A great older Farmhouse which will give you plenty of space to spread out. Very near to the Institute and wineries and great breakfast spots. Welcoming for Dogs which is why we chose it as we travel with our pets when possible and needed lots of beds for a larger group. There are some nice little additonal things like several old school video game machines that our group enjoyed. (Pac man seated machine) When considering the bed options, note that the couch pullout is not a great option for more than a night as it is not very comforable. Note also that this rental is an older farmhouse and on the edge of woods, so it is great for outdoors enthusiasts but maybe not the right fit for everyone. Naturally you encounter bugs and leaves etc. We enjoyed our time here.

We had a really nice week at this property. The location was beautiful, and the house itself has so much character and charm. It was a peaceful and relaxing spot, and we appreciated how responsive and kind the host was throughout our stay.

Great Place!

We really enjoyed our stay! It had plenty of room and a lot of nice updates! They provided everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. We hope to stay again sometime soon!

Perfect Getaway!

We rented this property for my bachelorette weekend and it was the perfect lowkey getaway! There were plenty of beds and the rooms were very spacious. The property was beautiful to play games, take a walk, and enjoy the firepit. I was very impressed with how clean and new the house felt. Our only issue was that the party bus got stuck in the driveway due to mud, but that was 100% his fault and not on the property owners at all. So be mindful of that! Nearby Johnson Winery had the best vibes, would recommend!

We were in town for our son's wedding at CHQ Barn just down the road. We had 3 generations of family members staying, and everyone was extremely happy with the rooms, the extras (fully equipped kitchen, extra blankets, lots of pillows, to name a few). Extra amenities in the bathrooms (soaps, lotion, etc) were also a nice touch.Our hosts were reached out on multiple occasions to ensure we were having a smooth checkin, visit and checkout. We had no issues, but it was nice to know they were there if we needed them! We found the house very clean and ready to use, with clear directions on both access, heat, and lighting.The spaciousness of the dining room allowed us to host a dinner, a brunch and a breakfast for some additional relatives from the wedding, and the equipped kitchen was great for both cooking and serving them.My kids and their cousins greatly enjoyed hanging out in the large wrap around couch in the back living room, and enjoyed some retro video games on the arcade machines also! While it rained a fair bit during our visit, they all also enjoyed touring the out building over the creek.Would highly recommend for anyone hosting a larger group of friends or family!

Perfect for large groups

We had a group of five guys stay here for a golf trip from Wednesday to Friday, but honestly, the place could comfortably sleep 4 to 5 more people without any issues. One night, we hosted a low country boil and had about 20 people hanging out—guests, locals, everyone—spread out on the porch, inside the house, and even back at the cabin in the woods. It was absolutely perfect for that kind of gathering.Rebecca and Chris were fantastic hosts—super accommodating, easy to work with, and flexible with our plans and schedules, which made everything stress-free. If you’re visiting Chautauqua anytime during the year with a big group, this place is a no-brainer. The location is ideal—close to the CHQ institution, the golf course, and just off Interstate 86.The house had everything we needed: strong internet, great coffee, plenty of storage, and multiple “wings” so those who wanted to turn in early could do so without disturbing the night owls. The flexible accommodations really made a difference and suited our group perfectly.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a spacious, well-equipped spot in the area!

Absolutely beautiful property, perfect for a family getaway. Spent a week in the summer with siblings, parents/grandparents, and cousins and it was so wonderful. Relaxing rural setting, huge yard complete with woods and creek for the children to explore. The additional cabin with fire pit was great - everything was spacious and clean, perfect for a larger group. Chris and Rebecca were wonderful hosts, responsive and helpful for the one issue we experienced (dishwasher needed maintenance, which was quickly fixed). Definitely recommend, we will be glad to come back the next time we travel to the Chautauqua area.

The grounds and house are beautiful! The house was immaculate and had many lovely amenities. Our family reunion was a great success because there were spaces for kickball, campfires, chatting on the large deck, watching sports on t.v., having dinners, hiking, and lying in the hammock. The little cousins loved the room with 4 bunk beds. We were so grateful that we could bring our 17 year old dog, and she loved being there. The owners did not ask us to strip the beds and were very nice to deal with. The Chautauqua area is a beautiful, scenic area with a lot of history. It is not wheelchair accessible, but we recommend this rental with no reservations.
