Rustic Cliff-top Cabin at the Tip of Lake Champlain's Barney Point

Available seasonally (mid-April to late October) with 400 feet of cliff-top frontage at the tip of Lake Champlain's Barney Point. This property is the perfect get-a-way destination for family and friend gatherings or business retreats. Enjoy the stunning 270° view overlooking Vermont's world-famous Green Mountains and New York State's magnificent Adirondack Mountain Range.

Spread out and relax as you enjoy modern amenities in a century-old cabin that sleeps up to 14, plus 6 more in the optionally available bunkhouse. Pillows, bedding, toiletries and a starter supply of paper products provided. Tons of rustic charm. Wood-burning fireplace insert (firewood provided). Outdoor fire-pit (firewood provided). Spacious 2-tier deck with lake view and BBQ. Large screened, eat-in porch seats 18+ for meals, games and conversation. Fully equipped kitchen. Great room with plenty of seating and 20’ ceilings! Plenty of on-site, off-street parking, too.

Traveling with a large group? Ask about the optionally available, on-site Bunkhouse with sleeping accommodation for up to six more for an additional fee of $226/night which includes Vermont's 13% lodging tax.

The shores of Lake Champlain are bustling in the summer which means we have neighbors close by. We enforce quiet hours between 10pm and 9am. NO PARTIES!

Experience Vermont's world-famous foliage in the Fall. Many shopping, recreational, entertainment, cultural and culinary opportunities available anytime just minutes away in the greater Burlington area, Vermont's largest population center.

Enjoy Lake Champlain cruises out of Burlington Harbor’s scenic Waterfront Park. A world-famous "rails to trails” conversion (the Island Line Bike Trail) is just up the road from the driveway to Barney Point. This bike path connects mainland Vermont to the Lake Champlain Islands with the broad expanse of Lake Champlain on one side and outer Malletts Bay (the lake's largest) on the other.

The views from this property are exceptional. The sound of the water and the breeze are lovely. This is a rustic building with pretty much everything you might need for your vacation. We especially enjoyed the large screened porch. We were really happy the bike path was so close. The host was very helpful and quick to respond when we had any questions.

The Burlington Bike Path and Island Line Rail Trail are world class with access points within a half mile ofvour driveway. We sre so lucky. Glad to know you were able to experience that!

What a gorgeous view! The property was quiet and accommodated our large family beautifully. Playing cards on the porch, enjoying the morning sun, swinging in the back yard, and minutes from several attractions made this property exceptional. Thank you!

We've owned Barney Point for nearly 80 years and enjoy sharing it with folks like you! And after all threse years, we never get tired of the panoramic views of New York's magnificent Adironack Mountain Range across the lake, Vermont's Green Mountains on our side of the lake ...and those sunsets! Long Weekend Golf Trip

Had a great long weekend with friends celebrating one of the guests. Gold and breweries were fantastic. Really enjoyed our time and the cottage and bunk house was exactly what we needed.

Incredible property!

We came up here for a reunion and this property did not disappoint. The home was beautiful and steps away from the lake. The host team was the best I have ever worked with. Couldn't recommend this place enough. We hope to be back someday.

Our stay at Barney Point was everything we imagined and more. The roomy cabin had space for our large group both inside and out. Meals in the sun room and nights out by the firepit were the highlights. Plenty of natural light, with wind that kept the temperature comfortable day & night. Communication with ownership was top-notch and the check in/out process a breeze. I would highly recommend a stay on Lake Champlain here.

Beautiful property in a beautiful area

Really loved the house and property. It was the perfect distance from the city to have the seclusion and peace we traveled for, while also being close to everything we needed or wanted for entertainment. The sunsets were incredible, and we very much look forward to coming back if able!

Had a wonderful stay at this cabin with family. The place has a cool vibe–rustic, cozy and comfortable. Everything you need is there. And the best part of this property is the location and spectacular views of the lake, mountains and sunsets. Easy access into Burlington with lots to see and do is pretty great too, as well as great hiking and biking nearby. Just some of our trip highlights: walking and biking the causeway and bike ferry to South Hero Island; Ethan Allen tower and the historic home; Shelburn Farm and Inn; Burlington arts district; toll road up Mt. Mansfield at Stowe; Sailing our boat from the beach just below the house.

Spectacular views, rustic charm, this house is the perfect family vacation destination

Wow, we rented this for our son’s graduation weekend, with grandparents, uncles, more family and friends joining us this house and Tim’s incredible hospitality made it a weekend that we’ll cherish forever. If you are looking for a place with lake views that can’t be beat, and a relaxing few days don’t miss this place

Great stay!

I stayed with a group of friends attending a wedding. We had an awesome time and the house was so much fun. Hopefully we'll have a wedding next year and have another excuse to stay again!

Wonderful rustic camp

We picked this property because of its rustic nature as well as ability to host a large number of people. The views are absolutely amazing. We couldn’t get enough, hated to leave. We look forward to booking again in the future.

Great get Away

Came up for my brother's bachelor party. Being just outside burlington is fantastic. Close enough to get to do what we wanted, but secluded enough that we didn't feel pressured. The cabin inself was super cozy. it mostly comfortably slept 10 dudes. The views are insanely beautiful and the firepit was perfect. I'd absolutely stay here again with a big group

Classic Lakeside Camp

Our family had a wonderful time at this classic lakeside camp! We found it very clean, spacious, comfortable, well equipped, and charmingly rustic. Absolutely breathtaking views and very well situated with a short walk to the rail trail. Loved it!

Fabulous house and setting

We loved our family reunion at this comfortable house on Lake Champlain. The property manager was extremely helpful and quick to respond to our questions. The kitchen was the best equipped of anywhere we’ve stayed in the past. We hope to return!

We still call it "camp", as many seasonal properties are commonly referred to here in Vermont ...and we still use the property every year. We especially enjoy being able to share this glorious spot on the eastern shore of Lake Champlain (a.k.a., "the West Coast of New England") with others ...like you! We hope you and your family & friends enjoy it as much as we have all these years.
