Deerfield Cabin is secluded yet 1 block from downtown Helen! We are truly in the center of the city. Come sit on our rocking chair front porch or huge patio, enjoy the firepit, play a game of cornhole or horseshoes. You can grill under our pavilion, keep your drinks cold in the fridge and eat at our custom made picnic table. You can listen to the subtle sounds of music and laughter while feeling secluded from it all or, walk a block and you can be right in the middle of it all! The best of both worlds. Park your car in the driveway and you won't need it again until you leave. Everything is close, shopping, restaurants and bars with fabulous food or walk 2 blocks to Betty's Country Store and pickup whatever you need, such a cool store to visit.So much to do and see just steps away.

Deerfield is absolutely amazing! The location is perfect with everything in walkable distance. It is so well stocked you can just show up. Betty's grocery down the road is very reasonable too so don't hesitate to pack minimally. We'll definitely be back again!

This is a great house! The location is literally a 5 minute walk to the best of downtown Helen. Close to a park too! And we stay in alot of vacation rentals, and this property was the best-stocked house we have ever visited---it had everything we could possibly need! We definitley hope to go back to stay longer next time.

Great location and host!

Cabin was a 5 min walk from the main street where all the shops and restaurants are located. The cabin had everything you could possibly need from q tips to beach towels and air mattresses. There is zip lining,tubing white water rafting and horseback riding in the area. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!!

We just returned from a fantastic stay at Deerfield Cabin! We were a party of 8,ranging in age of 53-77, visiting for Oktoberfest since we had all been stationed together in Germany in the 80s. The weather was not very cooperative, so we spent a LOT of time in the cabin, which made catching up even easier.This cabin was without a doubt the BEST outfitted short term rental I have ever used, there was absolutely everything one could possibly need. It was spacious enough inside and glorious outside, beautifully decorated as well; the pictures online do not truly do it justice.The owner was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns and provided a warm welcome. A couple folks in our party were already considering a possible return with their own families in the future. I would definitely rent this cabin again if with a large group or family event.P.S. No bear encounters (thankfully) but there were a few deer horsing around while we were packing up....made it tough to head home.Kathi Edge

Great house with a great location

Our stay at Deerfield was great. This house was perfect for our group of 4 couples. The house was furnished and stocked with everything you need for a great stay. Truly was a home away from home. We loved how close to town we were as we easily walked to anywhere we needed to go.

Location is everything comfortable and spacious

You can literally walk to town which was the best for us. Nothing in the description was misleading we parked five full size vehicles in the drive. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Stay

This cabin is so amazing. We come to Helen every Oktoberfest and stay here. It never disappoints. So close to town you can walk to everything. A pavilion was added since our last stay, it’s beautiful. Great way to end the trip relaxing and grilling.

Amazing property and location!

My family had a great time in Helen, and the trip was even better because of this property. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything. Ample parking and an amazing outdoor space. The Christmas decorations were great and made it feel like home! Nina was on top of communication and everything was seamless. Again, a great family vacation made even better because of this amazing property!

Wonderful home in a great location!!

Amazing home right in the heart of downtown Helen. The owners have thought of everything! We had 4 adult couples and had plenty of space. The house was clean and inviting. The outdoor space was a great way to unwind in the evening. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing all around!

This place was the perfect getaway for our group of 8! The three couples had their own space and then the guys took the loft up stairs. The host really thought of everything you can imagine!! The outdoor area was our perfect for entertaining! We will be back next year!

The Deerfield Cabin was the perfect home, and location for our family reunion! Nina was so helpful and accommodating to our needs. The home was clean, organized, and very well stocked. We enjoyed the outdoor patio/pavilion area, and spent a wonderful day shopping in Helen, which was just a short walk away. We are already planning our return next year!

We will be back!

The entire family loved the stay. We usually go somewhere different each Christmas but they have asked to return here next year. The amenities are above and beyond. Anything we needed was there as well as anything we forgot. Something very close for everyone including hiking, playground, shopping and groceries without ever leaving plus lots of space there for outside activities.

Great home, host and location in Helen!

We really enjoyed our stay here. House was clean and roomy enough for our party of 12. It had everything we needed to be cozy and warm even though it snowed and also had many amenities. We were able to walk to downtown shops and restaurants which we loved. Our host was awesome! She let us stay an extra night at no charge so we would not have to travel on icy roads due to a snow storm. We made great memories and left a lot of love there for our host and the next guests! . I would definitely recommend!

Exceeded Our Expectations

Great cabin and location for our group of 13. We've rented many VRBOs and have never seen one so well stocked. Cabin was clean and has a very comfortable, homey feel to it. Comfortable beds and the toddler bed worked out perfectly for our 3 yr old grandson. Enjoyed the Oktoberfest and Ruby Falls, and being able to walk to everything. We were there to celebrate a birthday, and Nina even put up birthday decorations - thank you!

Wonderful Stay

First off this property owner has thought of everything. It is really the best stock house we have ever rented. So much information in the house for things to do. It was an easy walk to town for the young people but a really big hill for us older folks to climb. Of course the next to last day we were there we got the thrill to see the Mommy Bear and 2 cubs come thru the side yard and that evening as a friend was leaving another bear was in the driveway. Over all Nina is a wonderful host. Our visit couldn't be more perfect.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!

First of all Nina is amazing to work with. She is so accommodating at this house is lacking for nothing. The space in this house was Perfect for our large family and my goodness the comforts of home abound! The location is private but so close to town and the yard, fire pit and outdoor pavilion provides a great entertaining space. This hostess really decorates for each occasion. We arrived on Christmas Day and the place was so festive and inviting! I would not even think of going to Helen and not staying here!!! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

But both of us love Georgia, our weather, people and culture, not to mention the many attractions we have to offer residences and visitors. After you visit Deerfield Cabin, we hope you will love Helen and Georgia too!

Our house was built in 1932. My husband stumbled across it in 2003 and had such a vision of what it could be. I, on the other hand, couldn't quite see what he saw! My husband along with our 3 boys, myself, friends and some actual tradesmen, transformed this small old house into a lovely, homey secluded cabin! We have before and after pictures in the cabin for you to see. It was a lot of work but we are so proud of our 'old, new cabin in the middle of downtown Helen'

We, as a family come and enjoy Helen as much as our guest do. We have a very open floor plan so everyone is accessible all over the house yet privacy in each of the 4 bedrooms. Our kitchen is also open and has a great breakfast bar to gather at. The kitchen is fully equipped and makes cooking fun. Play horse shoes, cornhole or enjoy the large firepit on our paver patio with lots of seating. We have a large covered pavilion with gas and charcoal grill, fridge and large picnic table to seat 10. Walk a block and choose one of the many places to shop, eat and drink.
