Chi House By The Cohost Company two blocks from the Joshua Tree National Park boundary, and 20 mins from the park's west entrance. Inspired by the unique desert energy (chi) and landscape, two sisters designed the house as a place to unwind and soak up every moment, from relaxing in the hot tub surrounded by sweeping desert vistas, grilling under the starry sky, to enjoying curated pieces from California artists. The house features strong wifi, several workspaces and an EV charging outlet.

Chi House is great for a group of friends, families or two couples. There are two bedrooms (each with a king bed) and two full bathrooms. The large couch and a comfortable extra memory foam rollaway can be used for additional sleeping space.

We hope to offer an exceptional base for exploring the rugged landscape just down the road, enjoying the local art scene and visiting the restaurants and shops nearby. What makes this space special is the location, luxury decor and suite of amenities.

PARKING AND EV CHARGER:
Maximum of three cars. Guests can park on the pavement outside the garage or to the left of the house near the EV charging outlet. The garage is available for laundry use but not for parking due to security reasons.

The EV charging outlet is Level 2 220 Volts, 12-35 miles per hour. IMPORTANT NOTE: you will need to provide your own charging cable/cord.

KITCHEN:
Fully equipped with: refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker and all the kitchen essentials (wine glasses, pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, etc.)

THE DRIVE:
Super simple, flat and safe road to get to the house. The driveway can develop a shallow ditch due to water erosion, so make sure to pull into the driveway slowly!

INTERNET:
The house has reliable high-speed internet, making for a perfect work-cation getaway! You can access your Hulu, Youtube, Netflix accounts with the Smart TV.

FITNESS EQUIPMENT & MUSIC
Free weights, yoga mats and Bluetooth speaker available.

SECURITY:
Two Nest security cameras are located at the front and side of the house for your security. There are NO cameras inside the property.

COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO:
We allow commercial photography and video for an extra cost. Please let us know if you're planning on using the space for that.

PROPERTY RULES:
Hot Tub & Cleanliness: To maintain a clean and pleasant spa environment, we kindly ask you to rinse off lotions or oils before using our facilities. Additionally, please help us keep the spas tidy by disposing of trash properly. Please note that an additional fee may be charged for excessive dirtiness.

No Parties: Please be aware that parties and large gatherings are strictly prohibited in this house. We prioritize the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all our guests, as well as our neighbors. We kindly request that you respect this policy during your stay. Failure to do so will result in a $500 fine for guests.

Late Checkout: Any late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee.

Unauthorized Guests or Pets: Any unauthorized guests or pets will incur a $100 fee per guest or pet. Please note that we do NOT allow cats in the property.

Missing or Damaged Property: Any missing or damaged property will result in a fine. Please take care of our home as if it were your own.

◦ PETS
We do have a pet fee of $195 for 2 pets and $100 for extra pet. We are unable to accommodate cats due to the owner's severe allergy. Appreciate your understanding!


◦ WILDLIFE
This is the rural desert and we share the space with the wildlife. You may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, or if you’re lucky a bobcat.

◦ RULES:
Noise ordinance: Quiet hours are 10pm-7am.
No external speakers allowed.
Any noise related discrepancies will result in at least a $1000 fine.

◦ SMOKING POLICY
No smoking inside the house or within 10ft. Smoke residue will result in excessive cleaning fees

◦ RESTRICTED AREAS
Any locked closet or room is restricted. If forcibly entered you could be held liable for any unaccounted for item.

◦ HOT TUB & POOL:
Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times.
Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration.
No drinking in the hot tub, please.
Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we're in the desert and debris can easily get into the water.
Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.


◦ PHOTOSHOOTS & VIDEO:
No unpermitted photoshoots or videoing at the home. If you would like to use our home for those purposes please send us a message. Any unauthorized filming will result in a $5000 violation and production fee.

◦ Authorized early check-in and late check-out are available at $50 per hour

◦ Additionally, any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee

◦ Items left behind will incur a minimum return shipping fee of $50, depending on the shipping address
