We had a great girls weekend away. Weather and foliage were perfect and spending time together can't be beat. Enjoyed the spacious deck for breakfast and built an evening fire near the water edge making memories.

very relaxing

It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay for our family!! Just wish the paddle boat worked and the lake wasn't so weedy and full of snapping turtles. Overall we had a great time!!

Fun girls weekend

Loved this cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and walking trails around the property. Beautiful area.

Upon arrival we noticed that the steps to the cabin were not firm, some were spongy & a few boards were not secure. There were plants growing out of the eave troughs & missing pieces of siding on multiple sides of the cabin. The hard floors were sticky, walls stained from dirty hands, etc, holes in screens left bugs in, broken window blinds on numerous windows, dust buildup on fake plants, ceiling fans, lamp shades, dust webs on walls, unvacuumed areas under the coffee & end tables, the icemaker in the refrigerator leaked on the floor (reported to owner & was taken care of). Both of the bathroom fan/lights were built up with dust & dirt, baseboards were dirty, lower-level bathroom faucet pulled out from the tub wall. There is a wobbly, steep spiral staircase (that is not shown in the advertisement photos) to the lower level that had a number of broken spindles. The lower level has strong musty smell, the dehumidifier running on the lower level is built up with mold, carpets are matted and smell, bedding (comforters & pillows) need to be laundered as they smelled very strongly of dirty body odor. There are stains on the wall next to the toilet in the lower level. The main floor bathroom had a brown cord plugged in that ran down the wall & disappeared behind the baseboard, it didn't run anything in the bathroom. The laundry closet doors were stained; the lint filter of the dryer was packed with lint. I do not recommend staying here.

Great place to stay

The house and outside property where clean. Everything worked the way it should. It was a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The lake was great, the beaches were clean, the beds were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this location to a friend and I have a feeling we will be back!

Fun place to get away, but not too far away

The property was spacious enough for a gathering of 3 different families (10 people). It’s nice and quiet, but when we needed things we’re just a few minutes away from town.

Birch Lake Cabin

Enjoyed our stay at "The Haven" cabin. Grandkids enjoyed paddle boat and row boat on the lake. Did not swim in the lake as it seems more suitable to a fishing lake, rather than swimming.

Relaxing Weekend

This property is just secluded enough to allow for a no-distraction weekend. It was a lovely setting to meet with family from Minnesota.

A great family vacation spot

We loved our stay here! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The house was great for our family vacation. We really enjoyed the boats provided and hanging out on the deck and in the living room. We made use of the grill, too! The property has some short walking trails that were a fun activity too. Thanks so much!!

The Haven cabin was an amazing location for a reunion. The space was clean, in a beautiful setting, and had multiple activities to enjoy. The small lake was nice though not really suitable for swimming due to weeds/algae. The cabin itself is spacious and well equipped. However, the inside spiral staircase to the lower level would be treacherous for anyone with limited mobility or the elderly.

We enjoyed our stay at the haven. The hotub and fishing on the private pond in the row boat was our favorite things to do during our stay. We will be back! Thank you.
