Updated historic home in great village location

Very nice home close to the beaches and restaurants in Jamestown. First floor is airy and updated with plenty of outdoor space. Second floor is cozy and comfortable. Lauren is great host!

Jamestown Village

We loved our stay in Jamestown and had plenty of room for friends and family. We enjoyed exploring all that Jamestown has to offer and walked to the harbor and restaurants every day!

Relaxing in Rhode Island

This property is perfect for a relaxing week away. The house is roomy and very comfortable with a secure fenced in yard. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and the dining room has plenty of seating space. I enjoyed coffee on the front porch ( very private ) in the morning, and family dinner on the back deck in the evening. There is a hammock for lounging and an outdoor shower. The location is amazing, a quiet street a few blocks from downtown and the town beach is within walking distance as well. A favorite was sunset at Beavertail Park on the rock ledge. All of Rhode Island is accessible with Newport being only 10 minutes away.....the Cliff Walk , Doris Duke Mansion, Dels Lemonade . Even with all of Rhode Island at your fingertips, this Jamestown gem offers all you need for a relaxing week away.

Perfect house

This is the second time we stayed in Jamestown and our third vacation in the Newport area. After booking a hotel because there were no house rentals to be found back in May, I was shocked to find this perfect little house smack in the center of Jamestown a day before we were leaving! As luck would have it, the owner had a cancellation! The house has EVERYTHING in it. I brought a few things with me only to find it was all there. The house was spotless, plenty of rooms to hang out in, great family room and dining room. So comfortable and homey. A few blocks walk to town, the pier and our favorite restaurant Simpatico! Jamestown is great because you can get to Narragansett or Newport with ease! Plus it has a great beach! Thanks for a great stay and for being available!!

Great house!

This was our second time renting this home. It is a great home and has everything we need. Lauren is very accessible and very quick to respond, not that we had any issues at all. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable to relax in. The location is perfect! We could not have been happier, and hope to be in this house next year also.

The property is centrally located to downtown Jamestown and the town beach is a short walk away. The house was immaculate and the owners were very attentive to our every concern.

Wonderful Jamestown

A beautiful roomy and homey property, very well located a short walk from the village center with access to its bars and restaurants, in a quiet residential neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and all of the little touches. Unfortunately the neighboring property was being remodeled during our stay and this was, at times, noisy and intrusive. Although not the responsibility of the property owner, nor within their control, Lauren could have been better in communicating with us about this. Consequently this is reflected in the stars awarded, and I’d advise guests staying any time over the rest of this summer to confirm the situation, particularly if they’re likely to make use of what is otherwise great outside space. I really am reluctant to penalize for this, as the property is otherwise wonderful, but it did impact our stay. Hopefully the work will be completed soon, at which point, I’d really recommend this property

A Charming Cottage

My family and I spent the past week in this cottage that hugs you. Our ages ranged from 4 to 77, and every age loved it! The house has two living rooms, allowing for different activities, and the front porch, back deck, and the fenced in backyard, with hammock, kept everyone happy. Sweet details like the old-fashioned bottle opener, the games, and the books added personality to the warm, thoughtful decor. The fact that the house is a short walk to town makes it a perfect place to stay. We hopt to return!

Beautiful home; will return!

We had a wonderful rental experience in this beautiful home! The house has been charmingly remodeled with unique character preserved. They had everything we could need during our week long stay; it was definitely our home away from home. 5 adults and 2 children had plenty of space and comfort. Thank you, Lauren, for making the entire process of renting a pleasure; we look forward to returning!

Perfect Weekend Stay

A perfectly charming home! I visited with 3 other friends and we all were very pleased with the home and it's location! None of us were that familiar with RI and from Jamestown we were able to explore Watch Hill and Newport very easily. It was also so nice to be able to walk into town to marvelous restaurants. The house also provides a great deal of privacy . . . . with a lovely front porch and an equally lovely back deck we were never on top of each other. Will definitely return for more "bridge" weekends!

The modest exterior of this charming Jamestown house does not do justice to the spacious and immaculately cared for interior.The recent addition of a large family room, open kitchen and new bath, large windows make this a cheery home. My husband and I and another couple spent Columbus day weekend in this home. We all commented how spotlessly clean it was-the furniture, curtains, kitchen and bathrooms. Every inch appeared to be freshly painted. The two first floor living areas, each with a flat screen TV are separated by a dining room allowing for privacy. We had morning coffee on the back deck and evening drinks on the covered front porch. We walked to in-town restaurants, to the docks for ice cream cones and to watch the sail boats on the Bay. This house is a winner. we will return.
