We had a wonderful stay at the Cedar Shack. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable, just steps from the beach and conveniently close to everything Tofino and the area has to offer. Highly recommended!

This is the best equipped accomodation that I have ever rented. It's location just across the street from Chesterman beach is ideal and I recommend a night time hot tub to enjoy the millions of stars.

We recently stayed at the Cedar Shack for four nights. We had a fabulous stay. The cottage had everything one could wish for, the welcoming basket, hot tub, comfortable beds and seating,everything spotless. The hosts are on site and very helpful and friendly if you need anything or have questions. The location so near Chesterman and basically close to everything is superb. We would love to return and highly recommend this lovely cottage. Thank you for having us!

The private Cedar Shack property is just perfect for a stay near Tofino. It is just a 3 minute walk across the small drive to Chesterman beach. You can also check the tides and walk to Cox bay and back from the beach. It has two beautiful decks for lounging and all the necessary items; BBQ, chairs and cushions, toys, beach chairs, and private garden spaces for little children to run around freely. The hot tub was most appreciated and the kitchen fully outfitted with a big fridge. We were very comfortable as 4 adults, and a toddler. The toddler pack and play bed we brought fit nicely in one of the bedrooms near the bed. The hosts responded to both our arrival and departure messages immediately and we had no other reason to contact them during the stay, all instructions were clear and the game cupboard was full of board games and cards! We would definitely recommend staying here.

Very private property with fantastic amenities! Great hot tub and deck areas to relax, with an easy walk to the beach for surfing and beach combing. We couldn't recommend the place more.

We had a wonderful 3 nights at Barb and Daniel's Cedar Shack. It had been 25 years since my last trip to Tofino and surfing at Chestermans Beach. It is still as beautiful as ever. The Cedar Shack is just across the street from the beach. It was super easy to get the wetsuits on and carry the boards to the beach. The outdoor shower and hangers for the wetsuits was great. The hot tub is wonderful. The landscaping on the property is really impressive and creates beautiful privacy barriers from the main house to the cabin at the rear of the property. The Cedar Shack has laundry which is great after already traveling for 2 weeks. Barb and Daniel have created a Tofino oasis. We will be back sooner than later for the next surf and west coast adventure!

Lovely property directly across from the beach. Everything is as advertised and the cabin is very well stocked. It was our 2nd time staying and we will be back!

What a magical place! Our highlight was watching the shooting stars light up the sky while sitting in the hot tub. Very private, clean, and comfortable. And only steps to the beach. A little hidden gem! We will be back!

Very cute cabin in a quaint setting. Everything worked well. We didn’t have time to use the hot tub but the property is well laid out. Such handy access to the beach. Very enjoyable stay.

My husband, my dad and I stayed here for 4 nights in September and the property is just incredible! Barb, our host has her own home right on the property as well but you’d never know it. There’s so much beautiful landscaping that everything is so private and you can’t even see the other house from ours. The hot tub was so nice to jump into at the end of our days at the beach. Beach access is a jiffy with it being pretty well right across the driveway. There’s no air conditioning so it did get a little warm in the house during the day but luckily each room had a little fan to turn on. It took us less than 9 minutes to drive to the town of Tofino to pick up groceries and enjoy other restaurants. There’s a little market even closer that’s about a 4 minute drive and there’s a cafe, ice cream and more, plus a little convenience store that sells fresh produce. Perfect location, we are already looking at trips to come back!

Loved staying at this property. Close to the beach, ample amount of space. Loved stepping outside and hearing the waves and the gardens onsite were beautiful. The hosts (Barb especially who we talked to for a bit) were lovely and made us feel so welcome. It’s worth noting that it is not air conditioned so it can get stuffy on warmer days in the afternoon but it was easily managed by opening the windows, and there were plenty of screened doors and windows to keep the cottage comfortable. I would recommend this property and hope to stay here again if/when we return to the area!!

The cottage was easy access to the beach and lovely walks. We had everything we needed and the kitchen was full stocked for everything we needed for cooking and our dinners. The hot tub and sitting area were very private and we had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend staying in the amazing Cedar Shack. Brilliant for a ladies weekend away.

Our stay was wonderful. The rooms were clean, the cottage had nice privacy and the hot tub was a nice bonus! The location was perfect, a nice short walk to the beach! The cottage had everything we needed and we would love to come back in the future!

Check in/out was a breeze. The cottage was very clean and had everything we could possibly need to enjoy our stay. We experienced some heavy downpour and the fireplace was amazing to come home too and dry out after a day out. Thank you!!
