Wonderful stay at Echo Bay Retreat!

We had a fantastic time staying at Echo Bay Retreat on Orcas Island. The house was comfy and well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It’s located in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood, just steps from a private beach, with beautiful views of the water. The fenced yard was a lovely bonus, perfect for enjoying the outdoors in privacy. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful escape on Orcas Island. We’d happily stay here again!

The house was like you hope your own can be. Everything you can think of was there, new and clean. The views and hot tub were a bonus. Even the birdlife did not disappoint. Thank you for sharing your home.

We enjoyed the view, beach access, and the tennis/pickleball court. Kitchen was very well stocked. The place could use some more cleaning and one of the mattresses sinks in/needs replacement.

We take cleanliness very seriously, so we were disappointed to see this concern. We reached out twice following your stay hoping to learn specifically what areas you felt needed additional attention, but unfortunately didn’t receive a response. Without those details it’s difficult for us to investigate or address a concern with our cleaning team, but we will certainly continue to maintain the high standards we expect for the home. We also appreciate the feedback regarding the mattress and will make sure it is evaluated for comfort and condition. We’re glad you enjoyed so many of the amenities Echo Bay Retreat has to offer and appreciate you choosing to stay with us.

We had a lovely stay. The house had everything we could have needed and looked better than the listing! Loved the beach, where we saw otters, seals, herons, starfish, and more.

The house and view are even more beautiful in person. This house is well stocked and close to eastsound for shops and restaurants. The beach has amazing tide pools and sea life. Perfect place for our family and pup.

We had an excellent time at the house. It was exactly as described in the listing, which was terrific. Great views from the deck and a very convenient location. It worked extremely well for my wife and I, our daughter and her husband and our grandsons who are three and five. Strongly recommend it.

This pristine property is in an excellent location on the island and offers comfortable amenities for a relaxing vacation. The water view is wonderful, the deck is awesome, and the private beach offers peaceful exploration time. We loved exploring the tidepools! Kristen was always responsive and lovely to work with. There was an issue with the hottub, and she had the tech come out in what seemed like 5 minutes! I’m very particular about VRBOs, and this property is top notch!

We loved our stay! The house was clean and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen, products in bathroom, comfortable beds. The views are incredible - sitting on the deck or in the hot tub you have beautiful views over the ocean. And the neighborhood is quiet and pretty, and the private beach perfect for watching the sunset or, as we did also, paddle boarding from what feels like almost home. Kristen was super communicative on any questions we had. 10/10 stay and will return.

I had an incredible stay at this coastal rental! The location was perfect, just steps away from the beach, and everything you need within a short drive. The accommodation itself was cozy, spotless, and equipped with everything I needed. I couldn't have asked for a better getaway. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil island escape!

Ideal home for two couples with a dog. Private, but open setting with a fenced yard. We loved hanging out on the deck looking at the view, while listening to a variety of birds. Excellent, landscaping! The outside of the house was beautiful. The inside was clean and had everything we needed. The only negative is that the third bedroom is quite small. It’s okay for one adult, but too small if you have three adult couples. It’s a very nice rental for the right number of guests.

Exceptional property. Everything you could need in the kitchen, laundry, living areas and bedrooms. Wonderful views from the expansive deck and a large fenced yard great for kids or dogs. The home is located in a very quiet neighborhood with a nearby rocky beach, but still just a few minutes to town. Communication with the host was always prompt and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The view is spectacular!!!The house was cozy and warm. The family enjoyed the hot tub- plenty of robes and of towels provided.The yard was fenced for the dog. It was an easy walk to the beach.Kristen was very responsive!

My mom and I had the best time during our quick getaway to Orcas. Much of what drew us to this house was the amenities, convenient location to everything we wanted to do, the cost for a 3 bdrm/2 bath/hot tub/laundry/big yard etc was a great deal. Upon arrival, everything exceeded our expectations and Kristen was a very thoughtful and responsive host. We were able to secure an 1 hour early check in and check out as we kept in touch with Kristen and followed her instructions that were well laid out. I highly recommend a rental car through Orcas Island rentals as Lyft/Uber is in short supply, and a local taxi is great but you’d have to plan in advance. Walking to and from the downtown area is feasible/safe, but the house is down a private road that’s not paved nor lit at night. The neighborhood is quiet and super cute. Note the house is the first one on the left and it’s a 5 minute walk to the private beach that’s small (with all smooth rocks) but it has charm. I’d stay here again and would have 6-7 total guests as it’s spacious and a comfortable layout. Also I suggest reading through the whole guidebook as it’s an easy read and very helpful! Kristen has a straightforward check out process which was nice as I’ve experienced complicated instructions with other rentals. Many thanks, Kristen!

We loved everything about this house! The location is convenient, it was clean, it had everything we needed and extra little touches that show the owner truly cares, the view and hot tub were wonderful, and the neighborhood was peaceful. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer!
