Dear Mo and company, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. Because the cabin is located directly in the woods, insects are unfortunately part of the environment and can occasionally make their way inside despite our regular pest-control treatments. We also provide pest spray inside the cabin for guests to use when needed. That said, we will make sure the area above the shower is addressed, as dead bugs should have been removed during cleaning. Regarding the grill, we would like to clarify that it was not dirty, but does have visible rust from being exposed to the outdoor elements. We understand how that may have appeared and will consider replacing the grill. The hot tub is an inflatable-style hot tub and is accurately represented in our listing photos. Our welcome guide also specifically explains that the hot tub can take up to four hours to reach the desired temperature, so guests should allow adequate time for it to fully heat. We will, however, continue to make sure the unit is functioning and heating properly. We also appreciate the feedback regarding the bathroom door and will have it inspected and repaired to improve both its operation and privacy. We apologize for the minor inconveniences you experienced. We take the cleanliness and upkeep of our cabin seriously and will address the items within our control, while also recognizing that insects and other elements of nature can be difficult to completely eliminate when staying in a cabin surrounded by woods. Kacey, Thank you for your feedback, and we're glad you enjoyed the privacy and space the home offers compared to a hotel. Regarding the hot tub, we do ask each departing guest to leave it at the recommended temperature, as outlined in both the Welcome Guide emailed prior to arrival and the Welcome Book located in the home. This helps ensure it's ready for the next guests. Unfortunately, in this instance, the previous guest did not follow those instructions which resulted in a delayed time for your enjoyment in the hot tub. However, it is still outlined in the welcome guide that at least four hours is required for the hot tub to reach preferred temperatures. For safety and maintenance reasons, our housekeepers do not routinely adjust the hot tub's operating settings between guests unless there is a reported issue. We responded promptly with an explanation and guidance once you reached out. While we're sorry this impacted your experience, it's disappointing that this single issue resulted in a 4 out of 10 review, especially considering the home has consistently earned 10/10 reviews from previous guests.
