Located in the Laurel Ridge area, Paradise View is within walking distance of the Chapel, tennis facility, fitness center, swimming lake, beach, and natural water slide. Managed by Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia, this cottage provides a peaceful getaway to Big Canoe.

Living Space
The main floor features a queen master bedroom with a private bath, a great room with a fireplace that opens to the eating area, and a fully furnished kitchen. Two decks and a large screened porch offer fabulous views of the mountains and Lake Disharoon.

Beds & Bathrooms
The cottage has four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Downstairs, there are two bedrooms (one with two twin beds and one with a queen bed) sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom, and a large playroom. Upstairs, a bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom is accompanied by a loft area office equipped with Wi-Fi. Relax on the lower deck’s huge swing with a view of the lake.

Perfect in Every Way

We really enjoyed our stay in this house. It's well-appointed, feels very homey, has a great view, in a great location. The house was spotless and shockingly large for the price. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Nice House for Our Big Canoe Family Reunion

My family really enjoyed staying at this home during our family reunion in Big Canoe! The home was in a great location and it had everything that we needed for the weekend. The house was exactly as described and it's close to all the great amenities at Big Canoe. We would definitely stay at this home again.

Great for Large Group!

We have been coming to Big Canoe for the last 5 years and this was our favorite place we have stayed. It is a clean and spacious home in a great location. David and his team provided top notch service and communication from the booking to our check out. We made good memories playing games and talking on the porches!

Lovely property

Nice furnishings, very comfortable bed, and lots of cookware. Ample room for a large group with spaces for separation. The only criticism was that, other than the screened in porch that overlooked an air conditioner that ran constantly, there was no place for a group larger than 5 to gather. Other than that, lovely property and we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent layout for families

There were five of us and each group (my husband and me, my sister and niece, my 91 yr old mother) essentially had a bedroom suite on each floor. We took our two 8 mo old puppies and had lots of room in the loft for their pen with crate inside for them to sleep, and another pen downstairs in the living room. We felt at home, especially enjoying the gas log fireplace on the cold nights. All beds were comfortable. We highly recommend this home. The homes are all close together and parking is tight but worked well for our car and minivan. 👍

Paradise View

For my family and friends who were in Big Canoe to attend a wedding, Paradise View was an excellent location. We were close to the chapel, club house, restaurant and other places of interest. A shopping center, including an IGA grocery store, gas station and other shops was just a few minutes away. Paradise View itself was perfect for our needs. I have no negative comments about the property. I would not hesitate to use the property again, or recommend it to my friends.

Great house not best check in process

I was shocked that they (the management team) made it mandatory that I pay a sizable deposit for property damage that may or may not be refundable when I had already paid for property damage insurance through the rental company when I rented. The house was nice and everything we expected. I just wasn’t expecting that charge which I found out about the day we left, which was refunded after we returned home.

Great experience renting from Mountain Home Rentals of GA

I rented four houses in Big Canoe from Mountain Home Rentals of GA in October of 2011 and cannot speak highly enough of the experience. We were there for our wedding, which as you may know can be an incredibly stressful time. Their willingness to work with us to find the accommodations we needed, their prompt replies to questions, and excellent follow-through on everything we discussed made the process of making these arrangements as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. The houses were exceptional, spacious and clean and very nicely furnished and the rates were very competitive. We received many compliments from our guests about how nice the houses were and how much they enjoyed themselves. I would not hesitate to rent from them again and would recommend their services to any of my friends. We also rented a few houses from another agent, and let’s just say the experience was not as good, to put it mildly. If you need a house in Big Canoe go through Mountain Home Rentals of GA, you will be glad you did!!

Beautiful Paradise View

My sister and I, our grandchildren, daughters and my daughter-in-law recently spent two nights at Paradise View. The children ranged in age from 3 to 12 and it is a perfect house for any age. You could walk to the pool/lake/waterslide area and or a short drive to take the little ones, coolers, etc. I have stayed in many rental properties and this one was really wonderful - well equipped kitchen and other amenities and the way the rooms are laid out, there was always a place to get away from the crowd for quiet. We adults loved the screened porch and the kids loved the downstairs room so everyone was happy! With a blow up queen size mattress in the office upstairs, we really had five bedrooms so it was ideal for us. The only suggestion I would make is a detailed explanation of how to get to the back entrance to get rid of the garbage. It is hard to follow the map that Big Canoe gives you and I was fortunate to have a friend at Big Canoe who talked me through the drive. I would highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone!!

Memorial Day Weekend

The property was nice. The only negative thing was the lack of furniture. Not inside but outside on deck and patios. The only furniture downstairs on the covered porch is the swing so my brothers didn't have anywhere to sit to hang out with us. Same thing for upstairs patio. Only had enough seats for 3 people and 2 chairs on the deck. Great views, spacious and private. We had 3 couples 2 babies and our mother with us. The kitchen was stocked to the t! Everything you need for cooking and grilling. Trails are easily accessible for family walks! We would stay again but I would suggest upping the cleaning crew. We spent the first few hours there cleaning the porches. Sweeping, wiping down chairs and tables, removing spider webs and what felt like 10 inches of pollen. Also bring extra towels!! But we do recommend this property. A little cleaning never killed us before so it didn't kill us this time.

We will not choose to rent this house again.

We have rented at least a dozen different homes in Big Canoe over the last 15 years. We love Big Canoe and we have had great experiences with Mountain Home Rentals, but we would not choose to stay in this home again. My mother rented this house and the one next door to accommodate our large family group so we chose it for that convenience. The beds were very uncomfortable and had scratchy linens that were faded and tired. The only person who slept well was my one year old in her pack and play that we brought form home. Most of the homes we stay in at Big Canoe feel like homes, this one definitely felt like a rental. There was plenty of room and the furnishings on the main floor were nice, but the rest looked like cast offs that were thrown together to fill the space. There are too many lovely homes in Big Canoe and even in Laurel Ridge that we can rent for the same amount or less to stay here again. Also, note that the description of the spaces is not accurate. There are two bedrooms and one bath on the terrace level and one bed and bath on the top floor along with a loft/office
