loved playing in. I would highly recommend this place!

We had a great time at the Honua Kai Resort in Maui. We have stayed at the property before and have enjoyed the establishments. beautiful beach, restaurant, pools, parking, unit well furnished though the couch is getting a little old and good amenities in the unit down to the utensils. Easy to work with the management company and accessible. Will be looking forward to our return at the Honua Kai.

Lovely property

We stayed a week in May 2019. Property is well appointed, even down to Tide Pods. Super comfortable for our 5 people. This unit has strictly a Mountain View, which I enjoyed but no view of the water. Construction near by but unit is not impacted by noise. Plenty of towels and free covered parking in underground garage. KBM is the property manager and readily available for anything that comes up. Would definitely stay again!

Nice unit and view

Unit was clean and had a nice view. WiFi and cable didn’t work and they weren’t able to fix it until right before we checked out. But other than that it was a great unit!!!

Great place, but NOT on the top floor.

Enjoyed our stay but I have only given it two stars as the unit is in a section of the building where there are 10 floors, not 8. Therefore it is not a top floor unit although advertised as such. It was clear to see rooms above ours looking out of our window. We heard chairs being moved above us and running/jumping. At least it was quiet at bed time.

Aloha we are so happy you had a fabulous stay! This unit is on the 8th of 10 floors with big views, and the floor number is clearly disclosed in all brochures along with the pictures. You may have confused this villa with another we manage on the top floor? We look forward to having you back next year!

the property was beautiful but condo had some issues.

Only one light worked on the lanai , 2 were burnt out. The cooktop was dirty. The washer did not work until maintenance was dispatched. There was no lock mechanism on the washer door. Also our entry bracelets were turned off at 7 AM on day of checkout although we had occupancy until 11 AM. We were locked out and had to go to security for them to be reactivated. .

Aloha, we are so happy you had a fabulous time! For your next visit - the switch to the lanai lighting is on the left and right side of the door - if both turned on all lighting will illuminate the lanai. The washing machine is fully automatic and locks automatically per the instructions in the arrival guide, just shut the door and press start! We'll see you again next year!

Great unit with wonderful morning sunshine to enjoy our morning coffee

This unit worked well for our family of 5. The added cooler, beach chairs, boogie boards and umbrella were an absolute bonus! The pools at this resort are awesome for families! Very well maintained resort! Great beach walkway to Whalers Village. The only downside was that it didn’t offer any type of cookie sheet or roasting pan (there was only one ceramic oblong dish) for oven cooking for our larger family; as well as no additional cooking spices/oil or plastic containers or ziplock bags for food storage. The clothes dryer didn’t work well either, it took 6 or 7 cycles to dry a small load, and towels we had to dry on the balcony or it took way too long. This unit is directly across the hall from the trash/recycle so there is a smell in the hallway as you enter the unit but not inside the unit. Overall though, it was a great unit for our family of 5! Thanks!

HONUA KAI 822

Our stay at the Honua Kai unit 822 through KBM Hawaii was great. The Honua Kai is located perfectly. The weather is great, there are stores, markets, and restaurants all very near. The drive to Lahaina is only about 5-10 minutes. The beach in front of the Honua Kai is nice. The actual unit itself is great. TV in each room. Washer and Dryer. 2 Bathrooms. Large lanai. Dishwasher, and full size kitchen appliances made it easy to cook. The unit does not have any storage containers or baggies. That is about the only downfall. The boogie boards, chairs, and umbrella were GREAT for the beach that came with the unit. This is our 2nd year in a row at the Honua Kai. We love it here and hope to continue staying at the Honua Kai through KBM Hawaii in the future. We took advantage of the free rental care option.We werent sure exactly how that would work, but it was flawless. Just as if we had called the rental company and booked the car ourselves.

This is a BEAUTIFUL RESORT with spectacular views

Kia Ora, We are a family of Ten from New Zealand who visited beautiful Maui on 1st Sept. to 8th Sept. 2016 (DEFINITELY NOT LONG ENOUGH). We stayed at the Honua Kai (in two Apartments), the Hokulani Tower, HKH 822 Mountain View and booked through KBM HAWAII. We also had a view of the new construction site but the noise was minimal and did not bother us. The second Apartment was in the Konea Tower, HKK225. This is a BEAUTIFUL RESORT, with spectacular ocean access and views, picturesque gardens, fabulous pools and excellent Resort amenities. While there, we also visited The Sheraton as we went to Black Rock, but i would prefer this Resort. Price comparison wise, Honua Kai through KBM is excellent value and even more so with their FREE vehicle inclusion. I researched the various different Rental Companies and i can assure you that KBM HAWAII Rentals offer an excellent deal. The Apartment we had exceeded our expectations and was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The master bedroom was HUGE, and the Apartment had every thing you needed and more i.e. dishwashing cubes, washing machine cubes, toiletries, tissues, hand towels, added extras like a cooler and boogie boards, beach towels etc... The A/C was brilliant and the fans made the temperature perfect and cool. Thank goodness because it was very hot. The bedding was very comfortable and we all slept well. The kitchen appliances and furnishings looked new and in perfect condition. There was more than enough cuttlery for use. The Concierge 'Jesse' and all the Bell Hop guys were so friendly and helpful and always willing to assist. We were very impressed with this Resort and everything it offered. The Aina Gourmet Market was lovely for last minute groceries but there is also a Times Supermarket across the road (5 min walk). 'Dukes' the Restaurant has amazing food and staff. We used West Maui Taxis and found them to be friendly and efficient. Black Rock is a must see. We spent the day on the beach and purchased two chairs and an umbrella from the rental sites and found this to be a necessity as it was very hot. Black Rock is good for swimming and snorkelling, we even saw turtles. WOW. Old Lahaina Luau is FANTASTIC and a must see. Whalers Village is 5 mins away by car, as is the Lahaina Cannery and Lahaina Front Street is ten minutes by car, all excellent shopping places. To KBM, we were very impressed with your services and would definitely book again and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family. Thank you so very much (Ronit, Maria & Kyle) for making our first time visit to Maui a memorable and absolutely FANTASTIC stay. My Family can't stop raving about our holiday. We love Maui and the People. What a beautiful Paradise Maui is. We can't wait to return to your shores. Mahalo.

Another great stay at Honua Kai

Great place to stay for family! This is our 2nd time stay here. The pools are wonderful, on the beach, and close to everything. Highly recommended.

Hawaii Maui Trip 2022

It was clean, well organized. Our family had a blast, and it was an overall great experience. My only complaint would be there were no coffee filters and when asking the front desk, they were unable to help because they are not in charge of these units. We had to make a stop at a 2nd grocery store after checking in which was a pain in the neck.

Fantastic

We have stayed at Honua Kai many times and it never disappoints. The units are spacious and comfortable. The buildings and lobby are gorgeous. The attached beach is very nice. The only complaint is that the facility pool is a bit overrun with people, but that didn’t keep the kids from loving every second

We can't wait to return to your shores!

We used West Maui Taxis and found them to be friendly and efficient. Black Rock is a must see. We spent the day on the beach and purchased two chairs and an umbrella from the rental sites and found this to be a necessity as it was very hot. Black Rock is good for swimming and snorkelling, we even saw turtles. WOW. Old Lahaina Luau is FANTASTIC and a must see. Whalers Village is 5 mins away by car, as is the Lahaina Cannery and Lahaina Front Street is ten minutes by car, all excellent shopping places. To KBM, we were very impressed with your services and would definitely book again and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family. Fantastic experience

5/5 Review. What a fantastic experience, accommodations and the people were more than pleasant. I did find the wifi by the pool was slower than I would expect from a 4 diamond resort.
