A fine place with some problems

So found this place somewhat last min, maybe booked it a week in advance and went with this one due to the remaining options for Halloween weekend. So firstly, the property and the area were in a slightly rougher part of town but nothing I’m not used to. Other than worries from my party members, I found it easy to find a parking spot, didn’t feel unsafe, and was nearby the city enough to just drive in whenever. The listing is on the first floor but there’s two different sets of locks. So if that worries you, just keep that in mind. Now the listing it self and inside were somewhat accurate to the photos but for a property in a building that’s only been there a year, there’s somewhat excessive marks and chips on the walls throughout the entire property. Worst of all, was burn marks on the table and floor with some Ash next to it. Meaning that somehow the cleaning staff didn’t address this. I know it could be hard to but the ash still being there was rough and didn’t set good impressions on my party members that arrived before I did. The rooms seemed fine for the most part, sheets being clean. At least the ones on the bed. The spare ones in the closet in my bedroom seemed dirty. And any towels seemed to be in the washer machine still dirty so I could shower or wash hands and dry… It’s a shame since I had pretty alright communication with the host. The size of the space seems good. And again didn’t mind area even though it can be seen as easily sketchy.
