Great Getaway for Cedar Point

This home was perfect for our two families! Plenty of space, a large kitchen, and beautiful views of Lake Erie from the porch. It was a short, easy drive to cedar point, and is close enough to grocery stores and restaurants to feed the group. We would certainly stay here again!

Great house, made for multi-family!

Wonderful house, exactly as listed. Set up well for multiple families and kids of different ages. Comfortable beds, big well-stocked kitchen and great outdoor space. Beautiful view of the lake and close to cedar point, Huron restaurants, etc. highly recommend!

Annual Walleye Trip

This is the second time I've stayed at this property and plan to use it every year, if you want to experience lake Erie.... it doesn't get any better than this!

Family vacation

Loved the house and property. Would definitely recommend. Great location. Suggestions: seawall railing, outside lighting for steps. The gas fire pit did not work. Should have patio table and chairs so you can eat outside.

Long weekend

This house was perfect for our trip. We loved that it was on the water. It's very private. The house itself is very comfortable with comfortable furniture and it was the perfect place to relax and spend time with family and friends.

Family Memories

This was a very relaxing vacation by the water. The house was beautiful and had a great view! We had many discussions by the water just listening to the waves and birds and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We will definitely be back soon!

Wonderful lake house!

This property does not disappoint! Jonathan was wonderful to work with! No matter where you are in this beautiful home you have views of the lake. We had a large gathering for Easter & everyone enjoyed! Highly recommend!

Lovely Winter Getaway

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake, even in the winter. You honestly can't beat the views. We enjoyed birdwatching from the porch a great deal. We saw five different duck species as well as a bunch of Bald Eagles! It was a real treat. There are also some great, very accessible hikes nearby that we enjoyed. I've already recommended it to my friends and family!

Lake Erie Getaway

Spectacular location and the view was simply breathtaking! The house was extremely comfortable with all the necessary accommodations(except a crockpot:)). The owner was very quick to respond to my questions and even quicker to refund money after I took care of a household issue. The sound system in the house was very much appreciated and was on from 07:00 till 23:00 each night of our stay. Loved the portable fire ring and what a great way to sit by the lake with a fire to sit around. Friends are ready to return for another stay in the future!

This house is a can’t miss!! It is beautifully done with attention to detail around every corner.

This home located directly on the lake is absolutely amazing. It’s wonderfully done and provides all the amenities. Whether you want to sit on the beautiful wrap around porch and just relax enjoying the beautiful view or get your fishing pole and just fish feet from your door, it’s possible! The kitchen is top notch and the bathrooms are stunning. My family and I will be returning!

Beautiful Home

Spent a long weekend with family playing games and making memories. This home is beautiful and is in a perfect location. The well equipped kitchen was perfect for us since we didn’t want to go out for meals. The large patio was perfect for outdoor games. The homeowner was very quick to respond to messages and very kind. I would highly recommend this home!

Memorable Family Vacation

The property is at the end of a dead end street so there was virtually no traffic. The view is fantastic. The kitchen has been modernized and was the envy of all the ladies in our group. The parking area was paved and was very roomy for 5 vehicles plus a 20' boat. I would highly recommend staying at this house for your next Lake Erie vacation.

Perfect for girls getaway

The property was very clean, we had plenty of towels, just wish we had better access to the water. The view is spectacular. Well decorated and nice furniture! Jonathon our host was very easy to get a hold of and answered all her questions in a timely manner. Downtown Huron had a lot more to offer than we anticipated. Nice eating establishments on the water! My friends and I had a lovely time and staying at this house made it more enjoyable!

Great Property & Great Stay

This property, literally just feet away from beautiful Lake Erie, is a true gem. It has all of the components for a relaxing and fun stay. Direct water access. A unique and spacious interior design with a huge kitchen that can easily handle 8-10 people at once. The wrap around four seasons porch is a wonderful bonus and perfect for hot summer days or call fall nights. Owners were friendly and communicative and provided more than expected essentials needed for a stay. You don't want to miss this lovely lake house!

Gorgeous lakefront rental

Beautiful property right on the water. We loved the kayak and outdoor seating. (Seawall not safe for unsupervised kids.) Kayaked to the little beach two properties down. Really nicely stocked kitchen. Bathrooms were lovely with huge showers. A few dead bugs and cobwebs upstairs but to be expected in a lake property. Wrap around porch was a highlight. House was perfect for 10 people, huge kitchen to celebrate a 70th birthday.

Annual Girls Weekend

Don’t even know where to begin! Beautiful spacious home, clean and gave great beach vibes. Had everything we needed and then some! Great location with full views of the lake from just about every room. Plenty to do and see in the area. Although it rained the 2nd day, we really enjoyed watching the waves roll in which made for a great day/night of home cooked meals, games, movies and quality time spent with great friends. Jonathon was the perfect host, very responsive and accommodating- no complaints at all! Looking forward to booking again each year with both family and friends. Thanks for the experience!

Absolutely fabulous!

Property was magnificent. Everything as posted. Except, it really only sleeps 10 unless you want to use an air mattress. You can't really sit everyone at one table, but we made it work. We spent a lot of time outside around the fire. Since we were a party of 12, we played most of our group games outside. No space inside for all of us to be together. Again...these issues were far outweighed by the sunrises, the water views and just the general outdoor space. Kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of towels and extra blankets provided. Would absolutely rent again. Beautiful.

Great house and view!

Our family (7 including kids) stayed for a week, it was a beautiful house and view of the lake! I think we spend about 85% of our time just hanging out on the porch! Be aware that if you go in the off season, not much is open, but that was totally fine by us! Our only complaints were: 1. The first couple of days there seemed to be a ton of spiders on the outside of the house, and most of the porch windows didn't have screens so we couldn't open up for fresh air. 2. There wasn't an available recycling bin, therefore we had much more trash then we normally would.

Perfect lakeside retreat for a family gathering

We stayed here over a long weekend while celebrating our daughter's graduation from Oberlin. While the house is about 40 minutes from campus it offered us a unique beautiful space in which to hang out with our extended family. There were 10 of us staying here and the house fit us all very comfortably and is impeccably equipped for organizing family meals and spending time together. The views of the lake from the 3 sided enclosed porch are stunning! We had my daughter and a few of her friends over after graduation and the porch was a perfect set up for serving up some snacks and letting them hang out by the water for some lakeside fun and pictures! Our teens ( and college grads) spent a lot of time playing a game of running away from the waves crashing against the retaining wall - lots of laughter and wetness! The memories we made here will be in our harts forever! As one of my daughter's friends put it "this has to be among top 3 prettiest spots I've seen in Ohio". I would definitely recommend renting g this place ( unless you have young kids, in which case it's simply dangerous ).

Neglected and Filthy

We traveled to Sandusky to fish and golf with friends and have used VRBO many times over the years. We were so looking forward to this place based on its location and views of the water. Unfortunately upon our arrival, this home appeared to have been neglected for many months with piles of dead bugs in every window sill and every window facing the water covered in spider webs (counted over 50 spiders crawling on them one night). Not only did this give us the "creepy crawlies" but then we found stains on furniture, used soap bars in the showers, long black hairs in the bathroom floors and showers, splatters on faucets and mirrors and a kitchen floor that our shoes stuck to when we walked on it. Stains on comforters and maggots in the garbage can were the final straw. The location is lovely but we really couldn't enjoy ourselves and feel comfortable because quite frankly we were grossed out and really didn't want to touch anything. As a side note, after notifying the owner of the state of the home he did offer a $400 credit, but in all honesty, no one should have to pay to stay in this situation. The reviews were very deceiving based on our experience.
