The Salt Life is an adorable beach house located on a culdesac, well appointed, beautiful seaside decor, comfortable, and walking distance (.25 mi) to Footbridge Beach. Feel relaxed and renewed during your time at our home! Take advantage of this special location that includes a wide open large plush green field for any yard game you can think of, or bring bikes for the kids as they ride the safe, private circle and enjoy the swing set. Wake up in this sunny cheerful spot and enjoy your coffee at the breakfast nook. The two bedrooms are off the living room, 1 with a Queen Bed, 1 with a Double, and there is a Bonus Room that acts as a 3rd Bedroom as it can be completely closed off with a door for privacy with a Twin Daybed and Trundle Bed below. Full central AC and heating for your utmost comfort. Brand new kitchen renovation includes a new dishwasher, and stunning granite countertops! Sit outdoors in the Adirondack chairs and enjoy a glass of wine and reflect on the day's adventures. The Salt Life will provide an oasis for a week by the ocean that everyone deserves to experience.

We loved our stay and truly enjoyed the community. Our host was very helpful and we even checked in early! Very spacious and kitchen has everything you need. We were new to ogunquit and did find getting around a bit hard with a 3 year old. The beach was longer than listed for walking distance and you do have to cross route 1 during the walk but if you’re open to that then it’s great! Thankfully there was plenty of paid parking at the beach lot so we opted to drive and park. Overall it was a lovely place to stay and we enjoyed our time very much, we would definitely come back.

This little cottage is perfect! Our stay with 6 family members felt comfy and happy with a well supplied kitchen and bathroom. The cottage is in a perfect location and well maintained. The owners are great communicators.

Location, location, location. This place has a wonderful location that really allows you to take advantage of some of the best parts of OG. The internet was the only downside of the property. We barely could connect to a webpage in some rooms. Otherwise, great property for 2 people possibly 4 total at the max. The host was amazing with dealing with us. They have great communication through our stay.

A perfect first stay in Ogunquit! The cottage had everything we needed, including no fabulous hosts. The location is within walking distance of Footbridge Beach and a few great restaurants, with a trolly stop right at the end of the street for easy access to the downtown beach, shops, and restaurants. We’ll definitely be back!

Summer 2025

Great stay at the comfortable and well equipped beach cottage. Everyone had enough room and slept well. It was so convenient to all of our daily activities! The owners are attentive and easy to communicate with. We will look forward to another stay in the future!

Great location and lovely cottage

We spent a couple days at this little cottage. Very clean, easy parking, central air, nicely decorated and very cozy. We found the location perfect as it was north of all the downtown congestion and we really enjoyed the short drive to Footbridge Beach and so many delicious restaurant options.

I have been going to Ogunquit for 21 years and Larry’s Lodge is a family kind of place to stay. I loved the Salt Life and how cozy and spacious it felt. Lisa and Jim made that cottage into something great. I highly recommend

Fantastic beach house!

This was our second stay at this property. It’s perfect for a family beach trip! Walking distance to Footbridge Beach - which is the best beach around in my opinion. Property was very clean. Excellent hosts. No need to look further - this home is perfect!

Beautiful place by the sea!

We had a wonderful vacation in Ogunquit. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. There were 5 adults + a 14 month old baby. We were able to walk to Footbridge Beach. The owner answered all my questions and provided us with a wonderful family vacation that we will always remember.

Everything within walking distance

Cottage is airy, nicely decorated. We appreciated the beach chairs. Easy walk to Footbridge Beach and to the town. The Trolley stops were right at the end of the street. Quiet community. Excellent food options. Beach was great. Marginal Way is a must walk.

Adorable Cottage

Loved this cottage in Ogunquit and had a great time. Close to Footbridge beach (which was so beautiful) and restaurants, but in a quiet neighborhood my son and I could walk around in safely. Cottage was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. The outside shower was a bonus after being at the beach as was the washer and dryer. Everything in the house worked great and was super easy checking in and out. We loved it.

Sweet cottage in a quiet neighborhood

Very clean, modern cottage on the north end of Ogunquit. We were scheduled to arrive about the same time as hurricane Lee. Lisa was very accommodating and accessible about working around the storm.

Fantastic stay at The Salt Life

My aunt, cousins and I had a fabulous stay at The Salt Life. The place was exactly as advertised - clean and comfortable with beach cottage vibes. The owners were lovely and super responsive - even when I locked us out of the house! Lisa couldn’t have been nicer or faster to reply and take care of it. Very grateful for such a lovely few days. Perfect first trip to Maine

Not having ever been to Ogunquit, this cottage is a perfect place to start. The house is situated perfectly to the beach, many restaurants and downtown. The air conditioning was cold, the water was hot and the house was very clean. I didn't know Ogunquit would be SO busy. We didn't use the trolley but it would be really useful for families with small kids that don't want to fight traffic for the beach or restaurants. There's a trolley stop right at the bottom of the road. Marginal Way was beautiful, The Lobster Pound was delish, Perkins Cove was cute for some Maine swag. Perfect first trip to Maine.
