Información de la propiedad

Modern Sheep camp next door to Bozeman hot springs.

We are Located in four corners across the street from Bozeman hot springs, our Sheep camp is less that 200 yards from their front door. It is the closest of any vacation rental to them. The area is semi-rural with farms, neighborhoods and businesses. Big Sky resort is 42 miles, Bridger bowl is 26 miles. Bozeman is 7 miles.

We are located in the Rainbow subdivision possibly Montana's oldest subdivision. The street we live on is Lower Rainbow Road. In the summer we see some spectacular rainbows here with many being double Rainbows.

Enjoy what this 1-bedroom modern range camp has to offer. Forced air gas heat, Indoor and outdoor kitchen, Two Queen beds, 3/4 bath. Clothes closet and drawers Pantry, Gas range and oven. convection oven and micro wave, Keurig coffee maker. Refrigerator/ freezer, Solo fire pit with Adirondak chairs, hard woods for cooking and softwoods for just gereral hanging around the camp fire, Treager smoker grill and a weber propane grill.
If there are more than two people in this camp, it's a small space and you best be the courteous kind. This range camp is the real deal. It was made for people who work on the range. Cowboys, sheepherders and such. As such you will need to be a bit western in attitude to fully enjoy it. It is very efficient but a small space. It works fine as a place to stay especially for one or two people.
The basic normal things are intuitive. But for using things like the outdoor kitchen, the range oven and awning you may need a quick lesson on how those work. We are happy to teach you. If you want the experience or ambience of using the woodstove then we absolutely require that we instruct you on how to use it first. Using it requires your attention. Before TV and other modern distractions, the fire was the center of our attention and social environment. Giving your fire attention then was easy. It still requires your attention if you choose to use it here.
You can't use the wood stove when it's warm out because it would get to hot in the camp. The outdoor fire pit is always allowed and well stocked with fire wood.
This unique property provides guests with Wi-Fi, TV, Stereo an iron and ironing board, It has forced air gas heat for a comfortable stay.
After a day of adventure Take a soak in the hot springs, enjoy the fire, snuggle up in your nice comfortable bed and that's a pretty good day.
Bozeman hot springs is very clean and modern. The Hot springs provide a family friendly atmosphere complete with family dressing rooms. They are owned by Seventh Day Adventists. In observance of their sabbath they are closed from sundown Friday until sundown Saturday.
They have an outdoor stage for entertainment. There you can enjoy watching and listening to music while relaxing in the outdoor pools. Music is on Thursday and Sunday nights. Alcohol is not allowed.
You will find lots of places nearby to shop and eat a bite. For outdoors people four corners is home to the flag ship stores for Simms fly fishing gear, Kenetrek, Peax and Stone Glacier, Bozeman is headquarters for Sitka, Mystery Ranch and Meat eater.
There are antique shops up the street and down the street from us. There are lots of niche shops here in four corners.
There are many places nearby to eat. People often come here for the food. One of our favorites is the coffee pot cafe and Bakery. They're a bit spendy but they have awesome breakfast made from scratch. While waiting for your food you may find a special gift or keepsake there. Especially if you're into ceramics. They are less than five minutes on foot.
Another really good place to get a meal and where we eat out the most is the country corner cafe. Saturday night is prime rib and music. It's a very good price on a very good meal. The service and music there is excellent. They are only 8/10th of a mile north of us.
If it needs to be quick but good food Mama Macs is very good . You can even call in your order the night before and it will be ready for pickup in the morning. Many of our local fishing guides use this service for their clients. There are lots of great places to eat near us.
If you want something for the grill or roast over the fire, a mile from us at Four Corners is the Primal Fish and Meat market and lone peak provisions. The latter also serves up an excellent burger.
Maybe you just have to have a city, then go see what Bozeman has to offer. On your way there you will probably get distracted because there are a lot of great places to shop and eat on the way.
Your host Tammy and Glade are Skiers, hikers and hunters who have been here for a long time. They are more than happy to share with you what they know about the area. We live in the log and stone house just over the fence from where you're staying.

I moved here from Nevada and Utah in 1980. I came here because I love working and playing in the outdoors. It was a very different place when I first arrived here. It was a very rural culture. Bozeman had Montana state university and that was the largest employer here. Agriculture and logging were also very important. For many years I did forestry work. Then My wife and I had a daughter in 1987 and we purchased a house here. We kept doing forestry contracts and that required we travel out of state. Most of our work was outside of Montana in the states of Idaho, South Dakota, Oregon, Washington, California, and Alaska.
When our daughter was old enough to be in school, I needed a business where I didn't have to travel. I started a handyman service. We called Young, Younger & Youngest. It was named that to include me my wife and daughter. Our last name is Young. It was very hard to make a living here. and I picked up other work where ever I could.
Today we still do forestry work but most of my work is as an arborist. We still do some of that, but I am now more of an arborist than a forester.
My wife goes back five generations in Gallatin Valley. Our company also sprays weed and lawns she manages that part of our company. She is very good at that and is also a gifted artist and gardener. She did the interior decorating for our two vacation rentals. She is also the one who made our flower gardens and takes care of the yard. She is passionate about all of it.
both of us Ski the backcountry. I'm a hunter, hiker and back packer.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

When we bought it had the space we needed for our companies equipment and it was affordable. We do enjoy the neighborhood it has retained the rural feel but the real reason we are here is because it was affordable. Since we bought it we have made many improvements. We built a guest cabin, a shop and we installed 3 Rv sites one of which we use for the camp.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We are in what is probably Montana's oldest subdivision called Rainbow subdivision. Incidentally we do see lots of amazing rainbows here. Our road is Lower Rainbow Road. there is also an upper rainbow road in the neighborhood. Many of our frequent rainbows are double Rainbows.
As I understand it though the subdivision was actually named for the abundant rainbow trout in the Gallatin River.
Across the highway from us its farmland. and across Lower Rainbow Road is Bozeman Hot Springs.
