The home is as pictured. We never felt unsafe in the neighborhood and it is walking distance to the street car stop. The greenway trail across the street has easy walking access to city park, restaurants, grocery stores and playgrounds. Communication with the host started off well. Then when issues arose the communication was ignored for days. I had to send messages multiple times over a series of days to finally get a response. I received unrelated messages like "if you have issues let us know! Hope your trip is going well" with no response to messages I had sent regarding cleanliness issues. We slept atop the blankets due to the uncleanliness of the beds and only received communication about trying to get someone there to fix it two days before we were set to leave. No wifi was available and we were unable to get the bikes out since they were behind a locked gate with no code given. There is no welcome binder with codes for wifi or the bike gate, garbage day, and any other pertinent information.

A week's stay

We booked this place for an event we were going to, and stayed for a week. The house was easy to find, in a pretty quiet neighborhood, and was very clean. We loved how spacious it was, especially the kitchen. The back porch was really cute, and a nice place to hang out in the evenings. Two of our party ended up not coming, so both kids got their own rooms and absolutely loved it. They provided several rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, a sponge and dish soap, towels, clean sheets, and laundry detergent! The washer and dryer came in real handy one night too. It was nice not having to bring all these things, and still having the ability to clean our sweaty clothing. The neighborhood looked a little sketchy, but it was quiet, and we had positive experiences with some of the neighbors. We didn't have any problems leaving our car parked on the street all week. There is a streetcar stop about a 8-10 minute walk from the house, which made getting to the French quarter easy. I do recommend that if you are going to book with these owners, use their contact info from their actual site instead of on here, they reply faster that way. Also, the last payment might take an extra week to process! It did for us, but everything was square by the time we were on the way to New Orleans! If we ever make it back to NOLA, I would absolutely consider staying here again!
