Perfect for two families (or twoand grandparents) with large living and dining spaces, large deck off the main house, firepit and expansive sun deck and lower dock for water activities. (Sleeps up to 18 but no more than 12 adults as we do not allow adults on top bunk). Huge chef's kitchen with gourmet stove, large pantry and tons of counter space for everyone to bring their favorite snacks to share for the week. Large dining table seats 10 with 3 bar stools and additional outdoor dining off main level has a table for 6 and a grill. Main floor primary bedroom has views of the water and large private bathroom. Below there are two bedrooms, each having a queen and two sets of bunk beds and two full bathrooms. Additional sleeping on murphy bed in basement game room and upstairs on pull out couchl. Air hockey table in game room and a table for cards and games! Outside at the house there is a firepit and plenty of air chairs to take in the views. Down at the water, enjoy huge sun deck & lower dock w/ 15ft deep water perfect for swimming & jumping. Kayak, SUP's, swim dock, water bench, grill, dock fridge, fishing, & boat launch nearby. Starlink internet. Sheets provided but not lake or bathroom towels

Great lake vacation

The Remedy was a great place and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!The house is beautifully decorated and large enough for 4 adults and 4 teenage boys. Everyone had their space to hang out inside. The kitchen is well stocked and having dedicated pantry space for the week was a big plus. Also having 3 full baths plus a half bath was nice because who wants to share a bathroom with 4 teenage boys?The covered deck is the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening happy hours. We made use of the gas grill a few nights for dinners having it plumbed to the natural gas line was a perk - no having to worry about running out of propane!The highlight of the house was the dock! We spent our full day down on the dock every day. There was ample room for fishing (caught some 11lb catfish!!), relaxing, and sunbathing. We grilled on the top deck for lunch a few days. Having that as an option was incredible! We didn't sit on the top deck very often because the sun was just a little strong and there isn't much shade up there. The kids enjoyed jumping from the top deck though. The 14 foot water level made for some fun cannonball contests! We also made excellent use of the refrigerator on the dock. We rented a boat for a few days and docking it was a easy with a perfect spot for tying off. Communication with Carrie was easy and quick. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay at The Remedy again in a heartbeat!

Our visit to Lake Gaston was fantastic thanks to Carrie and her lovely home. There was plenty of space and amenities for everyone. Even with the not perfect weather we were able to enjoy plenty of fishing, swimming and boating. Highly recommend staying here!

Home is lovely and was very clean. Kitchen is very well stocked! Communication with owner was above and beyond. The lake dock/deck is wonderful. There is a full size refrigerator on the dock which is so helpful in keeping water and Gatorade cold. There was a broken seat in one of the kayak and a couple of the paddle boards are missing fins, which was disappointing but not a deal breaker. The only surprising thing was that we were required to bring our own bath and lake towels. This was not mentioned on the property listing, but the owner communicated with me about a week prior to arrival about this need. A washer and dryer are available but I didn’t realize I needed to bring my detergent until it was too late. I would still stay here again as our family loved the house and the lake.

We have been coming to Lake Gaston with extended family for 12 years. I grew up on Lake Erie so big water views are important to me and we like having water deep enough to jump and play without touching the bottom. Even though we are on the main lake, this section isn't super busy so we don't get terrible waves but there is movement (which is good) and things to look at (which is fun). We are grateful for this home and the time it provides our family and hope you'll enjoy it as well.

It feels like is nearby store within 10 min to get essentials, grocery is 20 but you don't feel pulled to go and "do" a bunch here so the emphasis is spending time with everyone you came to the lake with.
