Host was a great communicator. We had to shorten our tip and he was great at making this adjustment quickly. Home was close to downtown so we could get to great restaurants within minutes.

We liked staying at this property due to the close proximity to our family that lived in the area. It was comfortable and the kitchen was easy to cook in.

The house was very cute and it was "physically" clean as far as we could tell. The low ratings are because the house had such a pungent mold smell that it caused our throats to fill with phlegm and our sinuses to fill with mucus. After having loaded our luggage and groceries into the house, we ended up having to move out that night because of the smell. Before we moved, we tried striking a match and February and turning the AC down so that the blower could maybe move the smell. Nothing worked. The owners said that they had had a handyman come over the previous Monday and unclog a drain on the washer and that he had said nothing about a smell. A smell like that did not develop overnight. The next day the owner said that he was at the property and he did not smell anything. They said that it was probably old house smell. I've smelled old houses and old libraries. This was not old house smell it was mold. I don't know how anyone could not have known that. If you rent this property, contact them ahead of time and ask them to go over and make sure that there is no mold smell. The owners were great about refunding our money. However it cannot replace the major inconvenience of having to find another place to stay. We ended up loading up all of our stuff and groceries and moving out at 12:00 a.m. after an hour or so of calling different hotels.

Cute little house. Not the best neighborhood. Felt the listing was deceptive because the driveway w/garage was pictured but before arrival host requested we park on the street because it is a shared driveway. Our car and it’s contents were ultimately fine but we weren’t really comfortable parking on the street and felt uneasy about it the whole time.While previous reviews had praised the cleanliness of the property, it was sufficiently clean but we noticed some things that should be addressed. All of our allergies went into overdrive in this house. Mold on the bathroom ceiling. Dust bunnies on the floor behind the bed in the primary. Cobwebs with dead spiders and insects on the fireplace in the living room.The primary would benefit from some blackout curtains like the 2nd bedroom has. At night, the streetlight shines straight through the primary bedroom privacy shades and lands right on the pillow in the middle of the bed. And the house next door has a motion detector light that goes on and off throughout the night that also shines straight into the bedroom. Very disruptive and not conducted to a good nights sleep.The inside front door knob is on the verge of falling off. Made it tricky to open the door from inside. And all the water fixtures need tightening as well (tub/shower, bathroom sink and kitchen sink).Other than those things, everything else was fine. Host communicated adequately and we had no problems checking in or out of the property.

Accurate description of home and area. Quiet neighborhood, plenty of parking on street right in front of home. Only negative was a musty smell mainly in living room and kitchen, kitchen cabinets and refrigerator needed a bit more wiping down. I informed host that there was water damage in bathroom as well.
