Hello Renters,

Our property offers an 1,100 sq ft chalet style lake house with 50 ft feet of private beach front on pristine Lake Huron. The house has all the comforts of home while still maintaining that "away from it all" feeling that you've been longing for. It features an updated full bathroom, a fully stocked kitchen, 3 bedrooms with all new queen size mattresses, new trundle beds for the kids, and air conditioning. The lot is almost 350 ft deep so there is plenty of room for the kids to run around and parking for up to 2-3 vehicles depending on their size. We have a swing set for kiddos for enjoy when not on th beach. We are located adjacent to M-25, on a private dead end road; no need to worry about traffic with small children. The house is located conveniently half way between Caseville and Port Austin. The house is also within walking distance from a convenience store and 1/2 mile from a Public Oak Beach Park and boat launch. This house is designed for 1-2 small families. No all adult parties.

Family Beach Getaway

We had a wonderful time at the lake house! It was in a perfect location, central to Caseville and Port Austin, and on a quiet road. The kids (and adults) loved being right on the beach and had fun collecting shells and swimming in the shallow water. The house was cozy, but clean and just what we were looking for to enjoy the tail end of summer. Would definitely book again!

Cute Place and Great Hosts.

Our family stayed for a week in the Caseville area. This house is situated on a private street so you avoid the busyness of M-25. The hosts Jon + Kara had great communication with us throughout our stay. Very cute property + would definitely stay again.

Annual beach weekend

Beautiful beach in the backyard, swing for watching sunsets was a a nice bonus. Owners were great communicators. Would be a five star property if they included bedding and towels, more toilet paper etc. We knew that was the case but found it to be an extra stress to pack all the extra necessities when traveling with small kids that already are hard to pack for. Thank you for the hospitality!

Perfect family getaway

We travelled with our two children ages 2 and 3, this place was *perfect* for our family to stay. Walk right out to the beach, swings in the front yard, we loved that they had toddler rails for the bed since our 2 year old is still in a crib back home. Our kids loved this place so much my daughter asked to make sure we come back next year. Thank you Jon and Kara for having us and treating us with great hospitality

Our favorite summertime vacation spot!

We LOVE this place! This was our 3rd year staying here and it continues to be a place we look forward to every year. The area is very low-key and relaxing, and the beach area is great for small kids to play as it's pretty shallow. We enjoy walks along the beach in both directions. The house is clean and cozy, and has everything you need for a week at the beach! Our daughter loves having the swings on property to play on. The market within walking distance is super convienent! We plan to come back every year as a family summer tradition. Thanks to Jon & Kara for being terrific hosts!

relaxing and beautiful

This is a great house with an awesome location. The owners were so amazing from start to finish. We wanted a place on the water that our children could play without having to worry about any steep stairs leading down to the sand or water and this place was exactly what we wanted and more. We loved the fact the house was close to the sand for our little one to have fun In the sand. The house was perfect for our family of 6. Clean, stocked with all your kitchen needs for a nice bbq or a cooked meal. Beautiful beach and sunsets. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. When we had a question the host quickly responded very professional and caring. Everything was clearly explained and was as advertised. Would definitely stay again once the dates open up for next year..

First family summer vacation

The owners were so great from the start. We wanted a place on the water that our boys could play without having to worry, and this place was exactly what we wanted and more. Our boys are 2 and 3.5 and they loved walking the beach, there is a mini turnup rock with an amazing open sand and shallow water area and they could run free! The house was perfect for our family and was so nice each boy had their own room. Clean, stocked with all your kitchen needs and the owners were always there with a quick response to anything you had questions on. We will be patiently be waiting for dates to open up, so we can book next year!

The house is super cute and SO close to the beach. It’s close to amenities but very peaceful! Owners are very helpful and communicate very well. Loved our stay!!

Fantastic Vacation cottage.

This is our third season renting the blue cottage. It’s perfect and we will continue coming back here. The Sloan family are excellent hosts. Everything you need, clean, comfortable port Austin cottage. The listing is spot on and the beach is right out the back door. Thanks again. See you all next yr.

Fantastic little cottage

My family had a fantastic time at this little cottage. The beach is nice and sandy, it was perfect for making our sand castle! The water was shallow quite a ways out with a mostly sandy bottom, but patches of rock in areas. My 5 YO also loved playing on the swings. Walt's Meat Market was walking distance which was convenient for a few items we forgot. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful as well. We had a great stay and plan to return next summer.!

So peaceful

Cottage is perfect for our family of four plus Grandma. The waterfront and sandy beaches are gorgeous. With water levels, you are able to walk what seems like forever down the beach. However bring water shoes because it’s somewhat rocky in front of the home in the water. The swings in back were a great addition to the home. Beds were comfy, AC kept the place cool, plenty of options in the kitchen for cooking, plenty of firewood, plenty of seating. Front windows leaked from heavy storm but didn’t appear to damage anything. Just glad we noticed and were able to find something to clean it up for the owners (maybe leave extra old towels in the laundry room) they were apologetic about the issue but really it wasn’t any ones fault but Mother Nature. We will be back. Thank you for sharing your home.
