It was a very nice property with a very beautiful view of the ocean. The beds are extremely comfortable.

Beautiful getaway

Home was exactly as pictured, very spacious! The back bedroom off the dining area has THE BEST view! And bonus, there was a circus in town for our trip! Pete was very nice and our communication was perfect! Will most definitely be staying here in the future if we come back to Hull!

Check-in was okay. The key keeper was sticking at first but loosened up as we used it.The location was good for us. We could walk everywhere we needed to go, but the hills could be challenging for some.Locking the front door is cumbersome.Music from other tenants is audible and is apparently used as a daily alarm, often before sunrise.The carpet throughout is matted and dirty and old.The decor, fixtures, furniture, furnishings and appliances are a mishmash. The interior reminded me of a camp that my friend and I built under his dad's garage when we were about 14 years old; functional but funky.We encountered a mouse in the kitchen and reported this to the owner. He had mouse traps sent to us by Door Dash.The bed in the main bedroom was clean. There was a harmless bug which I call a "silverfish" in the bathtub. I flushed it in the toilet.The kitchen ceiling is ready to cave in. The cookware is outdated. I was reluctant to prepare any meals with it. The kitchen, like the rest of the interior of the house, is long overdue for a deep clean.The refrigerator had several leftover condiments in the door and eggs on a shelf. The ice maker didn't work. The freezer didn't keep ice cream frozen. Overall, we were happy to find a place to stay on short notice (it was the only property listed for our dates). It is competitively priced with the hotel nearby but it would likely not be our first choice in the future. For a last minute reservation, like they say, it is what it is.

This could be a nice place to stay but is in need of some major upgrades. The pictures are very deceiving. In one bedroom there was an outlet that had a large orange extension cord that ran across the room behind the bed then plugged into an 8 prong outlet that was behind the bedside table laying on the radiant heater. There are three glass sliding doors that are blocked off with vinyl fencing. The deck listed for use is attached to the apartment downstairs that has year round tenants. The fire place is not sealed (see pictures). The carpet looked to be in need of a deep clean and was pilling. In the bedroom with the couch, behind the couch there is baseboard heat that does not have a cover. In one of the front bedrooms the smoke detector was not in place and sitting on a table with a missing battery. See pictures below of major concerns. The communication with the owner was not the greatest. I had to reach out an hour prior to check in to get the code for the house. We were not provided any checkout instructions and they were not responsive when I asked them the morning of checkout what was expected.

Thank you for your stay it woukd be helpfull if the guest would contact the owner . The guest never had a concern while staying and had my number and declined to call me . This condio has many great reviews this one not justified . Bad guest communications.

Filthy!

House was filthy and a dump! Beautiful location! Walking distance to the beach so I want to give a good review but the whole place was gross! Washer and dryer barely worked and the dishwasher didn't work, the fridge stunk, and spare sheets were thrown on the floor of the closet and had blood stains! Clearly they had not been washed. The floor and couch just felt so grungy. The showers didn't drain. We also didn't have enough towels! Not even enough to cover all our guests (which the number was listed on the booking) but definitely not enough for a beachfront property! We had to go buy towels. Would be a great stay just needs to seriously be disinfected, add more towels. Fix the appliance and several safety hazards throughout the house.

Vintage Beach Cottage – Great Location, Needs Updating

Pros:Excellent location — just a 5-minute walk to the beach.Cons:According to Zillow.com, the property was built in 1930, and it appears the last major renovation may have been over 20 years ago.The overall condition of the home is quite worn.The air conditioning units are over a decade old and extremely loud. I had to sleep in a different room because the noise from the AC in the right-hand bedroom was too disruptive.The carpet is noticeably old and stained in several areas.The bottom of the kitchen drying rack is missing, causing water to drip onto the floor.The furniture is mismatched, with visible wear and tear on most pieces.Appliances are outdated, including a rusty refrigerator and fragile utensils that feel like they could break easily.I also noticed the presence of insects, including spiders.The washer and dryer are old; the dryer in particular does not stop automatically when clothes are dry, which poses a potential safety hazard.I have stayed in many Airbnb and VRBO properties across Europe and the U.S., and unfortunately, this listing stands out as one in desperate need of a complete remodel and updated appliances. It did not provide the comfort, cleanliness, or care that guests should expect.When I contacted VRBO to explore alternative accommodations, the property manager called me at midnight to say that previous guests hadn’t complained. However, the listing had no reviews at the time of my booking — a risk I now regret taking.

Great access to beach. Host was helpful with parking situation. Didn’t realize it was a shared deck but that was fine. Great stay.

Great location at a good price. Plenty of room. Dishwasher didn't work, needs replaced. Cobwebs in 3 of the bedrooms. Would i recommend to others? Absolutely. Easy drive into Boston or easy access to several forms of mass transit. Awesome view of the ocean every day. And can't beat the price on a 4 bedroom 2 bath rental
