Located directly across the street from the Glen Royal Barn event venue, this house is ready for wedding and out-of-town guests! Walk to the Farmer's Market May-October or spend a day at the beach kayaking or enjoying the sun. This house is all about location! Enjoy the convenience of amenities like heating, WiFi, and a washing machine during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you to our place.

What a lovely location! Cute and cozy decor, enough space for an extended family, and all the amenities you need. Conveniently located within a short walk from the beach and the adorable town this house was the perfect fit for us!

Really enjoyed the stay. Had to leave a day early unfortunately but i would absolutely stay again. Great location, very clean, good communication, plenty of room for a family to stay here. I will be back again. Thank you huron house!

Nice property with good location that met our needs. Washer was not working properly when we were there and the property was not properly cleaned before our stay, but we always enjoy our stay in Port Austin.

Hello. Can you tell me what was not properly cleaned before your arrival so I can address it with the cleaning crew? Also, I do have maintenance people on standby when guests are visiting. If I would have known the washer was not running properly, I could have sent a person over to look at it. If I don’t know about these issues, I can’t help correct them. Leaving one star reviews really affects our rating and I would’ve liked the chance to correct what you found wrong. Enjoy your future visits in Port Austin!

Perfect location for our one night stay in Port Austin. My family was really happy that I chose this cute little home in town. Great host and nice decorations. She made sure to make the home welcoming. Hoping me and my family get another chance to stay here (and hopefully for longer) in the future :)

My family had a BLAST staying at The Huron Host. Location, location, location walking distance to everything in town. Love that it has four bedrooms as I had family coming up for a few days at different times. Would love to come back next year.

This property is very convenient to restaurants and the market. Very responsive owner/manager. Overall everything was clean and basic supplies provided.

Location great

Location great, house needs a little more TLC on cleaning and upkeep of the house, a few more basic supplies like paper towels, toilet paper Etc.

It was okay. We could tell that upgrade was still in process. Example transition stripes from tile floor to wood floors need to be install. No blinds on patio door, loose tiles in the bathroom but it was fine for a couple days that we stayed there

Thank you for the feedback. We sometimes have to do repairs in the off season which reflects the price discount for that time and inconvenience of small repairs. The patio door without blinds is intentional due to potential damage to the blinds going in and out. The backyard is fairly secluded and private. Again, thank you for your feedback and all of the repairs/ upgrades have already been completed since your stay!

Our group of friends enjoyed our stay very much. When we arrived to find the A/C was not functioning I wasn’t sure we would even stay. But I contacted the owner who was very quick to resolve the issue to our comforts. The location is quick to most places yet very quiet.

When we arrived we found mouse dropping on the kitchen counter. There was mouse dropping on the bedding of one of the twin beds. The flooring is uneven. It was very difficult to get warm water in the shower. It was either scolding hot or icy cold. Putting the lever in the middle shuts off the water. I was finally able to get warm water, but it was low water pressure because it was almost at the off position.

Hi! Thank you for the feedback! You are the first guest to ever report a problem with any rodents or plumbing issues! We have an exterminator monitoring the property and had a plumber make sure the shower is in top working order. The floor is an overlay of an older job due to the age of the home. Thank you again and without this feedback we can’t help make our property the best it can be.
