Excellent place to stay

Great proximity to Sunday River, excellent space in the house for both sleeping and lounging, and the landlord was very communicative and helpful! Great place all around!

Lovely home

This rental was exactly as described- clean, spacious, and convenient to Sunday River. We enjoyed the hot tub and traveling with our lab!

Everything we were looking for.

This house had everything our group was looking for. Good location (close to Sunday River), surprisingly well-stocked kitchen, plenty of space (both bedrooms and common areas), and the best part was the hot tub. Really, no complaints. We would definitely stay here again!

Spacious and clean

Our family (2 adults, three kids age 10-14) loved our stay at the Orchard House. Logistics were simple as the host was so easy to work with. The property was a clean, comfortable, and spacious - perfect for our ski trip and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Better than expected

The Orchard House has a great vibe-lovely, cozy and super clean-but without making you feel like you can’t “live” there. Kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials, which was a great surprise. The pics are accurate, but don’t quite do it justice. It’s less “campy” than it seems. Great to be in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to trails along the river, yet still close to town and the mountain. I almost gave 4 stars ONLY because the heat was very inconsistent (comfortable downstairs, scorching hot upstairs); and a snow removal crew showed up unannounced at 7AM on a Saturday morning to snow blow the porch and yard. They made a huge racket for a job that should have been taken care of on Friday afternoon.

Terrific House

This house was just what we were looking for in a getaway. The place is very clean and well appointed. The kitchen and family areas were comfortable. There are tons of games and puzzles which was fun for us after skiing. Thanks for a great stay!

Definitely renting again

It was the perfect rental for my friends and I. The house is the perfect distance from the ski resort and even has views of the trails in the distance. It has a right at home feel that makes you think you've been there before. Absolutely would recommend.

Perfect for a cozy getaway!

This is a warm, cozy house that had everything we needed. It is about a 10-15 min drive to Sunday River, in a very quiet neighborhood. We brought our dog and there was a great trail behind the house along the river. Would definitely stay here again.

Little slice of heaven

Such a pefect location. The house was wonderful and relaxing. Communication was wonderful. We loved the area and it was perfectly located to drive around and check our the area. We live in Maine and needed a quick retreat, this was perfect. Thank you

Take Me Back

What an absolute gem this property turned out to be. Extremely quiet, which was quite the luxury for us New Yorkers. The kitchen is beautiful and well-equipped. Comfort pours over every surface of the living space, especially when you get the furnace burning. And don’t even get me started on the amazing hot tub. We found so many enjoyable shops and sights nearby, but let’s be honest, I could have stayed in the cottage the entire time. Thank you Mark for sharing this wonderful space.

Girls' Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect home for our girls' weekend. Spacious, well equipped an private. The hot tub was a huge plus too! We would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway!

Perfect home

Our stay was perfect. It was exactly what we needed, some R&R. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our time. The trails behind the property were perfect for a morning stroll, the neighborhood was really quiet and made us feel like we were the only ones around. Getting into town was only about 10-15 minutes away where we found some great little spots for food, shopping and groceries. I would definitely come back and hope to again soon!

Great house which comfortably slept 7 with room to spare, convenient to Sunday River. Loved the hot tub after a day of skiing. Perfect!

Great ski weekend

Had a great ski weekend with friends at Sunday river, would definitely come back again. Unfortunately had some small problems with the hot tub but Mark was very responsive and had someone out there the same day when I notified him of the issue. The house and property were great and the dogs loved running around in the snow. Will definitely be back!
