We are a small, clean, 'Old Florida' business located directly across the street from the Gulf of Mexico.

This unit is comfortable and priced to allow the average person a chance to spend quality vacation time on our beautiful wide sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico! We are located on the free trolley line, and close to bicycle rentals and nature preserves. Please contact us for rental availability.

Great stay

Our stay at Almost Beach Apartments, was amazing! From booking, check in and check out. Lynne met us to get us checked in. The apartment was just what we were looking for. The beach is feet from the front door! We had our own driveway, patio and front porch. Lynne was a wealth of knowledge about the island! The apartment, was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. I enjoyed seeing Lynne out during our stay, talking to her was nice! We will definitely be back for our girls trip next year!

Quaint stay in an unbeatable location!

We had such a memorable experience here. The place is quaint and full of character, and you truly can’t beat the location—it feels like you’re tucked into your own little pocket of nature, surrounded by wildlife. We saw all kinds of birds and creatures during our stay, which made it feel even more special.Given the lush vegetation, it’s important to be mindful about keeping doors shut so nothing sneaks in—but that’s part of the charm of staying close to nature! For the price, it was absolutely amazing.Lynne, the owner who lives on-site, is a gem. She was incredibly kind and welcoming, and we loved learning about her work rescuing special needs birds. You can tell she genuinely cares about the space and the people who visit.If you’re looking for a peaceful place to sleep while you explore the area, this is it. After all, you’re not supposed to spend your whole vacation in your room anyway! We’d definitely stay here again.

AWFUL!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! It’s filthy and gross!!! I’m not picky, but geez…. Sheets were dirty with hair/pubic hair. Place looks like it’s from 1970 and gonna fall over. The shower head is black where the water comes out. Under the mattresses there were plywood boards for a boxspring. My niece stripped all the bedding and took them to a local laundrymat cause they were so gross. Dust EVERYWHERE! Dirt EVERYWHERE! There is a window shaker AC unit in the common living room but NO CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING in the two bedrooms! But fans in bedrooms. I’m sorry, but it’s July In Florida! No AC in bedrooms!!! I wanted to leave that first day but already paid for it. It’s absolutely awful!

Family get away

My family stayed at this apartment during our first get away in years. Everything was fantastic! From the location to the owner; we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We definitely plan on making another trip and staying here again.

Classic Beach Pad

The location was great...right across from a beautiful beach and close to places we liked to go. I use to live there in the area. It's not fancy, but adequate, depending on your desires for a beach vaca. It was like revisiting time actually! Glad I got to know the owner! Thank you Lynn!

Steps to the Sand

Property was as described. Clean sheets, beach chairs available, was to the beach in 30 seconds. Perfect place to stay if you are looking for affordability a few steps from the beach.

Great Location

This was a fun relaxing girls weekend. Lynne the host was very nice. She met us at the property and gave us a quick overview of the home and the area. The house is directly across the street from the beach entrance and a short drive to some beach restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay!

Our host was fantastic and we had a wonderful time in Florida. This property was conveniently located near the beach and the Anna Maria Island trolley stop. We had everything we needed for our stay, including beach equipment and chairs. Parking was also convenient. The listing was just as described and we loved talking with our host Lynn!! It’s a great location and Lynne is a great host!

Clean, attractive, convenient and great location

I've stayed at Almost Beach Apartments quite a few times over the years and plan on many more trips. It's clean, attractive, has everything you could possibly need and at a very reasonable price. It's a short walk to the beach and also located on the trolley line so getting anywhere is easy with or without a car. The owner is on premises and available for any questions and has taken a lot of care to make every stay there special.

Convenient Location

Other than a kind of odd check-in, our stay was excellent. Only steps to the uncrowded beach, 1.5 miles from Fishing Charter marina pick-up. Facilities had all you could need and we had a great week. A comfortable walk to the Ana Maria Island Pier and lots of restaurants & entertainment. Would recommend.

Great winter get-away

We came down for a brief visit and thoroughly enjoyed it. As advertised, it is just steps from the beach: cross the road, walk through the access area (past the strip of condos that are actually on the beach) and you're there. It's a beach property -- the apartment was simple, but clean and well maintained. The owner was helpful and friendly, and gave excellent information about the local points of interest in Bradenton Beach, city of Anna Maria, and other nearby attractions. My wife and I very much appreciated the laid back feel. And the internet worked well when I had to connect back into work.

Relaxing stay

Couldn’t beat the price and more importantly the location. The beach is literally across the street. While the love seat and chair could be updated, it had everything I could need. Lynne was very responsive! I drove my full size truck down and working with Lynne we figured it would fit, albeit a tight fit. Although if you are bringing a full size vehicle I’d recommend backing into the driveway. It’s kind of hard seeing the road backing out. Definitely would stay here again and did I mention the beach was right across the street?

Never stay there again!

This place was so rundown and it was not clean. The land lady said there was a hose by the door to wash your feet before you come in. When we first arrived, I sat on the sofa and it was full of sand, so when was the last time it was cleaned?

Don't expect much

The location is prime and the water pressure is amazing, but that is where all expectations should end. This rental is bare bones wih old linens, dated appliances, and furniture that has seen much better days. The single parking space perfect for a subcompact, so be forewarned if you drive a fullsize truck or SUV.

First Weekend Getaway with my Grandson

Upon arrival I contacted Lynne. We met at the property quite easily and she was always accessible. Although a review of the property and instructions for the stay was fine, may I recommend a list for the guests as we could not recall a few things that she had said, as it is all a little overwhelming upon arrival. A few hours later I experienced a small issue with my grandson and may I say Lynne was a great help to me. The property is in an excellent location for beach access as well as the trolley, which was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you as we had an amazing weekend hopefully he will never forget!

Def an affordable place to stay and close to the beach! The kitchen is very out dated and had hardly any pots and pans to use. The extra blankets had stains. Towels that were given were 1 per person. The parking space was very small and you are secluded because of the bushes and trees which were very pretty but needed to be cut. All of he beach furniture on our side was broke.

Review of our stay.

This property should not be a VRBO property. The outside is a mess. Plants so overgrown you can barely walk to the front door. Parking is in the rear and is very limited. You have to walk through an alley to get to the door. There were bugs under the sink, not very clean. There was only a wall air conditioning unit in the main room.. The bedrooms were not air conditioned. We would never stay there again and most likely would not use VRBO again!
