The property was just as described. Although the house appears larger in the photos, it was very welcoming and cozy. The host was kind and very accommodating. I would definitely stay again.

My family and I had a wonderful day at this home. There was a lot to do for our little kids and plenty of space for us. The fenced in backyard was a huge plus and we stayed out there for hours. Any questions we had the host was able to respond to very quickly and was always helpful and kind.

The house was comfortable and conveniently located. We had everything we needed, and had no problems with check in or check out. The backyard is in need of some upkeep, and the house overall could use a good deep cleaning. Still a 5 star experience as these are small details.

Great home for our family to stay in the area visiting friends. Fully equipped kitchen, nicely decorated. Owners reached out to ensure there were no issues with our stay. Would definitely stay again!

The house was a very welcoming place, very clean and many extra essentials in the bathrooms. The fenced backyard was nice for my dogs. I did some cooking and had everything but some hot pads. The host was checked on me to see if I had everything I needed. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and close to restaurants and shopping. I would stay here again! :)to my needs.

We had a great stay! The home is in a quiet neighborhood and was close to where we needed to be. We could easily come and go. The home was large enough to accommodate the needs of each of our family members. Part of our family had a baby so they used the basement bedroom to keep the baby's cries from waking the rest of the family. Another had a dog that they needed to bring and the accommodations were pet friendly. We also had a single family member so she had a choice of beds in the "kids" room. We had a very comfortable bed in a large room with a walk in closet and a big bath. Everything was perfect!

Had a great time with family, the Vrbo worked great for location. Very homey and nice. Came with everything you need for a normal week stay. Very clean and quiet.

The house looked like the pictures online had nice kitchen amenities but was lacking a few coffee mugs but everything went smoothly!

We got started off a little rough. Maybe it was partly my fault for waiting until one (1) hour before we were allowed to check-in, but I realized we had not received the door code. I combed all the previous emails to see if I missed it somewhere, but it was no where to be found. A message to the property owner/manager went unanswered for 30-40 minutes, so we decided to drive to the house and wait on the porch. After a couple phone calls, we were finally able to get in contact with the owner/manager and were provided with the entry codes. The house was nice, but for 750 per night, I felt it was overpriced. There were small cleanliness things that were a turnoff. From small stains on drapes, to dusty, partially unswept floors, to dirty dishes in the cupboard, to coffee grounds still in the coffee marker and a dirty pot, it just had an unkempt feel about it. General maintenance things like a toilet on the main floor that didn't flush, to a loose shower handle (loose to the point that I legit thought it was going to fall off in my hand), the house just needs more upkeep in general. The pictures in the listing are very nice, but there are things that needed fixed (especially when charging 700 per night). It was a bummer that the play equipment in the backyard was completely unusable due to a creek running through the yard. Would need MAJOR landscaping to correct it - it was just a bummer. Overall, I'd give it 3.5 stars. Not a BAD experience; just pricy for what you get.

This property is exactly as described and pictured. Great location in a good neighborhood. Code lock works well and we found everything in operational order. The kitchen has both 12 cup filter and kcup coffee maker and supplies! The refrigerator size and seating for eating is very ample. We enjoyed the covered deck with table and chairs outside. There are lots of different birds in the area, very cool. The garage was very clean as we used it to house and charge our bikes. We only needed the upstairs bedrooms and the beds were comfortable with nice linens. I liked the walk-in closet w/ natural light! All the bathrooms were clean and supplied w/good products. Lots of nice little touches to make your stay free special and welcoming.

Wonderful house, even better host!

Our family stayed here for a family wedding. As we were all coming from out of state, we were happy to have a place we could all be together (and save money by cooking instead of eating all our meals out). The layout of the house was perfect for us (no bedrooms on the main floor, one downstairs, and 3 upstairs). Our family took the "kids" room- my 5 & 8 year olds LOVED the bunkbeds! It's never been so easy to get them to sleep!One thing the house was missing was a can opener (we know how it is, they break, a guest walks off with it, etc). I sent Vern a message to see if it might be somewhere else. When we confirmed there was none, Vern dropped one off at the house with-in probably 30 minutes. I've never stayed anywhere where the host was so on top of my messages. We were allowed to check out an hour late, which was so helpful for my parents.The backyard is fully fenced & great for my parents' dog, and my kids absolutely had a blast on the playset. It was hard to get them inside!If you ever find a reason to go to Ankeny, I cannot stress enough how much you should stay here!

When we first got there at 4 pm they were still cleaning the property so we had to wait in the driveway.They didnt do a very good job cleaning. There was a bra in the drawer in kids room and garbage left in there. The property advertised a travel crib that was not available. I messaged host and she said it was in a box in closet when entered. I sent her a message back that it wasn't there and they never responded. The outside swings etc is not usable so dont stay there for the children amenities. We were in town for 1 night for a police academy graduation. At 400 a night it was not worth the money. I would not stay again. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean.

The location of the home was great. The home was beautiful. It had rained and the backyard was flooded so we could not go out back.
