My husband and I enjoyed this wonderful cabin, and Amy was very prompt with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property and will keep it in mind for future trips!

This place is delightful – our 2nd visit! Lots of light, charming vintage touches, great screened porch, comfy furniture… If you like a nostalgic, unpretentious cabin, this could be your place. (AND wifi works great!) Lots to do when you’re not out on the clean little lake: good local farmer's markets, a moving country cemetery nearby, friendly ponies on Heartland Drive, much more… The Trumpeter Swan family was a highlight: Mr & Mrs with 4 cygnets! Thanks to our super nice hosts!!

We were looking for a quiet place with a great view and this was it. Loved the Adirondack chairs on the beach. The cabin was clean and bright, the beds were just right. Hope to return soon.

The property was great! I especially liked the screened in sunroom which was perfect for an afternoon nap after fishing on the lake. My son caught plenty of pan fish. We made burgers on the Webber Kettle grill one night, hotdogs and smores in the firepit the next night, and pancakes and bacon on the Blackstone each morning. Definitely recommend staying here. Hosts were great to work with too.

Beautiful property! The cabin was perfect, and had the perfect vibe we were looking for. It truly has everything you need and more. From inside the cabin, looking out the windows, you see all lake. The outdoors really come in and the screened porch is wonderful! So many different spaces in the cabin and outside to relax, read a book, and watch the sunset. No matter where you are, there’s a view. Amy is an excellent host! All details covered, great communication, and the cabin shows pride of ownership.

The host thought of absolutely everything. This property exceeded our expectations. We planned our vacation at this location due to a near by attraction. Our family ended up not going because we were having so much fun at this property. The lake was crystal clear and we fished all day. All the water toys were maintained and clean. We rented the pontoon and it started everytime, was clean, and well maintained. The views were amazing.

What a wonderful cabin! My family of 4 had the perfect amount of space for sleeping and hanging out. Had the best nap of my life on the side porch with the breeze coming in over the lake and the hammock was a great spot as well. The kitchen had everything we needed and the dining table was perfect for evening board games. The lake was wonderful with the kayaks, paddleboards and pontoon. Amy had great recommendations for a state park nearby to see the headwaters of the Mississippi - a must see! We were never bored. Everything was so peaceful and we would definitely come back!

Beautiful little cabin perfect for our family of 4! The lake is gorgeous and we used the kayaks provided multiple times per day! Definitely hope to return.

Great, private, peaceful cabin! Beautiful sunsets! Great views. Plenty of outdoor seating for dining and relaxing. Owners are very responsive. Really enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin! We had so much fun kayaking, feeding the fish, and lounging in the hammock. The kids especially loved the lily pad! The sand beach was great. Will definitely come back.

My daughter and I, and three of my grandchildren ages 3 to 7 had an absolutely magical time at this cabin! The cabin was spotless, the beach and water were crystal clear and so clean, and the accommodations were so comfortable that it was really hard to say goodbye.

Sandy Pines is a beautiful little cabin. It was homey and comfortable, well-stocked, and very clean. We caught some fish in the lake, and spent an entire day on the pontoon on the lake. The owners are very friendly, and they have helpful little notes all over to help you navigate the cabin properly. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Sandy Pines for the first time this weekend with our 5 and 6 year olds. It was phenomenal. The property is meticulously maintained. The cabin is adorable and so cozy. Our favorites were the screened in porch and lakeside amenities. The kids loved the lily pad and paddle boards. We would love to stay again!!

Wonderful stay. Even better than able to be shown with online pics. Host attentive and friendly. Loved the views and sitting in screened in porch. Watching loons, swans and a bever who swam by every morning. A perfect place to escape the every day world. We didn't want to leave.

This is a beautifully maintained and thoughtfully updated cabin on a perfect lake. We caught plenty of fish and enjoyed peaceful days on the water. Evenings were spent playing games and relaxing together — it was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect. The owners have truly thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable and at home. A wonderful stay in a very special place! We will be back again!

Ojibwe Cabin Stay

Cabin was very clean and thoughtfully designed. Location was private and quiet. Fire pit was close enough to cabin to be convenient, but not too close as to get smoke from the pit into the cabin. Lake was clear. Views from cabin deck and fire pit were lovely. Enjoyed paddle boards, kayaks and water mat Overall, was a really pleasant stay.

The Cali kitchen was updated and worked pretty well! I just adapted and use the limited counter space but overall everything was equipped in the kitchen.

Peaceful Cabin on the lake

My husband and I along with our two boys (ages 16 and 14) stayed at Sandy Pines for three nights. The boys enjoyed fishing on the lake (we brought our own boat). Our boys also took the kayaks out and fished some on their own. The view from the deck was a perfect spot to sit and drink your coffee in the morning. Amy had EVERYTHING you needed to make this cabin home for your stay. The cabin was very clean. We would definitely stay there again!
