We also installed a projector, so you can comfortably watch your favorite movies or listen to cool music while you soak in the hot tub. We had a great time. The home was very clean and had all the amenities mentioned. It was easy to get to and close to town. The view was amazing and we will definitely be back.

overall amazing stay! struggled finding it when first arriving. our puppy loved it too, great background to run around while we enjoyed the hot tub.

The house was perfect! It was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor area with the hot tub and projector. It’s also only 10 minutes from downtown so we were able to hop back and forth as much as we wanted. I would definitely stay here again! ***Be sure to read their arrival directions***

This was our 2nd stay at King of the Hill. The location is great! Easy 10 minute drive to downtown Brevard restaurants, breweries and shopping, and Headwaters Outfitters for canoeing down the French Broad River. The hot tub and outdoor movie screen are perfect for relaxing after a day of outdoor activities including hiking at nearby Pisgah National Forest. The host provided everything we needed from coffee to towels. The cottage is 1 of 5 available at Holiday Hill. Serene countryside with beautiful views of the mountains and pastures in the valley.

Unfortunately this property was misrepresented in their listing. Warn furniture, bugs on the walls, smelled horrible. Clearly both the outside and inside have not been maintained properly. The smell was so bad we decided to find other accommodations. Sadly, they only refunded us a little over half of the total. Ironically, they even charged us a cleaning fee! We were there for 15 minutes. The maintenance guy who met us there was very nice, apologized and said he understood why we couldn’t stay there. It clearly had sat too long empty were his words. Very disappointing.

Perfect location to Brevard, Cashiers, restaurants and waterfalls. Beautiful property with views. The house had everything you need and a plus was the very private fenced backyard. Perfect for my pup!

This place is perfect for a relaxing getaway! The house is the perfect size for two adults (plus a dog) and the porch and backyard areas are very comfortably furnished and inviting. There are so many nice little touches and fun extras that I don’t usually see when renting a home. The kitchen and bath have all of the basics that you need and the entire home is very comfortable, cozy, and clean. The host has done a fabulous job of making this vacation spot delightful!

House was very clean, which is important! View was nice. However we were very disappointed to find that the fireplace in the backyard did not work. When we booked we wanted two things- hot tub and fire to sit by. So this was a huge bummer. Especially when we paid over 250 for the night.

Wonderful Private Cottage

The cottage was exactly as described by the host - relaxing, private, less than 6 miles to dining and shopping in Brevard. Lots of waterfalls and hiking trails nearby. We really enjoyed the outdoor amenities at the cottage - hot tub, movie screen, and mountain views from the deck. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and there was a gas grill. The host thought of everything we needed to make us feel at home - plenty of towels, bath robes!, throws on the sofa, coffee pods and tea bags, TP and paper towels. The incline of the parking area was challenging.

Driveway was horrible to get in and out. Home had no issues with, maintenance was terrible. Hot tub low on water, grass needed cut, home 100 yards from major highway and you could hear traffic inside house. Total of 4 homes clustered close together. Shared common area.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The hot tub was very private, clean and easy to understand how to operate. The robes were a nice touch for getting in and out of the hot tub. The place was clean and there were even some snacks from the host as well as spices and other condiments and such in the fridge. The fridge also had an ice/water dispenser, which was really nice for refilling water bottles instead of having to bring water with us. I would consider staying here again. It's a bit far from Asheville, but we were there for waterfalls and hiking and there is a ton of outdoors stuff to do in that area.The only issues we had were 1) the water could be hotter in the shower. It was just warm, maybe even below 120 degrees and it just would have been nice to be a little hotter. 2) While it didn't pose a problem, this listing did not mention there were 4 other rental properties on the hill and the fire pit is a shared amenity. 3) There is a chicken coop right next to this rental and the rooster, while not the loudest I have ever heard, was somewhat annoying in the early morning hours. I am kind of a light sleeper & the rooster woke me several times at 1 and 2 am and then again at 4 & 5 am. That would be my only hesitation for staying there again. 4) The mattress is super soft & I felt like I kept rolling into a hole in the center.Overall, we were really happy with the place and the amount of privacy we had, but I do think it's important to note the rooster issue.
