We truly enjoyed our stay. The views were amazing. Great place to wake up to and have a cup of coffee just overlooking everything. I so wish we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend this property to anyone and am hoping to bring more family at a later time to enjoy this as well.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Abuelo Loco. Couldn’t have asked for a better location to enjoy BBNP and Terlingua. Especially loved sitting on the covered back porch with a spectacular view of the mountains. We will definitely stay here again!

We spent a week at Casa Abuelo Loco in June 2026, and had an absolutely amazing time despite the heat! The home has all the amenities, and stunning views all around from the porch to the swim spa and observation areas. The hosts are amazing as well, willing to assist with any questions or concerns along the way. Highly recommend!

Great house

We had an incredible weekend stay in Terlingua. This house was awesome. We had so much fun, hot tub and fire pit added to an unforgettable time under the stars. We will definitely book again.

Fantastic, convenient, comfortable

Great home base near Terlingua Ghost Town for daily adventures in Big Bend National Park. Spotless, comfortable, and spacious with everything we needed. Fantastic views, great layout, and easy hosts. Have stayed elsewhere in Terlingua and I would book this place again in a heartbeat.

Perfect stay

We absolutely loved staying here. The home was so clean & welcoming. We greatly appreciated all the supplies to utilize the kitchen! The game area was fantastic and the view from the hot tub & patio were amazing. Location was great to get to things to do and restaurants. This will be our go to and we’ve already sent the listing to other family members for when they book their annual stay in Terlingua.

We had a wonderful time staying here with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren, ages 5 and 7. The house was beautiful with plenty of room. We enjoyed hiking during the day in Big Bend National Park (a park entrance was just a few minutes away) returning in the evening to cook dinner, play games, soak in the hot tub, and sit by the enclosed log burner. The kids loved playing outside while we grilled, enjoying the stone seats and gravel. We felt like we found the best property in the area and would absolutely stay here again ourselves, and also recommend to our friends.

Most likely the best property in Terlingua.Beautiful sunrises, moon-rises and general star gaing. Well appointmented kitchen, ample fridge space, excellent gaming area, relaxing conversation area. The deck is wonderful, with lots of space and comfortable furniture. Beds are very comfortable after a day of hiking, and the showers are everything you can hope for. Overall,perhaps the best property we've stayed at in the 10 years we've been traveling via VRBO.

Such an amazing property! Every attention to detail here was payed attention to. Came here to stay and visit Big Bend, see the stars. Our family enjoyed the spa/pool almost everyday. And the views!!! Oh my. Will be the first choice when we come back!!

This is an amazing home. The swimming/hot tub was an added bonus after a long day of hiking in the Big Bend National Park. We took advantage of the outdoor living grilling and sitting around the out cooking s’mores. It was a beautiful place to make memories. The stars at night are big and bright deep in West Texas!! The morning views are gorgeous. Daryl took great care in getting back to us promptly with any concerns. We’ll be back!

The reality was even better than the photos; we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and condition of the amenities. The house is extraordinary and exceeded all our expectations.
