The house was older but very clean and walking distance to restaurants etc. we were able to walk to the meeting place for our train transfer that took us to our cruise. Bob was very responsive and timely in his communication.

Great stay for our group before leaving for an Alaskan cruise. Close enough to walk to downtown Anchorage but far enough to feel quiet!

Bob was there working in the yard when we drove up, so checking in was a breeze. The house is super clean with everything you could want. There were 8 of us, so we enjoyed the 5 bedrooms! All the beds were super comfy and clean. We especially loved the location to downtown so we wouldn’t have to uber in. For a large group, you can’t go wrong!

Bob was welcoming, helpful, and very accommodating to our team. The whole was beautiful and a cozy stay. Would love to stay here again.

There was difficulties accessing as the door was looked. I had to reach out to the host to unlock with a key which he was reachable and responded right away. The front entrance was not shoveled so we went though the back door. There was pots which was good but did not have cooking spoons so we had to go out and bring some. He did provide a late check out which helped since we had Christmas dinner there and had much to take with us. The place was not kids friendly in that the tabletop is not secure and easily moved on the base as well as the shelves, a child picked up a book and the shelve fell, it had three of the pegs so it is missing one. I opened the curtain to the shower downstairs and the curtain fell, the rod was not a tension rod so I had no way to reattach it. Finally, It would have been nice to have more seating in the living room. We selected the place for the amount of beds and the second kitchen which is a plus when you're preparing a holiday meal.

This home met our needs for our two nights in Anchorage. It had enough room for our family of 10 and was conveniently located to everything we needed to go to. The bedrooms were comfortable and basic. The kitchen was large with enough dishes for everything we needed. If you plan on cooking, bring your own spices and condiments. There are three bedrooms in the bathroom on the main floor and then another bathroom and two bedrooms on the lower floor, giving us room to spread out.

We loved that the house was so convenient to downtown and things to see! We walked to the trolley tour (which is a must-do!!), and then walked all around downtown several times. The house is roomy and wonderful, and Bob was friendly and helpful!

Overall, this was a great place to stay if you’re looking for a home within walking distance of downtown. The park directly across the street was an added bonus and made the location even more enjoyable.There was plenty of room for our group of eight. Five of us slept comfortably on the main floor, while three stayed in the basement. The main floor has a full kitchen, and the basement is set up like a separate apartment with its own kitchen, which was very convenient.One thing to note is that the main floor bedrooms do not have blackout curtains, so eye masks were very helpful for sleeping. The basement was much darker, with only a small amount of light coming through the windows, which we easily blocked with a pillow.The yard appeared to be a bit overgrown, as though it hadn’t been maintained since spring, but the house itself met our needs well for our two-day stay.We took an Uber from the airport to the house and another from the house to the train station. Everything else we wanted to do was within walking distance.The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.
