'Rocky Top' Log Comfort

This is a cute-as-a-bug one bedroom log cabin. The bedroom is in the roomy loft area, with king sized bed, overlooking the ample living area below. View from the bed out the huge window above the front door gives you amazing views. Living area includes full kitchen, dining area, cozy propane fireplace , and cable TV. Decks on front and back of cabin. Private setting, with no other cabins or homes too close. Located on a side road, it is within walking distance from town, but far enough away to feel 'away from it all'.

Wonderful home for the holidays!

This was a really nice home to spend thanksgiving at. The kitchen was big and the cabin was very spacious and welcoming, the deer came by every morning to say hello. We would stay here again!

Rocky Top

We enjoyed our stay at Rocky Top and Lake City, very much. It is a roomy and comfortable cabin, just outside of the city, but with very easy access to the city. Also very easy access to hiking trails. It is a very quiet and comfortable place to stay.

Wonderful stay in Lake City

My husband and I stayed in the cabin for six nights with our two pups. The cabin is very comfortable and had all the amenities you would expect. The property has plenty of parking for multiple cars and a trailer. Aimee stayed in contact with us through the check in to check out. I would highly recommend this property and we plan to return! As always, Lake City never disappoints.

Home away from home

We loved this cabin for our recent off-season stay in Lake City. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. We had privacy, but knew that the hosts were right next door if we needed something. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking all meals at home (which is a plus, as many restaurants are closed off-season). The cabin was clean and comfortable. There was loads of closet and drawer space to unpack, and a gigantic empty medicine cabinet to unload all our bathroom stuff. The space is tastefully decorated, with plenty of space on flat surfaces. We liked the "no clutter" feeling. We have traveled to Lake City many years now, and stayed in many rentals. This is the best one so far. We will be back for sure.

Great Cabin!

This is a great cabin in Lake City! The pictures and information accurately describe the cabin. We have stayed here twice during the Fall season over the last couple of years, and we will definitely return. The cabin is super clean thanks to the owners who truly care for their cabins and for their guests. It is very adequately stocked with nice kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, bath items, etc. so just bring your jacket, clothes and any food/condiments/etc. that you might want. There is a little grocery store just down the road if you need to buy anything for cooking. There is a nice picnic table and charcoal grill on one side of the cabin. We cooked or grilled every night of our stay. The bed in the loft is very comfortable which is something we always appreciate when we are away from home. The bathroom is very nice and clean. This cabin is cozy and comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting in front of a nice fire in the fireplace each morning. We sat out on the front deck each evening after fishing, and one evening we were visited by a deer just a few feet away as she walked through the area eating grass! We had a great time! We love the Lake City area, and this cabin is a great place to stay!

Our stay in may

The property was very beautiful. It was a nice quiet area. The distance to lake City as well as San Cristobal lake were very convenient. The fireplace and extra blankets were really nice since it is still cold at night this time of year. We met the owner and her daughter and they were very friendly and helpful.

Great cabin!

This cabin was lovely! We enjoyed our stay and had a picture perfect Christmas. We opened our gifts Infront of the fireplace and had a cozy wonderful time. The wifi was a bit spotty because of the snowfall, but that was perfectly fine because we the cabin had a few puzzles and we had brought games. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our Christmas.

beautiful Lake City

Cabin is close to beautiful hikes. We did Thompson Lake which starts just up the road from this cabin. We also visited Lake St. Cristobal and walked the river path.

Rocky Top Log Cabin

This was a great cabin located in Lake City. It was clean and spacious for 4 people. The newly renovated kitchen was really nice and the bed was comfortable.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay in Lake City. The cabin was very nice and it was nice to meet Aimee. We had some issues with the WiFi and Aimee took care of the issue quickly. We would highly recommend staying here if you are in Lake City.

Perfect getaway

The house was just what we needed for a vacation/birthday/anniversary stay near where our teens worked for the summer. It was Clean, quiet, peaceful, safe, and stocked with the basics we needed. The owners were super responsive and helpful. We were grateful to be able to bring our beagle. She loved it too.

Nice Place in Lake City

We enjoyed our time in Lake City and the cabin was as advertised. It's in a convenient location and we saw several deer while sitting outside. It is a nice place with a good host. We would stay here again.

Amazing cabin for family of 4 w/ 5yr olds

We were absolutely stunned with how perfect our cabin was. The place was updated and clean with a full kitchen and a comfy king bed upstairs. Downstairs had a fold out couch our 5yr old twins loved. There were two comfortable rocking chairs facing the TV w/ satellite. To top everything off the cabin had WiFi allowing me to do some quick emails before we got back to the fun! We will DEFINITELY be back!!

Lake City Cabin

This is my first time ever staying in a VRBO property and I don’t know why I waited so long…our stay in Lake City was perfect! Aimee was a wonderful host and we had everything we needed for our 3-night stay. The cabin is close to Lake City, but still feels secluded and private. I look forward to coming back in the future!

We have recently moved to Lake City, CO to run Rocky Top Vacation Home Rentals. It is a beautiful area and we are loving raising our family in the small town environment. We have lived in Gunnison, CO for 10 years and met at Western State College.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

This cabin is unique in that it is in a lovely setting, perfectly fitting the image of what a mountain log cabin should look like. It is also very comfortably furnished and immaculately clean. It is very roomy, too, unlike so many little 'camper' type log cabins. The wood burning fireplace also adds to the atmosphere, and has become a rarity these days.

We also offer paddle board rentals for guests to use on Lake San Cristobal.
