Beautiful, Spacious Antique Farmhouse Steps to Private Beach

Beautiful, historic 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom 3050+sq ft antique farmhouse built as an extension of the original Nobscussett Hotel in 1888. Updated along the way, though retaining many remaining original features, such as a wonderful wrap-around porch which extends 3/4 the way around the house, tall ceilings and stained glass windows. The expected features of a modern rental are present: Cable television/smart tv, Wifi, Air conditioning in each bedroom, outdoor showers. Off season rentals may be available as well. Sleeps 14 comfortably. The private beach is along the same stretch of beach as Mayflower beach, but far less crowded.

Everything about this home, property and host was excellent. The property was very clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of living space for our family of 8 adults and 5 children. The private beach is perfect for families - and a very short walk to get there. We would definitely love to return!

We had the best stay at this beautiful East Dennis home with our family & friends. The location is truly a 10 out of 10. Being able to walk to gorgeous Mayflower Beach and enjoy the incredible sunsets was such a treat.The house is huge, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. Our favorite feature was the amazing wraparound porch, which was the perfect spot for morning coffee, evening cocktails, and spending time together after the beach. It was everything we could have hoped for in a Cape Cod getaway, and we made so many wonderful memories. We would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing property with so much history and charm. The host Bryan is awesome and a fast communicator. The beach is gorgeous and is steps away from the house- we couldn’t have asked for a better place!

This home was wonderful. My family (8 adults and 6 children ranging 8 mo - 14 years) stayed here for a week. The beach was extremely close (3 min walk) and uncrowded. The wrap around porch and spacious yard were great. We ate every meal outside on the porch, played cornhole, tossed football and frisbee, and enjoyed fires most nights in the fire pit. The house was well stocked with beach chairs and games and everything you could need for the kitchen. The house is very charming and has tons of character. The location is conveniently situated on the cape to be a great jumping off point for P-town, Chatham, and ferries/boats for whale watching or Martha’s Vineyard. Communication with the host was seamless prior to and during our stay. My family had a wonderful time and we would definitely stay again.

The house was the perfect location, only a 3 minute walk down to Mayflower Beach. Big enough to comfortably fit our extended family of 8 adults and 6 kiddos. The property owner was very responsive and helpful. We would book again!

Family Summer Getaway

Amazing location - couldn't beat the proximity to the private beach. The house is a great layout if you have multiple families. You cannot beat the wrap around porch!

Perfect family vacation spot

This home perfectly accommodates our large extended family. The location is close to a wonderful beach and has wonderful outdoor spaces for hanging out. The house is quirky but has everything you need. This was our 2nd stay in this house and we look forward to returning again.

Beautiful home and property!!

We loved the home and the proximity to the beach. Bryan was very helpful and the check-in process went smoothly. The house has plenty of room for everyone and the front porch was our favorite gathering spot! The kitchen is well-stocked and we loved the coffee bar in the morning. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

Beach vacation

We had a large group of 8 adults and 7 kids between 6 months and 4. The location of this house is perfect when doing a beach trip with kids as mayflower beach is amazing for kids to explore and it’s easy to walk back to the house for nap time. Overall the property was beautiful and we had a great time.

Wonderful beach week

Terrific stay in Dennis could not ask for a better location! Perfect for our family and small kids. Very well equipped kitchen. Air conditioning was a plus but there was great ventilation and most nights windows sufficed at night even at the end of August. Great communication from host. Hope to go back!

Great Family reunion house

We had our family's bi-annual reunion in this house - 8 adults, 6 children. It was great for that... lots of room, spacious rooms, responsive manager. Only caution was that the beach access required a 45 steep staircase down to the beach... a problem for some elder members.

Perfect launching point for fun, beach, Cape adventures and relaxation!

Knew we’d picked the right place when my niece and nephew had started building a train set from the toy closet before we’d even unloaded the cars. Bryan has thought of everything and has a quick and thoughtful answer to any question or request. Great to have the private beach gate/stairs but a needed bonus that just a 5min walk away was a more accessible ramp, made for easier kayak launching. Enjoyed the whole week and will be looking for an excuse to gather the family again soon to enjoy the property!

Great space for our extended family

Our family has been traveling to this part of the cape for many years. We were looking for more space for a larger group this year and this fit for us ! We had two couples and 5 other adults and had sleeping space for everyone. There are also two large living rooms, a big kitchen and tons of space on the wrap around porch - many coffees enjoyed. The walk to the private beach is wonderful to have. Obviously as an 1888 property the house has that type of charm and vibe but still had modern amenities to make it comfortable

RETURN TO ROOTS

This house was a return to childhood for Lin as she had grown up in Dennis in the 40's and 50's and enjoyed church activities at this property often. Everything we could have needed or wanted was available and everything worked. Plenty of hot water for showers and dishes and the wrap-around porch...just delightful for dining or just watching the world go by. Thank you, Bryan!

Great stay near the beach

This house worked out so well for our family and we hope to return again. Location was fantastic, and easy and safe walk to the beach. The beach had a good amount of space unlike many other HOA beaches in Dennis. We loved the wraparound porch and yard area and that is where the kids spent most of their time. The layout worked out very well for our extended family; everyone had their own space. The home was very nice and pretty much as advertised; I wouldn't call it a modern luxury home but it isn't a rundown rental either. The house was well maintained and we were very comfortable.

2nd times around

Location wonderful. Block to stairs to beach. Well maintained (new) this year. Wrap around porches should be mandatory! Love it. Well stocked and easy kitchen to manage. Large rooms even bathrooms. AC in bedrooms. Great neighborhood mix. Close to stores, markets, nurseries, farms, thrift shops,museums and hikes. Would come here always.

Magical week in beautiful historic home

Our family of 13 had the most wonderful week in this spacious home, a one block walk from a private beach. We spent almost every afternoon at the beach and would walk down after dinner every night to catch the sunset before the little ones bedtime. The kitchen had everything we needed, the yard was amazing, we loved making s’mores at the fire pit, the wrap around porch was a dream, and there was so much space for our family we sometimes were searching for people. Any question we had was quickly answered by the wonderful host. The house is historic, beautiful, and old so while not as sparkling as a new build we much preferred the character, unique qualities, and spaciousness this gorgeous home provided. We truly had the best family vacation ever and hope to return to this house again someday!
