Sandtrap is located less than half mile to private beach in historic Hyannis Park! This fully renovated Cape Ranch style home has all of the amenities you will need for a perfect Cape Cod vacation! Beaches, Marina, Ferry Terminals, Golfing, Downtown Shopping, Restaurants all within minutes away. Play mini golf and have an ice cream at Putter's Paradise just 50 yards away after a day of fun in the sun at the beach. Jump on the Ferry to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard for a day trip! Or, get on a fishing charter, go whale watching, kayak on Bass River or one of our many other launchings, bike the Cape Cod Rail Trail, and you won't want to miss out on a harbor cruise and see the Kennedy Compound as well as other famous homes along the Hyannis Port Harbor. Venture down to Truro Winery and Provincetown to take in more of our treasured National Seashore and wonderful boutique shopping!

Empty Nester Trip

This property was perfect. It was clean and well stocked with anything we could need. It was convenient to everything. We enjoyed relaxing in the backyard around the fire pit with our friends. Thank you Mary for your hospitality!

Great Cape Cottage Close to it All!

Mary’s house was a wonderful and spacious option for us and our little one this summer. We were close to everything we wanted to do in Chatham, Harwich, and Dennis, as well as a 5 minute drive from the ferries to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Mary also shared out some local spots that we hadn’t been to before, and enhanced our trip. Having come up to the Cape every summer for nearly a decade now, I can say that Mary’s place is one of the best spots we’ve found (and the beds are super comfortable, too!). We hope to return again next year.

Wonderful Cape Cod Getaway!

Mary was a wonderful host! She was responsive and the house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was in a great location to venture out to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard and was a quick ride to Chatham and Provincetown. Also, the beach down the road was gorgeous and convenient. Loved loved the stay!!

Very clean and cute place to stay

This was a very clean and cute place to stay. It is very comfortable and has everything you would need or want from everything in the kitchen if you want to cook in or have a cookout to everything in the bathroom that you would need. Very quiet neighborhood. The owner is very friendly and very helpful with information for the area and for Martha’s Vineyard. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my family and friends. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Cape Cod Gem

Sand Trap is a beautiful, well appointed and convenient home for your Cape Cod visit! The interior was bright, colorful and so clean! So many thoughtful amenities - beach chairs, beach cooler, well stocked kitchen - you name it- Mary thought of it! We had the most wonderful time with our adult children and their girlfriends. Convenient to The ferry and downtown Hyannis!! We will be back!! Mary was very responsive as well with lots a local recommendations.

Great stay

Mary’s house was fantastic and in a great location. The house is very cheery and the backyard is divine to sit in. Mary was very communicative and check-in was easy. She was also very helpful with giving feedback as to where to go.

The perfect girls weekend

We absolutely loved our short stay at the Sandtrap cottage. The house had everything we needed in a fantastic location. Mary was extremely helpful and welcoming. We were sad to leave and hope to make it back in the future!

Perfect home away from home

The Sandtrap was a perfect home away from home for us during our son’s baseball tournament. From the moment we walked in the door we felt so relaxed and comfortable. The Sandtrap is beautifully decorated, immaculate, and has all of the comforts of home and much more. We loved the local mini golf and ice cream right up the road and the central location close to Hyannis Main Street and many local beaches. Mary was a wonderful host and truely thought of everything. We look forward to a return visit!

Sand trap in July

We booked Sandtrap for our annual Cape Cod family vacation for the week of July 4th. The house was great and clean and spacious for 4 adults (2 full bathrooms were a plus since we are used to sharing 1 full bathroom and an outdoor shower). Mary was easy to communicate with if there was a question. She lives in a small separate cottage on the same property but we never crossed paths. The house had everything you would need inside and out and even for the beach (beach towels, chairs, coolers). The location was perfect. We tend to like to venture all over the Cape when we are there so the house was literally right around the corner from rte. 28. It’s about a 3/4 mile walk to the end of the dead end street which brings you to a small beach. We had zero issues or complaints while staying here and would definitely recommend to others. Thank you, Mary, for a memorable stay!

Beautiful home, great location

This home is beautiful and perfectly located within walking distance of a beach and mini golf. The home was one of the cleanest I’ve stayed at with beautiful decor or thoughtful touches. Communication with the host was easy and responses were prompt. I would highly recommend.

Great Spot!

Sand trap was a great location, nicely updated and clean. 15 min walk to the beach, and easily can walk to restaurants (ice cream and mini golf a min walk away). Mary was very responsive, and she stays on the property. We had two adult couples, setup was okay but the second bed is a tight squeeze (would be harder for older adults to get in and out). Great set up for kids though. Decor is nice but lots of breakables and notes, just had to be careful.

Cape Cod Girls Trip

First, the host, Mary, is incredibly friendly, detail oriented, and very responsive! There were notes and thoughtful touches throughout the house. Instructions very clear and easy to follow. Questions answered quickly! As for the house, it was clean and our small group loved the color scheme and decorative accents. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, glassware, keurig and brew coffee pot, etc. The location on the mid cape area made it easy to get to the ferry for Martha’s Vineyard and the dock for a whale watching excursion. A drive to the Outer Cape to Nauset, Truro Vineyard, and Provincetown was an easily doable day trip from the house. Thanks Mary for a great stay for our girlfriend getaway!

Pretty Cottage in W Yarmouth

Well stocked kitchen in both appliances and supplies. Everything for the beach - chairs and towels which we might have used had there not been a hurricane. Lovely main bathroom with roomy shower (one of three). Easy to check in and out. Everything wee needed was there. After a steamy week in New York we could have used a washing machine. Three of us had a lovely time.

Quick getaway

Loved the house - super clean. Comfortable beds. Thermostat locked but owner was very responsive to let us adjust it. Location was tough with lots of traffic.

Great BFF trip

The cottage was very welcoming and cozy. We had everything we needed for relaxed evenings after days of sightseeing and shopping. Convenient to everything we wanted to do. Would definitely enjoy staying again next year.

Charming beach house

Great location for ferries, restaurants and local points of interest. This house is so cute, cozy and well-appointed you don't really need to go anywhere else to have a relaxing vacation. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay welcoming and enjoyable. The travel brochures were informative to see what is available in the area. We were only there 4 days/nights and were busy with trips to Nantucket and Provincetown, kayaking on the Bass River and enjoying the nearby beach. It was also fun to walk over to the mini golf course, play a round and have their fabulous ice cream concoctions. Treat yourself to the ice cream in the mason jar!

Outstanding! Beautiful Home!

Mary’s home is just wonderful! It is beautifully decorated, immaculate and has everything needed for a relaxing visit to the Cape! Kitchen is fully stocked with all we could possibly need and beds are very comfy. There are outdoor grills, picnic table, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, rinsing shower, large private rear yard with ample seating and gorgeous flower gardens. The home is simply meticulous inside and out! I found her guest book, notes and the local attractions and restaurant information very helpful! The neighborhood beach is just a short walk away and not overcrowded. There is mini golf and ice cream within a few yards as well as a barista coffee shop and a few restaurants! Location is fantastic with shopping, Marina and golf courses within a short distance. Mary is an amazing host and was very responsive! She went out of her way to make sure my stay was perfect. I’ll definitely be back again!

Mary’s house was extremely clean and had everything that we needed. We appreciated all of the supplies provided that made our stay easy and convenient. It was a bit hard to fully relaxed as there were so many rules and do’s/dont’s.

Comfortable, very clean Cape Cod escape!

Four adults stayed very comfortably in this beautiful home. We loved this house as a base for exploring all of Cape Cod! The location allowed us access to basically anywhere we wanted to travel in a short amount of time. The host was very responsive and helpful with questions we had! The house was the most clean home we have ever rented. We loved our stay at this home.

Awesome Place!

This property was wonderful! Super clean and beautifully decorated. Has lots of space! The back yard and grilling area is also very peaceful. The kitchen is extremely well appointed and matches the decor so nicely. Beds are comfortable did I mention how clean and beautifully decorated? I was very impressed and we have stayed in many VRBO homes. The beach is close to the house and chairs, coolers, towels and umbrella are there to borrow. The beach is clean and not crowded. We enjoyed going down there. Hyannis is very close to do some shopping, dining and attend free concerts in the parks there. We took advantage of the Cape Cod Rail Trail for lots of exploring and exercise. Each section we decided to visit was a very quick car ride to start. Mary was very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely return! Great vacation!!

Lovely, clean home in perfect location

Highly recommend this property. Mary’s home is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The backyard and garden are lovely and so peaceful. Our family of 6 (3 generations including an infant and 5 year old) fit very comfortably in the home which was incredibly well stocked. It is in a prime location on the border of Hyannis and West Yarmouth and walking distance to a private bay beach (perfect for kids) at the bottom of the street. Mary was impressively responsive and thoughtful. We will definitely be back!

From just North of Boston, I am a true "Washashore" here on Cape Cod. I traveled for 30 plus years all over the US and many other places for business, but my heart still flies lighter once I cross the Sagamore Bridge onto Cape Cod. Sandtrap was once my "go to" second home, but now is my year-round landing spot! I am outgoing and enjoy meeting new people, but also mindful of my guests' privacy as I expect for myself. I am committed to providing the best visits for all of my guests and strive to address any need or concerns quickly!
